13. Chapter of Sīn (Male) (23/36)
[Machine] We were with the Prophet (PBUH) during a battle, and we became extremely thirsty. So, we complained about that to the Prophet (PBUH), and he said, "Do you have any water left in the container?" So, a man came to him with a container of water, and the Prophet (PBUH) dug a hole in the ground and placed a saucer on it. He then placed his hand on the ground and said to the owner of the water container, "Pour the water onto my hand and mention the name of Allah." He did so, and Abu Laila said, "I saw the water gushing out from between the fingers of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) until all the people drank from it."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, may ﷺ , said, "I will give the flag to a man who loves Allah and His Messenger, and whom Allah and His Messenger love." So, he called Ali and gave it to him.
[Machine] "From his brother Isa or the judge or both of them, from Abdul Rahman bin Abi Layla, from his father, he said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Whoever sees a snake and does not kill it out of fear of its pursuit, then he is not one of us.'"
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about the house-snakes. He said: When you see one of them in your dwelling, say: I adjure you by the covenant which Noah made with you, and I adjure you by the covenant which Solomon made with you not to harm us. Then if they come back, kill them. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 5260)
[Machine] "That he passed by the Prophet ﷺ while he was praying voluntarily and he passed by a verse mentioning the Hellfire, so he said, 'Woe to the people of the Hellfire! I seek refuge in Allah from the punishment of the Hellfire.'"
[Machine] When the Prophet ﷺ came seeking victory in Ta'if, he entered it and was given a drink made from barley. He drank it and said to me, "O Ruqayyah, do not worship their tyrant rulers, nor pray for them." I said, "If I say that, they will kill me." He said, "If they say that to you, then say, 'My Lord is the Lord of this tyrant.' And when you pray, turn your back to it." Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ left their presence. Ruqayyah's daughter told me that my brothers, Sufyan and Wahb ibn Qays ibn Aban, said, "When Thaqif embraced Islam, we went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he asked, 'What did your mother do?' We said, 'She died in the state she was left in.' He said, 'Then your mother embraced Islam.'"
I ate the flesh of a bustard along with the Prophet ﷺ. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3797)
[Machine] I was with the Prophet ﷺ when Ali came and sought permission. He lightly knocked on the door and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Safinah, open the door for him."
[Machine] On the authority of the shipmaster of the Prophet ﷺ, it is reported that the Prophet ﷺ was given a bird, and he said, "O Allah, bring to me your most beloved creation to eat with me of this bird." So, Ali came and the Prophet ﷺ said, "O Allah, gather them together."
We went out intending (to visit) the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and Wa'il ibn Hujr was with us. His enemy caught him. The people desisted from swearing an oath, but I took an oath that he was my brother. So he left him. We then came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and I informed him that the people desisted from taking the oath, but I swore that he was my brother. He said: You spoke the truth: A Muslim is a brother of a Muslim. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3256)

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ entered the house of charity with Hasan accompanying him. He took a date and put it in his mouth, then the Prophet ﷺ brought out his finger from his mouth, and he said, "Indeed, we, the people of the Prophet's household, are not allowed to accept charity."
[Machine] We were with the Prophet ﷺ on the day of the victory. He said, "Verily, Abu Sufyan is in the arak (a type of tree), so we entered and took hold of him. The Muslims started coming to him, concealing their swords, until they brought him to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. The Messenger said to him, 'Woe to you, O Abu Sufyan! I have brought you worldly and hereafter, so become a Muslim and you will be safe.' Abbas was his friend, so he said to him, 'O Messenger of Allah! Abu Sufyan is a man who loves to show off.' So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent a crier to proclaim in Makkah, 'Whoever closes his door, he is safe. And whoever throws down his weapon, he is safe. And whoever enters the house of Abu Sufyan, he is safe.' Then the Messenger sent Abbas along with him until they both sat on the top of At-Taniyyah hill. Bani Sulaym approached and Abbas asked, 'O Messenger of Allah! Who are these people?' He said, 'These are Bani Sulaym.' Abbas asked, 'And what am I and Salim?' Then Ali bin Abi Talib and the Muhajirun approached, and Abbas asked, 'O Messenger of Allah! Who are these people?' He said, 'This is Ali bin Abi Talib among the Muhajirun.' Then the Messenger of Allah approached the Ansar and asked, 'O Abbas! Who are these people?' He said, 'These are the red deaths. This is the Messenger of Allah among the Ansar.' Abu Sufyan said to him, 'Indeed, you have seen the kingdom of Kisra and Caesar, but I have never seen a kingdom like the kingdom of your nephew.' Abbas said to him, 'Indeed, this is Prophethood.'

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ observed Itikaf in the last ten days of the month of Ramadan in a dome made of palm leaves.
[Machine] That Al-Hasan or Al-Husain were in the Prophet's room. He said, "I heard his urine splashing, so I went towards him. He said, 'Leave my son until he finishes urinating and do not disturb him until he finishes urinating.' Then I followed the water."
[Machine] That Hasan or Hussein were in the Prophet's room. He said, "Excuse me," so I saw his urine spurting and I went towards him. He said, "Leave my son until he finishes urinating and do not startle him until he finishes urinating." Then I followed the water.
[Machine] We were with the Prophet ﷺ when Al-Hasan came running and climbed onto his chest. The Prophet ﷺ kissed him and then called for some water and poured it over him.
13.156 [Machine] Qais bin Muslim Al-Jadali, from the narration of Ibn Abi Layla.
[Machine] He informed him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ distributed the spoils of war and gave each group of ten of his companions a sheep, and that it was booty. He said, "The Prophet ﷺ ordered the pots to be prepared that day, and it was the day of Khaybar."
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during a prayer that was not obligatory. He passed by mentioning the Hellfire and said, "I seek refuge in Allah from the Hellfire. Woe to the people of the Hellfire." And the wording is from the Hadith of Uthman ibn Abi Shaybah.
[Machine] Abu Layla, a man came to the Prophet ﷺ and asked him about domestic animals. He said, "If you see them in your homes, say to them we remind you of the covenant of Allah that Noah and Solomon took upon you, not to harm us. But if they return, then kill them."
13.157 [Machine] What Muhammad bin Al-Munkadir narrated from Safinah
[Machine] That the ship of the master of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I boarded the sea and my ship in which I was in broke. Then I boarded a plank from its planks, and the plank threw me into a whirlpool where there were lions. So one of the lions approached me, and I said, 'O Abu Al-Harith, I am the servant of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ .' He nodded his head and came towards me, pushing me with his shoulder until he took me out of the whirlpool and placed me on the road. He showed concern and I thought that he was bidding me farewell. That was the last time I saw him."
[Machine] On the authority of Burayh ibn Umar ibn Sufaynah, the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , from his father, from his grandfather, who said: I had a self-inflicted wound, so I sought treatment. He (the physician) said, "Take this blood and bury it away from animals, birds, and people." So I went away, drank it, and then I mentioned that to him, so he laughed. And the wording is specifically from Ahmad ibn Saleh.
13.158 [Machine] Abu Rayhana Abdullah bin Matar, from Safina
The Messenger of Allah used to perform ablution with a Mudd (of water) and bath with a Sa'. (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 269)
[Machine] "I will inform you of my name, I am called the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . I said, 'Why were you named Safina?' He replied, 'He (meaning Allah) brought out their belongings and it became heavy for them. He said, 'Spread your cloak.' So I spread it out and he placed their belongings in it. Then, he made me carry it and said, 'You are nothing but a ship.' I said, 'If I were to carry on that day the load of a camel or two camels, or five ausuq (a measure of weight), it would not be heavy for me.'"
[Machine] We were with the Messenger of Allah during a journey, and whenever a person became tired, they would throw their sword and shield upon me until I carried a lot. Then the Prophet ﷺ said, "You are a ship."
[Machine] I was with the Messenger of Allah in a journey, and everyone who had a heavy load from his companions, he placed it on me until I carried a lot from that. Then the Prophet ﷺ passed by me and said, "You are nothing but a ship."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, "The caliphate will be among my nation for thirty years, then there will be kingship after that." Then he said to me, "Hold on to the ship." So I held on to the caliphate of Abu Bakr, the caliphate of Umar, the caliphate of Uthman, and the caliphate of Ali, may Allah be pleased with them. And I found it to be thirty years.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The caliphate after me in my nation will be for thirty years, then (it will become) a kingdom."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The caliphate of prophethood will last for thirty years, then Allah will give it to whomever He wills, or He will give His kingdom to whomever He wills." Sa'id said, "Abu Bakr held it for two years, and 'Umar held it for ten years, and 'Uthman held it for twelve years, and 'Ali held it for six years."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ addressed us and said, "There was no prophet before me except that he warned his people about the Dajjal (the Antichrist). He is one-eyed, and his left eye is blind and covered with a thick film. Written between his eyes is 'disbeliever.' He will emerge with two valleys, one of them being paradise and the other being fire. But his paradise is actually fire, and his fire is actually paradise. With him, there are two angels who resemble two prophets from among the prophets, one on his right and the other on his left. This is the greatest test for people. He will say, 'Am I not your Lord who gives life and death?' One of the two angels will respond, 'You have lied.' No one will hear their conversation except for the person who is with him, and that person will say to him (Dajjal), 'You have spoken the truth.' Then the people will believe that the Dajjal is the truthful one. This is a great trial. He will continue, moving until he reaches Madinah, but will not be able to enter it. He will say, 'This is a city that has expelled that man (referring to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ).' Then he will move on, until he reaches Sham (Syria), where Allah ﷻ will destroy him at the mountain pass of 'Afiq."
[Machine] A man invited Ali and prepared food for him. Fatima said, "If only the Prophet ﷺ was invited, he would have eaten with us." So, a man was sent to the Prophet ﷺ and he came. He grabbed hold of the door handle and saw a flask on the side of the house, so he returned and Fatima asked Ali to follow him and see what made him come back. Ali followed him and asked, "Why did you return, O Messenger of Allah?" The Prophet ﷺ said, "It is not fitting for me to enter a decorated house."

Safinah said: I was a slave of Umm Salamah, and she said: I shall emancipate you, but I stipulate that you must serve the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as long as you live. I said: Even if you do not make a stipulation, I shall not leave the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. She then emancipated me and made the stipulation with me. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3932)

[Machine] We were the Banu Muqarrin, seven in number, during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . We had a servant who was the only one we had. One of us hit her, so the Prophet ﷺ said, "Free her." We were staying in the house of Suwaid b. Muqarrin. There was among us an old man who was hot-tempered. He had a slave-girl with him. He gave a slap on her face. I never saw Suwaid more angry than on that day. He said: there is no alternative for you except to free her. I was the seventh child in order of Muqarrin and we had only a female servant. The youngest of us gave a slap on her face. The prophet (May peace be upon him) commanded us to set her free. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 5166)
[Machine] "You slapped her face. I saw myself as the seventh of seven. We have nothing except a servant. So a man slapped her. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then ordered us to set him free."
[Machine] "That the picture is forbidden. I saw myself as the seventh of seven brothers during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . We had no one but a servant, so one of us slapped him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded us to set him free."

"I was sitting with Suwaid bin Muqarrin, and he said: The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: "Whoever is killed defending himself against injustice, he is a martyr." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4096)
[Machine] "We went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to Khaybar until we reached a place called Sahba' between it and Khaybar. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ called the people with their provisions, but all that was brought was sawiq (a type of barley). So, he distributed it to the people and we ate from it. Then he got up, rinsed his mouth, and performed the Dhuhr and Asr prayers."
In the year of the conquest of Khaibar I went with Messenger of Allah ﷺ till we reached Sahba, a place near Khaibar, where Messenger of Allah ﷺ offered the ʿAsr prayer and asked for food. Nothing but saweeq was brought. He ordered it to be moistened with water. He and all of us ate it and the Prophet ﷺ got up for the evening prayer (Maghrib prayer), rinsed his mouth with water and we did the same, and he then prayed without repeating the ablution. (Using translation from Bukhārī 209)

[Machine] "We went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the year of Khaibar. When we reached Sahba, we prayed Asr (afternoon prayer). The Prophet ﷺ called for the provisions of the people, so they brought some food and drinks, and they ate and drank. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up for Maghrib (evening prayer) and rinsed his mouth, and the people also rinsed their mouth. They prayed and did not go beyond that."

[Machine] Sueid bin Nu'man, who was one of the companions of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , narrated that they went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to the area of Khaybar. He said, "When we reached Sahba, which was a part of Khaybar, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ called for food, but nothing except Sawiq (a kind of barley porridge) was found. So we ate it and drank water with it. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ rinsed his mouth with water and stood up to pray."

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ went out to Khaibar and stayed in a place nearby called As-Sahba. He called his companions with what remained of their provisions, but they only brought him a handful of food. He mixed it all together, ate, rinsed his mouth, then got up and prayed Maghrib without performing ablution.

[Machine] I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about the sheep? He said, "It belongs to you, or to your brother, or to the wolf." I asked him about the camel? He used to show his anger by the redness of his cheeks and said, "What is it to you and to it? It has its water container and its shoes, it draws water and yields milk. Leave it alone until it meets its Lord."
