[Machine] We went out with Abu Bakr and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded him to lead us, so we engaged in battle until we reached a water source. Abu Bakr commanded us to give water to our animals. After performing the Fajr prayer, Abu Bakr commanded us to launch a surprise attack. We killed those we fought against near the water. Salamah said, "I looked and saw some people with their offspring and women. I was afraid they would escape to the mountains before me, so I shot an arrow that landed between them and the mountain. They got up and I brought them to Abu Bakr to see what to do with them. We continued driving them until we reached the water. Among them was a woman from Fazara, wearing a red leather necklace, and with her was a beautiful Arab girl. Abu Bakr's daughter fell in love with her and requested me to give her the girl as a servant. I did not uncover her until we reached Madinah. I left without uncovering her and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ met me and said, 'O Salamah, give me the woman.' I replied, 'O Messenger of Allah, I swear by Allah, she has amazed me and I have not uncovered her.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ remained silent and left me. The next day, he met me in the market and said, 'O Salamah, give me the woman for the sake of Allah, not your father.' I replied, 'O Messenger of Allah, I swear by Allah, I have not uncovered her and she is yours.' After that day, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent her to the people of Makkah who were holding Muslim captives. He ransomed them with that woman and they were freed. This is according to the narration of Abu al-Walid.

[Machine] We came from Hudaibiyah with the Messenger of Allah, and we pledged allegiance to him by a tree. He said, "I received the pledge of allegiance from the people first." Then, the Prophet ﷺ said to me, "Salama, pledge allegiance to me." I said, "O Messenger of Allah, by Allah, I have already pledged allegiance to you before the people." He said, "Again." So, I pledged allegiance to him. Then, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw me without armor, and he mentioned the story.

[Machine] We accompanied the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in a military expedition to Hawazin. While we were sitting for the morning prayer, a man came on a red camel and wrested a saddle from the camel's hump. He then tied his own camel with it and started walking until he sat with us to have breakfast. He looked at the faces of the people and noticed tenderness and most of them were foot soldiers. When he looked at the faces of the people, he marched until he reached his camel and sat on it as if he was a vanguard for the disbelievers. One of us, who embraced Islam, followed him on his own camel. I followed him on foot until I reached the camel's hump, then I moved forward and took hold of the camel's reins. I unsheathed my sword and struck him on the head and then I took his camel and led it to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ along with the people. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked, "Who killed this man?" They said, "Ibn Al-Akwaa did." He said, "May all his belongings be yours." And the wording is according to the narration of Abu Al-Walid.

[Machine] We participated in a battle with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in Hawazin. While we were sitting to eat our morning meal, a man came on a red camel and took a whip from the camel's saddle and tied his camel with it. Then, he came and sat with us to eat. He looked at the faces of the people and noticed that they had soft features and most of them were infantry. When he saw the people's faces, he got up and joined his camel again. He mounted it and became the vanguard for the disbelievers. One of our companions who had embraced Islam followed him on his own she-camel. I followed them both running until I reached them and held onto the reins of the camel. [Machine] We participated in a battle with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in Hawazin. While we were sitting and preparing to offer sacrifices, a man came riding on a red camel and took a she-camel by force from a group of camels. He tied it to his own camel and then came and sat with us to have a meal. He looked at the faces of the people and saw that they appeared soft and most of them were walking. When he looked at the faces of the people, he sneaked away until he reached his own camel, mounted it, and started leading the way for the disbelievers. One man from among us, who had embraced Islam, followed him on his own camel, a gray-colored one. I followed them, running on my feet until I reached the foot of the camel. Then I preceded and took hold of the camel's nose-strap, drew my sword and struck his head. Then I brought his camel and led it along with me as a booty. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ met me with the people and asked, "Who killed this man?" They replied, "Ibn Al-Akwa." The Prophet ﷺ said, "The booty belongs to you." And the wording of this narration is attributed to Abu Al-Walid.
