[Machine] My uncle came with a man from Ajlān riding on his camel and his horse, leading seventy of the polytheists until they stood in front of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Leave them." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ turned away from them. Then Allah revealed the verse, "And it is He who withheld their hands from you and your hands from them within [the area of] Makkah after He caused you to overcome them" (Quran, 48:24).  

الطبراني:٦٢٤٦ – حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَنْبَرٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ ثنا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ثنا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ إِيَاسِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

جَاءَ عَمِّي بِرَجُلٍ مِنْ عَجْلَانَ يَقُودُ بِهِ وَبِفَرَسِهِ فِي سَبْعِينَ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ حَتَّى وَقَفَ بِهِمْ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «دَعُوهُمْ» قَالَ فَعَقَلَ عَنْهُمْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ ﷻ {وَهُوَ الَّذِي كَفَّ أَيْدِيَهُمْ عَنْكُمْ وَأَيْدِيَكُمْ عَنْهُمْ بِبَطْنِ مَكَّةَ مِنْ بَعْدِ أَنْ أَظْفَرَكُمْ عَلَيْهِمْ} الْآيَةَ

مسلم:١٨٠٨ – حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ النَّاقِدُ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ ثَمَانِينَ رَجُلاً مِنْ أَهْلِ مَكَّةَ هَبَطُوا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ مِنْ جَبَلِ التَّنْعِيمِ مُتَسَلِّحِينَ يُرِيدُونَ غِرَّةَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَأَصْحَابِهِ فَأَخَذَهُمْ سَلَمًا فَاسْتَحْيَاهُمْ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ ﷻ { وَهُوَ الَّذِي كَفَّ أَيْدِيَهُمْ عَنْكُمْ وَأَيْدِيَكُمْ عَنْهُمْ بِبَطْنِ مَكَّةَ مِنْ بَعْدِ أَنْ أَظْفَرَكُمْ عَلَيْهِمْ}  

ahmad:14090 – ʿAffān > Ḥammād > Thābit > Anas

Anas said “Eighty Meccans came down from the mountain of Al Tan’im against the Prophet ﷺ and his Companions at the (time of the) dawn prayer to kill them. The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ took them captive without fighting and the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ set them free. Thereupon Allaah Most High sent down “He it is Who averted their hands from you and your hands from them in the valley of Makkah,” till the end of the verse. أحمد:١٤٠٩٠ – حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ثَابِتٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ

أَنَّ ثَمَانِينَ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَهْلِ مَكَّةَ هَبَطُوا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَصْحَابِهِ مِنْ جَبَلِ التَّنْعِيمِ عِنْدَ صَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ فَأَخَذَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ سِلْمًا فَعَفَا عَنْهُمْ وَنَزَلَ الْقُرْآنُ {وَهُوَ الَّذِي كَفَّ أَيْدِيَهُمْ عَنْكُمْ وَأَيْدِيَكُمْ عَنْهُمْ بِبَطْنِ مَكَّةَ مِنْ بَعْدِ أَنْ أَظْفَرَكُمْعَلَيْهِمْ} [الفتح 24]
