13. Chapter of Sīn (Male)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whenever a group of people sit in a gathering and remember Allah, and then disperse, they will be told by Allah: 'Rise up, for I have forgiven your sins and replaced your bad deeds with good ones.'"
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ instructed the digging of a trench from the depths of the valley of Bani Haritha during the Battle of the Trench, until it reached the area of the butcher shops. He divided the digging into sections of forty arm-lengths, and the immigrants and the Ansar sought permission from Salman Al-Farisi, may Allah be pleased with him, who was a strong man. The immigrants said, "Salman is one of us," and the Ansar said, "Salman is one of us." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said, "Salman is one of us, the People of the House."
[Machine] "He read the Quran and paused at its ambiguous parts, so he made what is halal permissible and what is haram prohibited."
[Machine] He read the Quran and paused at its ambiguous parts, then he made lawful what is lawful and prohibited what is prohibited.

[Machine] He recited the Quran and paused at its ambiguous verses, so he allowed what was permitted and forbade what was prohibited.

[Machine] He read the Quran and stopped at its ambiguous (i.e., metaphorical or unclear) verse, so he interpreted its lawful (i.e., permissible) aspects and prohibited its forbidden (i.e., impermissible) aspects.

[Machine] The passage translates to "He read the Qur'an and stopped at its ambiguities, so he made the permissible lawful and the forbidden prohibited."

[Machine] He read the Quran and stopped at its ambiguous parts, then he clarified its lawful and unlawful.
[Machine] "He read the Quran and stopped at its ambiguous verses, then he permitted what is lawful and prohibited what is forbidden."
[Machine] When Salman knew that death had arrived, he called me while he was in a room that had four doors. He said, "Open these doors, O Buqayrah, for today I have visitors and I do not know which of these doors they will enter through." Then he asked for some musk and said, "Rub it on my body with a tawr." So I did as he asked. Then he said, "Slaughter a sheep around my bed." After that, he said, "Take it down and stay by it, for soon you will see my proximity to my bed." So I looked and found that his soul had been taken, as if he were sleeping on his bed or something similar to that.
[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "Three people will be led to Paradise by the Hoor al-Ayn: Ali, Ammar, and Salman."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "Verily, Jannah (paradise) longs for four individuals - Ali ibn Abi Talib, Ammar ibn Yasir, Salman al-Farsi, and Miqdad ibn Aswad."
[Machine] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ directing his gaze towards the sky, so I said, "O Messenger of Allah, what is this?" He replied, "I saw an angel who descended with the deeds of Salman."
[Machine] "Ali said, 'Verily, every prophet is given seven intimate advisers, and we have been given fourteen. We asked Ali, 'Who are they?' He replied, 'Me, my two sons, Ja'far and Hamza, Abu Bakr, Umar, Mus'ab ibn Umair, Bilal, Salman, Ammar, and Abdullah ibn Mas'ood.' The number fourteen was not completed in this narrative."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Every prophet is given nine companions, and I was given fourteen." Ali was asked, "Who are they?" He said, "They are me, my two sons Hassan and Hussain, Hamza, Ja'far, Abu Bakr, Umar, Miqdad, Salman, Talha, and Zubayr." However, Fitr ibn Khalifa ibn Uyaynah disagreed with the chain of narrators of this Hadith.
I heard ‘Abdullah bin Mulail say: I heard Ali ؓ say: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ʿThere is no Prophet who came before me but he was given seven chiefs, advisors and nobles, but I have been given fourteen. Hamzah, Jaʿfar, ʿAli, Hasan, Husain, Abu Bakr, ʻUmar, al-Miqdad, Hudhaifah, Salman, ʿAmmar and Bilal”. ؓ (Using translation from Aḥmad 1263)
[Machine] That Abu Darda went with Salman al-Farisi to propose to a woman from Banu Layth, and when he entered he mentioned the virtues of Salman and his precedence and his Islam, and he mentioned that he was proposing to their daughter, so they said, "As for Salman, we will not marry him, but we will marry you." So he married her, then he left and said, "Indeed, he was something, and I am hesitant to mention it." Abu Darda informed him of the news, and Salman said, "I am more deserving to be hesitant than you to propose to her, and Allah decreed her for you."
[Machine] That night, he stayed with Salman to observe his diligence. Salman said, "So he stood to pray at the end of the night as if he had not seen what he thought. He mentioned it to him, and Salman replied, 'May Allah have mercy on you, maintain these five prayers, for they are expiations for these wounds as long as they have not reached the level of being fatal. When people pray Isha, they divide into three groups: some have obligations and no debts, some have debts and no obligations, and some have neither debts nor obligations.' There was a man who took advantage of the darkness of the night in people's unawareness and committed sins. He indulged himself in disobedience. That is upon him, and not upon those who have debts or obligations. There was also a man who took advantage of the darkness of the night and people's unawareness, so he stood to pray. That is for him and not upon those who have neither debts nor obligations. There was a man who prayed and then slept. That is neither for him nor upon those who have neither debts nor obligations. Beware of excessive yawning, and be consistent in intent and perseverance."
[Machine] There was a dispute between Salman al-Farsi and a person. Salman said, "O Allah, if he is lying, do not let him die until one of the three witnesses him." When the anger subsided, I asked, "O Abu Abdullah, what did you invoke for regarding this?" He said, "I inform you of the tribulation of the Dajjal and the tribulation of a leader, similar to the tribulation of the Dajjal, and greed, avarice, that will come upon people when a man becomes wealthy, he will not care about what affects others."
[Machine] Salman arrived with twelve or thirteen passengers from the companions of Muhammad ﷺ . When the prayer was about to start, they said, "Go ahead, O Abu Abdullah." He replied, "We do not lead you in prayer nor do we marry your women, for Allah has guided us through you." Then, a man from the people went forward and prayed four units. After he finished, Salman said, "Why did we join in when half of it was enough for us? We are in need of leniency." Abdul Razzaq said, meaning in travel.
[Machine] Salman saw a young girl, so he said to her in Persian, "Pray." She said, "No." He said, "Prostrate once." She said, "No." It was said, "Oh Abu Abdullah, will one prostration not suffice?" He said, "If she prays, let her pray. And there is no one who has a stake in Islam like the one who has no stake."
[Machine] Salman al-Farsi used to say, "When I finish my meal, praise be to Allah who has provided us with sustenance and has bestowed upon us ample provision."
[Machine] Ibn Sireen reported that Abu Darda used to revive the night of Jumu'ah (Friday) and fast during its day. Salman came to him and the Prophet ﷺ had established a brotherly relationship between them, so Salman slept with him. Abu Darda intended to stay awake for the night, but Salman stood up to him and did not leave him until he fell asleep and broke his fast. Abu Darda then went to the Prophet ﷺ and informed him, and the Prophet ﷺ said, "Salman knows better than you. Do not single out the night of Jumu'ah with prayer or its day with fasting."
[Machine] He said, "Zaid, O Abu Abdullah, why do you do this while you are the companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ?" He said, "Indeed, when the soul acquires its provision, it becomes serene and free to dedicate itself to worship, and it becomes immune from whispers."
[Machine] "Yes," they said, "are you the companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ?" He said, "I do not know, so they doubted and said, "Perhaps he is not the one we are looking for." He said to them, "I am your companion, the one you are looking for. I have seen the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and sat with him. But the one who enters Paradise with him is his true companion. So what is your need?" They said, "We have come to you from your brother in Sham." He said, "Who is he?" They said, "Abu Darda." He asked, "Where is the gift he sent with you?" They said, "He did not send us with any gift." He said, "Fear Allah and fulfill your trust. No one comes from him except that he brings a gift with him." They said, "Do not rush us, for we have wealth. We will compensate you for it." He said, "I do not want your wealth. I only want the gift that he sent with you." They said, "By Allah, he did not send us with anything except that he said, 'Indeed, among you is a man who was the Messenger of Allah's companion. When he is alone with him, no one desires anything but him. So when you come to him, convey my greetings of peace to him.' " He said, "A gift, I wanted something other than this?
