[Machine] If the people of the city were to take the hand of Allah's Messenger ﷺ and go with him in their need.
إِنْ كَانَتِ الْأَمَةُ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ لَتَأْخُذُ بِيَدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَتَنْطَلِقُ بِهِ فِي حَاجَتِهَا
[Machine] If the people of the city were to take the hand of Allah's Messenger ﷺ and go with him in their need.
إِنْ كَانَتِ الْأَمَةُ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ لَتَأْخُذُ بِيَدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَتَنْطَلِقُ بِهِ فِي حَاجَتِهَا
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever tells a lie about me deliberately, let him take his place in Hell.” (Using translation from Aḥmad 584)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَيَّ مُتَعَمِّدًا فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ
[Machine] When the Prophet ﷺ entered the house of Zainab, the daughter of Jahsh, he asked if she had anything to eat, and she served him bread and meat.
لَمَّا دَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِزَيْنَبَ ابْنَةِ جَحْشٍ أَوْلَمَ قَالَ فَأَطْعَمَنَا خُبْزًا وَلَحْمًا
[Machine] "The Hour will not be established until knowledge is taken away, ignorance prevails, men decrease in number, and women increase until there are fifty women for every man."
لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يُرْفَعَ الْعِلْمُ وَيَظْهَرَ الْجَهْلُ وَيَقِلَّ الرِّجَالُ وَتَكْثُرُ النِّسَاءُ حَتَّى يَكُونَ قَيِّمَ خَمْسِينَ امْرَأَةً رَجُلٌ وَاحِدٌ
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ prayed in a cloak made of wool and said, "I think it was tied between its two ends."
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ صَلَّى فِي بُرْدَةِ حِبَرَةٍ قَالَ أَحْسَبُهُ عَقَدَ بَيْنَ طَرَفَيْهَا
The Prophet used to go round to all his wives with one bath. (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 588)
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَطُوفُ عَلَى جَمِيعِ نِسَائِهِ بِغُسْلٍ وَاحِدٍ
"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered Al-Khala' (the toilet) and said: 'Allahumma inni a'uthu bika min al-khubuthi wal-khaba'ith (O Allah, I seek refuge with You from male and female devils)."[1] [1] See Ma'alam As-Sunan by Al-Khattabi. And Al-Khala' is the area one relieves oneself in. It refers to outside or other than that, it should not be understood to mean toilet only. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 19)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا دَخَلَ الْخَلَاءَ قَالَ اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْخُبْثِ وَالْخَبَائِثِ
"When any of the People of the Book greets you with Salam (peace), then say, Wa 'alaikum(and also upon you)." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3697)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا سَلَّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ أَهْلُ الْكِتَابِ فَقُولُوا وَعَلَيْكُمْ
Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Help your brother, whether he is an oppressor or he is an oppressed one." (Using translation from Bukhārī 2443)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ انْصُرْ أَخَاكَ ظَالِمًا أَوْ مَظْلُومًا قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ هَذَا أَنْصُرُهُ مَظْلُومًا فَكَيْفَ أَنْصُرُهُ إِذَا كَانَ ظَالِمًا؟ قَالَ تَحْجُزُهُ تَمْنَعُهُ فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ نَصْرُهُ
“Eat Suhur, for in Suhur there is a blessing.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1692)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ تَسَحَّرُوا فَإِنَّ فِي السُّحُورِ بَرَكَةً
[Machine] I heard Anas ibn Malik saying, "I saw the Prophet's ﷺ ring made of silver."
سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ رَأَيْتُ خَاتَمَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ
[Machine] When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ chose Safiyyah, he stayed with her for three nights and she was married to him.
لَمَّا اتَّخَذَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ صَفِيَّةَ أَقَامَ عِنْدَهَا ثَلَاثًا وَكَانَتْ ثَيِّبًا
[Machine] I witnessed two teachings from the wives of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ . They said, "We never had bread or meat to eat." He asked, "Then what did you have?" They replied, "Dates and water mixed with fats."
شَهِدْتُوَلِيمَتَيْنِ مِنْ نِسَاءِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ فَمَا أَطْعَمَنَا فِيهِمَا خُبْزًا وَلَا لَحْمًا قَالَ فَمَهْ؟ قَالَ الْحَيْسَ يَعْنِي التَّمْرَ وَالْأَقِطَ بِالسَّمْنِ
"The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: 'Do not be so close to the Mushrikin that you can benefit from the light of their fires, and do not engrave Arabic (words) on your rings.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5209)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَا تَسْتَضِيئُوا بِنَارِ الْمُشْرِكِ وَلَا تَنْقُشُوا فِي خَوَاتِيمِكُمْ عَرَبِيًّا
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "I entered Paradise and heard a rustle before me. It was Ghumaisa bint Milhan, the mother of Anas ibn Malik."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ دَخَلْتُ الْجَنَّةَ فَسَمِعْتُ خَشْفةً بَيْنَ يَدَيَّ فَإِذَا هِيَ الْغُمَيْصَاءُ بِنْتُ مِلْحَانَ أُمُّ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ
"On the Day of Uhud, the incisors of the Prophet ﷺ were broken, and he had a facial wound in the area of the forehead, such that the blood flowed over his face. He said: 'How can a people that do this to their Prophet succeed, while he is calling them to Allah?' So the following was revealed: Not for you is the decision; whether He turns in mercy towards them or punished them... (3:128) until its end." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 3002)
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كُسِرَتْ رَبَاعِيَتُهُ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ وَشُجَّ فِي جَبْهَتِهِ حَتَّى سَالَ الدَّمُ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ فَقَالَ كَيْفَ يُفْلِحُ قَوْمٌ فَعَلُوا هَذَا بِنَبِيِّهِمْ وَهُوَ يَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَى رَبِّهِمْ فَنَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ {لَيْسَ لَكَ مِنَ الْأَمْرِ شَيْءٌ أَوْ يَتُوبَ عَلَيْهِمْ أَوْ يُعَذِّبَهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ ظَالِمُونَ} [آل عمران 128]
that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ set Safiyyah free, and made her ransom her dowry, and he married her. (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1958)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَعْتَقَ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتَ حُيَيٍّ وَجَعَلَ عِتْقَهَا صَدَاقَهَا
Anas bin Malik said I heard the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ uttering talbiyah(labbaik) aloud for both Hajj and ‘Umrah. He was saying in a loud voice “Labbaik for ‘Umrah and Hajj, labbaik for ‘Umrah and Hajj”. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1795)
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُلَبِّي بِالْحَجِّ وَالْعُمْرَةِ جَمِيعًا يَقُولُ لَبَّيْكَ عُمْرَةً وَحَجًّا لَبَّيْكَ عُمْرَةً وَحَجًّا
[Machine] From Anas, and I think I have heard it from Anas, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by a man who was driving a camel. He said, "Ride it." The man said, "It is a camel for carrying goods." He said, "Ride it two or three times."
عَنْ أَنَسٍ وَأَظُنُّنِي قَدْ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ مَرَّ بِرَجُلٍ يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً فَقَالَ ارْكَبْهَا قَالَ إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ قَالَ ارْكَبْهَا مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثًا
"The Messenger of Allah used to sacrifice two pronounce the name of Allah and say: 'Allah Akabar,' and I saw him slaughtering them with his own hand, and placing his foot on their sides "(Sahih ) (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4416)
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُضَحِّي بِكَبْشَيْنِ أَقْرَنَيْنِ أَمْلَحَيْنِ وَكَانَ يُسَمِّي وَيُكَبِّرُ وَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُهُ يَذْبَحُهُمَا بِيَدِهِ وَاضِعًا عَلَى صِفَاحِهِمَا قَدَمَهُ
"Anas said: 'I heard the Prophet reciting the Talbiyah for 'Umrah and Hajj together. I told Ibn 'Umar about that and he said: "He recited the Talbiyah for Hajj only. I met Anas and told him what Ibn 'Umar had said, and Anas said: "do you think of us as no more than children? I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Labbaika 'Umratan wa Hajjan ma'an (Here I am (O allah) for 'Umrah and Hajj together) (sahih) (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2731)
سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يُلَبِّي بِالْحَجِّ وَالْعُمْرَةِ جَمِيعًا فَحَدَّثْتُ بِذَاكَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ فَقَالَ لَبَّى بِالْحَجِّ وَحْدَهُ فَلَقِيتُ أَنَسًا فَحَدَّثْتُهُ بِقَوْلِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ فَقَالَ مَاتَعُدُّونَا إِلَّا صِبْيَانًا سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَبَّيْكَ عُمْرَةً وَحَجًّا
[Machine] A man sneezed in front of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , and the other man praised him (the man who sneezed) by saying "May Allah have mercy on you." The Prophet ﷺ then said, "When one of you sneezes and praises Allah, let him say 'May Allah guide you and rectify your condition' (to the one who sneezed)."
عَطَسَ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ رَجُلَانِ فَشَمَّتَ أَحَدَهُمَا أَوْ قَالَ سَمَّتَ وَتَرَكَ الْآخَرَ فَقِيلَ رَجُلَانِ عَطَسَ أَحَدُهُمَا فَشَمَّتَّهُ وَلَمْ تُشَمِّتِ الْآخَرَ فَقَالَ إِنَّ هَذَاحَمِدَ اللهَ ﷻ
[Machine] Anas reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to prefer that the Muhajirun (emigrants) and the Ansar (helpers) pray behind him.
عَنْ أَنَسٍ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُحِبُّ أَنْ يَلِيَهُ الْمُهَاجِرُونَ وَالْأَنْصَارُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ
[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'If a morsel of food falls from any of you, let him pick it up and remove any harm from it, and do not leave it for the devil.'"
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا سَقَطَتْ لُقْمَةُ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلْيَأْخُذْهَا وَلْيَمْسَحْ مَا بِهَا مِنَ الْأَذَى وَلَا يَدَعْهَا لِلشَّيْطَانِ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not have twenty white hairs in his head and beard. Abu Bakr used to dye his hair and beard with henna and katam, and Umar used to dye his hair with henna.
لَمْ يَكُنْ فِي رَأْسِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَلِحْيَتِهِ عِشْرُونَ شَعَرَةً بَيْضَاءَ وَخَضَبَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ بِالْحِنَّاءِ وَالْكَتَمِ وَخَضَبَ عُمَرُ بِالْحِنَّاءِ
[Machine] Abu Taybah mentioned: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ measured out a saa' (a unit of measurement) of food for him, and then he spoke to his family and they reduced it for him."
حَجَمَ أَبُو طَيْبَةَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَعْطَاهُ صَاعًا مِنْ طَعَامٍ وَكَلَّمَ أَهْلَهُ فَخَفَّفُوا عَنْهُ
"Messenger of Allah was among the lightest of people in Salat with its completeness." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 237)
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ أَتَمِّ النَّاسِ صَلَاةًوَأَوْجَزِهِ
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ sold a cup and a pitcher to someone who wanted to buy it.
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ بَاعَ قَدَحًا وَحِلْسًا فِيمَنْ يَزِيدُ
This tradition has also been narrated on the authority of ‘A’ishah through a different chain. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 99)
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ نَحْوَهُ
we used to pray along with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in intense heat. When any of us could not rest his face on bare ground while prostrating due to intense heat he spread his cloth and would prostrate on it. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 660)
كُنَّا نُصَلِّي مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي شِدَّةِ الْحَرِّ فَإِذَا لَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ أَحَدُنَا أَنْ يُمَكِّنَ وَجْهَهُ مِنَ الْأَرْضِ بَسَطَ ثَوْبَهُ فَسَجَدَ عَلَيْهِ
The Prophet ﷺ said, If supper is served and the Iqama for (Isha) prayer is proclaimed, start with you supper first." (Using translation from Bukhārī 5463)
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا وُضِعَ الْعَشَاءُ وَأُقِيمَتِ الصَّلَاةُ فَابْدَءُوا بِالْعَشَاءِ
[Machine] If you missed a prayer or slept through it, then its expiation is to pray it when you remember it. Yazid said: And its expiation is to repent for it.
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ نَسِيَ صَلَاةً أَوْ نَامَ عَنْهَا فَإِنَّمَا كَفَّارَتُهَا أَنْ يُصَلِّيَهَا إِذَا ذَكَرَهَا قَالَيَزِيدُ فَكَفَّارَتُهَا أَنْ
Allah is pleased with His servant who says: Al-Hamdu lillah while taking a morsel of food and while drinking. (Using translation from Muslim 2734a)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ اللهَ لَيَرْضَى عَنِ الْعَبْدِ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ الْأُكْلَةَ فَيَحْمَدَ اللهَ عَلَيْهَا أَوْ يَشْرَبَ الشَّرْبَةَ
I served the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for nine years, and I do not know (of any instance) when he said to me: Why you have done this and that, and he never found fault with me in anything. (Using translation from Muslim 2309d)
خَدَمْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ تِسْعَ سِنِينَ فَمَا أَعْلَمُهُ قَالَ لِي قَطُّ هَلَّا فَعَلْتَ كَذَا وَكَذَا وَلَا عَابَ عَلَيَّ شَيْئًا قَطُّ
"I said to Anas bin Malik: 'Narrated something to me that you understand about where the Messenger of Allah performed Zuhr on the Day of Tarwiyah.' He said: 'In Mina.'" "I said: 'So where did he pray Asr on the day of departure?' He said: 'In Al-Abtab.' Then he said: 'Do what your leaders do.'" (Using translation from Tirmidhī 964)
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَيْنَ صَلَّى الظُّهْرَ يَوْمَ التَّرْوِيَةِ؟ قَالَ بِمِنًى وَأَيْنَ صَلَّى الْعَصْرَ يَوْمَ النَّفْرِ؟ قَالَ بِالْأَبْطَحِ قَالَ ثُمَّ قَالَ افْعَلْ كَمَا يَفْعَلُ أُمَرَاؤُكَ
I said to Anas b. Malik: Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pray while putting on the shoes? He said: Yes. (Using translation from Muslim 555a)
قُلْتُ لِأَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي فِي نَعْلَيْهِ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ
[Machine] I heard Anas ibn Malik say, "I do not know anything today that we used to practice during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ." We asked him, "So where is the prayer?" He replied, "Did you not do in the prayer what you already knew?"
سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ مَا أَعْرِفُ شَيْئًا الْيَوْمَ مِمَّا كُنَّا عَلَيْهِ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ قُلْنَا لَهُ فَأَيْنَ الصَّلَاةُ؟ قَالَ أَوَلَمْ تَصْنَعُوا فِي الصَّلَاةِ مَا قَدْ عَلِمْتُمْ
Anas reported that Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade that a person should (wear) clothes dyed in saffron. (Using translation from Muslim 2101b)
نَهَى نَبِيُّ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ يَتَزَعْفَرَ الرَّجُلُ
“None of you should wish for death because of some harm that befalls him. If he must wish for death, let him say: ‘O Allah, keep me alive so long as living is good for me and cause me to die when death is good for me.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 4265)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يَتَمَنَّيَنَّ أَحَدُكُمُ الْمَوْتَ لِضُرٍّ نَزَلَ بِهِ فَإِنْ كَانَ لَا بُدَّ مُتَمَنِّيًا الْمَوْتِ فَلْيَقُلْ اللهُمَّ أَحْيِنِي مَا كَانَتِ الْحَيَاةُ خَيْرًا لِي وَتَوَفَّنِي إِذَا كَانَتِ الْوَفَاةُ خَيْرًا لِي
When one of you makes supplication, he should supplicate with a will and should not say: O Allah, confer upon me if Thou likest, for there is none to coerce Allah. (Using translation from Muslim 2678)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا دَعَا أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَعْزِمْ فِي الدُّعَاءِ وَلَا يَقُلْ اللهُمَّ إِنْ شِئْتَ فَأَعْطِنِي فَإِنَّ اللهَ لَا مُسْتَكْرِهَ لَهُ
Which Supplication would the Prophet ﷺ often make ? He replied: The supplication he would usually recite was: "O Allah, give us in this world what is good and in the next what is good, and protect us from the punishment of Hell-fire". The version of Ziyad adds: When Anas wished to supplicate, he uttered this supplication. When he uttered some other supplication, he combined it with this supplication. سَأَلَ قَتَادَةُ أَنَسًا أَيُّ دَعْوَةٍ كَانَ أَكْثَرَ يَدْعُو بِهَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ؟ قَالَكَانَ أَكْثَرُ دَعْوَةٍ يَدْعُو بِهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ اللهُمَّ رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ وَكَانَ أَنَسٌ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَدْعُوَ بِدَعْوَةٍ دَعَا بِهَا وَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَدْعُوَ بِدُعَاءٍ دَعَا بِهَا فِيهِ
[Machine] Mu'adh used to lead his people in prayer. One day, he entered a prohibited area while intending to water his palm tree. He then entered the mosque to pray with the people. When Mu'adh saw that his prayer was lengthy, he hurriedly completed it and went to water his palm tree. After Mu'adh finished his prayer, it was said to him, "Indeed, you entered the mosque while in a state of impurity."
كَانَ مُعَاذٌ يَؤُمُّ قَوْمَهُ فَدَخَلَ حَرَامٌ وَهُوَ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَسْقِيَ نَخْلَهُ فَدَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ لِيُصَلِّيَ مَعَ الْقَوْمِ فَلَمَّا رَأَى مُعَاذًا طَوَّلَ تَجَوَّزَ فِي صَلَاتِهِ وَلَحِقَ بِنَخْلِهِ يَسْقِيهِ فَلَمَّا قَضَى مُعَاذٌ الصَلَاة قِيلَ لَهُ إِنَّ حَرَامًا دَخَلَالْمَسْجِدَ
"Whenever the Messenger of Allah entered the toilet, he would say: 'A'udhu Billahi minal-khubthi wa'l-khaba'ith (I seek refuge with Allah from male and female devils).'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 298)
كَانَ نَبِيُّ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا دَخَلَ الْخَلَاءَ قَالَ أَعُوذُ بِاللهِ مِنَ الْخُبْثِ وَالْخَبَائِثِ
the Messenger of Allah used to sacrifice two rams. And Anas said: "And I sacrifice two rams." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4385)
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُضَحِّي بِكَبْشَيْنِ قَالَ أَنَسٌ وَأَنَا أُضَحِّي بِكَبْشَيْنِ
He heard ʿUmar bin al-Khattab delivering a khutbah, He [ʼUmar] said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever wears silk in this world will not wear it in the Hereafter.” (Using translation from Aḥmad 269)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ لَبِسَ الْحَرِيرَفِي الدُّنْيَا فَلَنْ يَلْبَسَهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ
What is this? They said: It is for Zainab. She prays and when she slackens or feels tired she holds it. Upon this he (the Holy Prophet) said: Untie it. Let one pray as long as one feels fresh but when one slackens or becomes tired one must stop it. (And in the hadith transmitted by Zuhair it is:" He should sit down." ) (Using translation from Muslim 784a)
دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْمَسْجِدَ وَحَبْلٌ مَمْدُودٌ بَيْنَ سَارِيَتَيْنِ فَقَالَ مَا هَذَا؟ قَالُوا لِزَيْنَبَ تُصَلِّي فَإِذَا كَسِلَتْ أَوْ فَتَرَتْ أَمْسَكَتْ بِهِ فَقَالَ حُلُّوهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ لِيُصَلِّ أَحَدُكُمْ نَشَاطَهُ فَإِذَا كَسِلَ أَوْ فَتَرَ فَلْيَقْعُدْ
"The Iqamah for prayer was said, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was conversing privately with a man, and did not commence the prayer until the people slept." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 791)
أُقِيمَتِ الصَّلَاةُ وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ نَجِيٌّ لِرَجُلٍ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَمَا قَامَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ حَتَّى نَامَ الْقَوْمُ
When Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to Medina, Abla Talha took hold of my hand and brought me to Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: Messenger of Allah, Anas is a prudent young boy, and he will serve you. He (Anas) said: I served him in journey and at home, but, by Allah, he never asked me about a thing which I did as to why I did so, nor about a thing which I did not do as to why I had not done that. لَمَّا قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ أَخَذَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ بِيَدِي فَانْطَلَقَ بِي إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ أَنَسًا غُلَامٌ كَيِّسٌ فَلْيَخْدُمْكَ قَالَ فَخَدَمْتُهُ فِي السَّفَرِ وَالْحَضَرِ وَاللهِ مَا قَالَ لِي لِشَيْءٍ صَنَعْتُهُ لِمَ صَنَعْتَ هَذَا هَكَذَا؟ وَلَا لِشَيْءٍ لَمْ أَصْنَعْهُ لِمَ لَمْ تَصْنَعْ هَذَا هَكَذَا؟
“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ had a ring made for him, and he said: ‘I have had a ring made for me and had it engraved, and no one should make a ring with similar engraving.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3640)
اصْطَنَعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ خَاتَمًا فَقَالَ إِنَّا قَدِ اصْطَنَعْنَا خَاتَمًا وَنَقَشْنَا فِيهِ نَقْشًا فَلَا يَنْقُشُ أَحَدٌ عَلَيْهِ
The Prophet ﷺ used to pray a short prayer (in congregation) but used to offer it in a perfect manner. (Using translation from Bukhārī 706)
