[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to perform ablution from impurity, then he would enter his right hand into the water and rub it on the right side of his head, following the roots of his hair. Then he would do the same with the left side of his head using his left hand. He would continue doing this until he covered his entire scalp. After that, he would pour water over his head three times.  

البيهقي:٨٢٥أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْفَقِيهُ أنا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ ثنا الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ ثنا حَمَّادُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَتَوَضَّأُ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ ثُمَّ يُدْخِلُ يَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى فِي الْمَاءِ ثُمَّ يُخَلِّلُ بِهَا شِقَّ رَأَسِهِ الْأَيْمَنِ فَيَتْبَعُ بِهَا أُصُولَ الشَّعْرِ ثُمَّ يَفْعَلُ بِشِقِّ رَأْسِهِ الْأَيْسَرِ بِيَدِهِ الْيُسْرَى كَذَلِكَ حَتَّى يَسْتَبْرِئَ الْبَشَرَةَ ثُمَّ يَصُبُّ عَلَى رَأْسِهَا ثَلَاثًا
