[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Indeed, when a Muslim meets his brother Muslim and shakes his hand, their sins are forgiven as the leaves fall from a dry tree on a windy day. Otherwise, their sins will be forgiven even if they were as abundant as the foam of the sea."

tabarani:6151[Chain 1] Abū Muslim al-Kashhī > Ibrāhīm b. Ḥumayd al-Ṭawīl [Chain 2] ʿAlī b. ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz > Ḥajjāj b. al-Minhāl > Ḥammād b. Salamah > ʿAlī b. Zayd > Abū ʿUthmān al-Nahdī

[Machine] I was with Salman al-Farsi under a tree, and he took a dry branch from its branches and shook it until its leaves fell. Then he said, "Ask me why I did this, O Salman." So I said, "Why did you do it?" He said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ did the same. I was with him under a tree, and he took a dry branch from its branches and shook it until its leaves fell. Then he said, 'Don't you ask me why I did this, O Salman?' So I said, 'Why did you do it?' He said, 'Indeed, when a Muslim performs ablution and perfects it, then prays the five daily prayers, his sins are shaken off just as these leaves are shaken off.' Then he recited this verse, 'Establish prayer at the two ends of the day and at the approach of the night. Indeed, good deeds do away with misdeeds. That is a reminder for those who remember.'"
