[Machine] We were with the Prophet (PBUH) during a battle, and we became extremely thirsty. So, we complained about that to the Prophet (PBUH), and he said, "Do you have any water left in the container?" So, a man came to him with a container of water, and the Prophet (PBUH) dug a hole in the ground and placed a saucer on it. He then placed his hand on the ground and said to the owner of the water container, "Pour the water onto my hand and mention the name of Allah." He did so, and Abu Laila said, "I saw the water gushing out from between the fingers of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) until all the people drank from it."

The Muslims started coming to him, concealing their swords, until they brought him to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. The Messenger said to him, 'Woe to you, O Abu Sufyan! I have brought you worldly and hereafter, so become a Muslim and you will be safe.' Abbas was his friend, so he said to him, 'O Messenger of Allah! Abu Sufyan is a man who loves to show off.' So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent a crier to proclaim in Makkah, 'Whoever closes his door, he is safe. And whoever throws down his weapon, he is safe. And whoever enters the house of Abu Sufyan, he is safe.' Then the Messenger sent Abbas along with him until they both sat on the top of At-Taniyyah hill. Bani Sulaym approached and Abbas asked, 'O Messenger of Allah! Who are these people?' He said, 'These are Bani Sulaym.' Abbas asked, 'And what am I and Salim?' Then Ali bin Abi Talib and the Muhajirun approached, and Abbas asked, 'O Messenger of Allah! Who are these people?' He said, 'This is Ali bin Abi Talib among the Muhajirun.' Then the Messenger of Allah approached the Ansar and asked, 'O Abbas! Who are these people?' He said, 'These are the red deaths. This is the Messenger of Allah among the Ansar.' [Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ addressed us and said, "There was no prophet before me except that he warned his people about the Dajjal (the Antichrist). He is one-eyed, and his left eye is blind and covered with a thick film. Written between his eyes is 'disbeliever.' He will emerge with two valleys, one of them being paradise and the other being fire. But his paradise is actually fire, and his fire is actually paradise. With him, there are two angels who resemble two prophets from among the prophets, one on his right and the other on his left. This is the greatest test for people. He will say, 'Am I not your Lord who gives life and death?' One of the two angels will respond, 'You have lied.' No one will hear their conversation except for the person who is with him, and that person will say to him (Dajjal), 'You have spoken the truth.' Then the people will believe that the Dajjal is the truthful one. This is a great trial. He will continue, moving until he reaches Madinah, but will not be able to enter it. He will say, 'This is a city that has expelled that man (referring to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ).' Then he will move on, until he reaches Sham (Syria), where Allah ﷻ will destroy him at the mountain pass of 'Afiq."

In the year of the conquest of Khaibar I went with Messenger of Allah ﷺ till we reached Sahba, a place near Khaibar, where Messenger of Allah ﷺ offered the ʿAsr prayer and asked for food. Nothing but saweeq was brought. He ordered it to be moistened with water. He and all of us ate it and the Prophet ﷺ got up for the evening prayer (Maghrib prayer), rinsed his mouth with water and we did the same, and he then prayed without repeating the ablution. We went out intending (to visit) the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and Wa'il ibn Hujr was with us. His enemy caught him. The people desisted from swearing an oath, but I took an oath that he was my brother.
