The Prophet(peace be upon hm), Abu Bakr, ‘Umar and ‘Uthman used to begin the recitation with “Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Universe.” (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 782)

ahmad:11992Ismāʿīl > ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz > Anas

"The Messenger of Allah invaded Khaibar and we prayed Al-Ghadah (Fajr) there (early in the morning) when it was still dark. Then the Prophet rode and Abu Talha rode, and I was riding behind Abu Talha. The Prophet of Allah passed through the lane of Khaibar quickly, and my knee was touching the thigh of the Messenger of Allah, and I could see the whiteness of the thigh of the Prophet. When he entered the town he said: 'Allahu Akbar, Khaibar is destroyed! Whenever we approach a (hostile) nation to fight, evil will be the morning for those who have been warned.' He said this three times. The people came out for their work." (One of the narrators) 'Abdul-'Aziz said: "They said: 'Muhammad (has come)!'" 'Abdul-'Aziz said: "Some of our companions said: 'With his army.'" "We conquered Khaibar and gathered the captives. Dihyah came and said: 'O Prophet of Allah, give me a slave girl from among the captives.' He said: 'Go and take a slave girl.' He took Safiyyah bint Huyayy. Then a man came to the Prophet and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, you gave Dihyah Safiyyah bint Huyayy, and she is the chief mistress of Quraizah and An-Nadir, and she is fit for no one but you.' He said: 'Call him to bring her.' When the Prophet saw her, he said: 'Take any other slave girl from among the captives.'" He said: "The Prophet of Allah set her free and married her." (One of the narrators) Thabit said to him: "O Abu Hamzah, what dowry did he give her?" He (Anas) said: "Herself; he set her free and married her." He said: "While on the road, Umm Sulaim fitted her out and presented her to him in the night, and the following morning he was a bridegroom. He said: 'Whoever has anything, let him bring it.' He spread out a leather cloth and men came with cottage cheese, dates, and ghee, and they made Hais, and that was the Walimah (wedding feast) of the Messenger of Allah." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3380)

ahmad:11996Muḥammad b. Fuḍayl > al-Mukhtār b. Fulful > Anas b. Mālik

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ dozed for a short while and raised his smiling. He either said to them(people) or they said to him: Messenger of Allah! Why did you laugh? He said: A surah has been revealed to me just now, and then he recited: “In the name of Allah, Most Gracious. Most Merciful. To thee We have granted the fount (of abundance)” up to the end. When he recited, he asked: Do you know what al-kauthar is? They replied: Allah and his Apostle know best. He said: It is a river which my Lord, the Exalted, has promised me( to grant) in Paradise: there is abundance of good and upon it there is a pond which my people will approach on the Day of Resurrection. There are vessels as numerous as stars(in the sky). (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4747)

There are three qualities for which anyone who is characterised by them will relish the sweetness of faith: he to whom Allah and His Messenger are dearer than all else; he who loves a man for Allah's sake alone; and he who has as great an abhorrence of returning to unbelief after Allah has rescued him from it as he has of being cast into Hell. He said: "What have you prepared for it?" He said: "O Messenger of allah! I have not prepared very much of salat nor fasting for it, but I love Allah and His Messenger." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "A man shall be with whom ever he loves, and you shall be with whomever you love." "There was no rain for a year, so some of the Muslims went to the Prophet ﷺ one Friday and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, there has been no rain; the land has become bare and our wealth has been destroyed.' He raised his hands, and we did not see any cloud in the sky. He stretched forth his hands until I could see the whiteness of his armpits, praying to Allah (SWT) for rain. When we finished praying Jumu'ah, even a young man whose house nearby was worried about how he would get home. That lasted for a week, then on the following Friday they said: 'O Messenger of Allah, houses have been destroyed and all travel has been ceased.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ smiled at how quickly the sons of Adam become weary, and he said with his hands raised: 'O Allah, around us and not on us,' and it dispersed from Al-Madinah." Have you found what your Lord promised to be true? For I have found what my Lord promised me to be true.' They said: 'O Messenger of Allah, are you calling out to people who have turned into rotten corpses?' He said: 'You do not hear what I say any better than they do, but they cannot answer.'" Did I not come to you while you were divided, and Allah united you through me? Did I not come to you when you had enemies, and Allah brought your hearts together through me?" They said, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "Then why don't you say, 'You came to us scared, and we believed in you, deserted, and we sheltered you, and rejected, and we supported you?' They said, 'Rather, it is by Allah's favor upon us and His Messenger's.'"

[Machine] When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ set out to Badr, he consulted the people. Abu Bakr indicated towards him, then they consulted him and Umar pointed towards him. He remained silent. A man from the Ansar said, "He only wants you." They said, "O Messenger of Allah, by Allah, we will not be like the Children of Israel who said to Musa, 'Go, you and your Lord, and fight. We are sitting here.' But, by Allah, if you were to strike their livers until you reach the depths of their hearts, we would still be with you."

[Machine] I invited the Muslims to the feast of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the morning, hosted by Bana Bint Jahsh. He fed the Muslims bread and meat. Then, he returned as he used to do and greeted his wives, and they said hello to him. Then, he returned to his house with me. When he reached the house, he saw two men talking near the house. When he saw them, he turned back. When the two men saw the Prophet ﷺ leaving his house, they hurried towards him. I don't know if I informed him or he was informed about them, so he returned to his house and put a curtain between him and me. Then, the verse of hijab was revealed.

[Machine] And she said to her family, "Do not inform anyone from among you of the death of Abu Talhah's son." So he returned to his family, and some people from the people of the mosque who were his companions accompanied him. He asked, "What did the boy do?" She said, "He did the best thing. So I brought them their dinner, and they ate. Then the people left, and the woman went to where women go. When it was the end of the night, she said, "O Abu Talhah, did you not see how the Fulan family borrowed a female camel and enjoyed her, but when she was demanded back, they disliked that?" He said, "They were not fair." She said, "Indeed, your son was borrowed from Allah the Almighty and Allah took him back, so He returned him." Abu Talhah praised Allah. When morning came, he went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and when he saw him, he said, "May Allah bless your night." She became pregnant with Abdullah and gave birth to him at night. And she disliked to give him a bath until the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave him a bath. He said, "Do you have anything with you?" I said, "Some dates of al-'Ajwah." So he took some of them and chewed them, and then he saliva and gave it to the child, and he rubbed it on his body. Then he said, "The love of the Ansar is in dates." I said, "O Messenger of Allah, name him." He said, "His name is Abdullah."
