13. Chapter of Sīn (Male)

١٣۔ بَابُ السِّينِ

١٣۔٤٠ سَهْلُ بْنُ حَارِثَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ «كَانَ يَنْزِلُ الْمَدِينَةَ»

[Machine] A group of people complained to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ that they lived in a house that was too small for them. He advised them to leave the house since it was not suitable for them.  

الطبراني:٥٦٣٩حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الصَّائِغُ الْمَكِّيُّ ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ ثنا أَنَسُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ قَالَ

اشْتَكَى قَوْمٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُمْ سَكَنُوا دَارًا وَهُمْ عَدَدٌ فَفَنَوْا قَالَ «فَهَلَّا تَرَكْتُمُوهَا وَهِيَ ذَمِيمَةٌ»

[Machine] When the Prophet ﷺ arrived in Medina after the Farewell Hajj, he ascended the pulpit, praised and glorified Allah, and then said, "O people, Abu Bakr has never wronged me. Know that. O people, I am pleased with Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali, Talha, Zubayr, Sa'd, Abdur Rahman ibn Awf, and the early emigrants. Know that. O people, protect me in regards to my companions, in-laws, and sisters. May Allah not hold you accountable for any wrongdoing against them. O people, speak well of the Muslims and when one of them passes away, say good things about them."  

الطبراني:٥٦٤٠aحَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْوَزِيرُ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يُوسُفَ بْنِ سِنَانِ بْنِ مَالِكِ بْنِ مُسَمِّعٍ ثنا سَهْلُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ بْنِ سَهْلِ ابْنِ أَخِي كَعْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ

لَمَّا قَدِمَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ الْمَدِينَةَ مِنْ حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ صَعِدَ الْمِنْبَرَ فَحَمِدَ اللهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ «يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ لَمْ يَسُؤْنِي قَطُّ فَاعْرَفُوا ذَلِكَ لَهُ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنِّي رَاضٍ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ وَعُثْمَانَ وَعَلِيٍّ وَطَلْحَةَ وَالزُّبَيْرِ وَسَعْدٍ وَعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ وَالْمُهَاجِرِينَ الْأَوَّلِينَ رَاضٍ فَاعْرَفُوا ذَلِكَ لَهُمْ» أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ احْفَظُونِي فِي أَصْحَابِي وَأَصْهَارِي وَأَخْتَانِي لَا يَطْلُبَنَّكُمُ اللهُ بِمَظْلِمَةِ أَحَدٍ مِنْهُمْ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ ارْفَعُوا الْمُسْتَنْكِرَ عَنِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَإِذَا مَاتَ أَحَدٌ مِنْهُمْ فَقُولُوا فِيهِ خَيْرًا

[Machine] When the Prophet ﷺ arrived in Medina after the Farewell Pilgrimage, he ascended the pulpit and praised and glorified Allah. Then he said, "O people, Abu Bakr has never wronged me, so acknowledge that. O people, I am pleased with Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali, Talha, Zubair, Saad, Abdur Rahman ibn Auf, and the earlier emigrants. So acknowledge that for them." "O people, protect and preserve me among my companions, my in-laws, and my relatives. May Allah not hold you accountable for any wrongdoing against them. O people, defend the Muslims against the criticism of others, and when one of them passes away, say good things about them."

[Machine] When the Prophet ﷺ arrived in Medina after the Farewell Hajj, he stood on the pulpit and praised and glorified Allah. Then he said, "O people, Abu Bakr has never wronged me, so recognize his rights. O people, I am pleased with Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali, Talha, Zubair, Saad, Abdul Rahman ibn Auf, and the early emigrants. So recognize their rights. O people, protect me among my companions, my relatives, and my sisters. May Allah not hold you accountable for the injustice of any of them. O people, remove the disapprovals from the Muslims. And when one of them dies, say good things about them."

لَمَّا قَدِمَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ الْمَدِينَةَ مِنْ حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ صَعِدَ الْمِنْبَرَ فَحَمِدَ اللهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ «يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ لَمْ يَسُؤْنِي قَطُّ فَاعْرَفُوا ذَلِكَ لَهُ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنِّي رَاضٍ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ وَعُثْمَانَ وَعَلِيٍّ وَطَلْحَةَ وَالزُّبَيْرِ وَسَعْدٍ وَعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ وَالْمُهَاجِرِينَ الْأَوَّلِينَ رَاضٍ فَاعْرَفُوا ذَلِكَ لَهُمْ» أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ احْفَظُونِي فِي أَصْحَابِي وَأَصْهَارِي وَأَخْتَانِي لَا يَطْلُبَنَّكُمُ اللهُ بِمَظْلِمَةِ أَحَدٍ مِنْهُمْ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ ارْفَعُوا الْمُسْتَنْكِرَ عَنِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَإِذَا مَاتَ أَحَدٌ مِنْهُمْ فَقُولُوا فِيهِ خَيْرًا

[Machine] And it is said Su'hayl and the correct form is Sahl. He used to descend to Basra.

وَيُقَالُ سُهَيْلٌ وَالصَّوَابُ سَهْلٌ «كَانَ يَنْزِلُ الْبَصْرَةَ»
