[Machine] There was a young man from the Ansar who was newly married. He went out with the Prophet ﷺ on a military expedition. On his way back, he looked towards his house and saw a woman standing in the room. He pointed his spear towards her and asked her to let him in to see what was inside the house. When he entered, he found a snake coiled around his bed. He killed the snake with his spear, but as a result, both the snake and the man died. This incident was mentioned to the Prophet ﷺ , who said, "Verily, there are jinn in Madinah who have embraced Islam. Or he said, 'These houses have their inhabitants.' So, when you see anything from them, seek refuge in Allah from it. Then, if it returns, kill it."
