13. Chapter of Sīn (Male)
[Machine] "I was sleeping on a mountain from the mountains of Sarat, then a man came and kicked me with his foot and said, 'Get up, O Suwad bin Qarib, a messenger from Lu'ayy bin Ghalib has come to you.' So, I sat up, turned away, while he was saying..."
[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, I am a man who is attracted to beauty, and I have been given some of it, as you can see. But I do not like anyone to surpass me in the extent of my sandal or shoe. Is that arrogance?" He said, "No." I asked, "Then what is arrogance, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "Arrogance is rejecting the truth and looking down upon people."
[Machine] A man asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I am a man who has been made to love beauty and attractiveness to the extent that I do not like anyone to surpass me in appearance. Is that arrogance?" He ﷺ replied, "No, but arrogance is rejecting the truth and looking down upon others."
