[Machine] A woman came to the Prophet ﷺ and offered herself to him, but he remained silent. She then presented herself to him again, and he remained silent. He said, "I saw her standing or leaning, offering herself to him while he remained silent." A man from the Ansar (helpers) stood up and said, "O Messenger of Allah, if you have no need for her, then marry her to me." He said, "Do you have anything to offer?" The man said, "No, by Allah, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "Then go and find something, even if it is just a ring made of iron." So the man went and then returned, saying, "By Allah, I did not find anything except for this garment of mine, which is the most precious thing I have between me and her." The Prophet ﷺ said, "There is no favor for you in your garment, so have you memorized anything from the Quran?" The man said, "Yes." The Prophet ﷺ asked, "What?" The man mentioned a specific chapter. The Prophet ﷺ said, "You have indeed given her away with what you have from the Quran." Then, I saw him walking while she was following him.
