[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed both Hajj and Umrah together, and I heard him say, "The Umrah is included in the Hajj until the Day of Resurrection."

tabarani:6603Aḥmad b. Zuhayr al-Tustarī > ʿUbaydullāh b. Saʿd from my uncle from my father > Ṣāliḥ b. Kaysān > Ibn Shihāb > ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. Mālik b. Juʿshum al-Mudlijī from his father > Surāqah b. Mālik

[Machine] He informed him that when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ left Makkah to migrate to Madinah, the Quraysh offered anyone who brought him back a hundred camels. While I was sitting in a gathering, a man approached and said, "By Allah, I have seen three riders passing by very near to me. I believe one of them is Muhammad ﷺ." I gestured to him to be quiet and told him that they were the sons of so-and-so, who had lost their camels. I sat there for a while, then got up and entered my house. I ordered my horse to be tied in the belly of the valley and took out my weapons from behind my room. Then, I put on my armor and came out wearing them for my people to see. Then, I took out my weapons and invoked a curse on the arrow I least wanted to harm. I hoped to recover a hundred camels, so I followed Muhammad ﷺ riding my horse. While my horse was stumbling, I fell off it. I took out my weapons and invoked a curse on the arrow I disliked to harm. However, I had no choice but to follow him. I rode my horse, but when I appeared before them, my horse stumbled again and its hands went into the ground. I fell off it and I saw a cloud of smoke resembling a stick. I knew that I was prevented from them and that it was divine intervention. I called out to them and said, "Look at me, by Allah, I will not harm you and I will not bring you anything you dislike." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "What do you want?" I said, "Write a document for me that will be a sign between you and me." He said, "Write to him, 'O Abu Bakr.'" He then wrote a document for me and handed it to me. I returned and kept silent, not mentioning anything that had happened until Allah ﷻ opened-up Makkah to His Messenger ﷺ and he finished the Battle of Hunayn. I went to meet the Messenger of Allah ﷺ carrying the document that he had written for me. While I was on my way to meet him, I passed through a group of Ansari soldiers, who began attacking me with their spears and saying, "To you! To you!" Until I came close to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was on his camel. I asked him to look at his camel's leg, which was wounded as if from a stab. I raised my hands with the document and said, "O Messenger of Allah, this is your document." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "This is a day of fulfillment and righteousness." So, I embraced Islam and gave him a charity from my wealth.

[Machine] I heard my father saying that Surahqa bin Malik bin Ju'shum came from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ taught us this and that." A man said, mocking, "Did he teach you how to defecate?" Surahqa said, "Yes, I swear by the One who sent him with the truth, he commanded us to rely on our left hand and support ourselves with our right hand."

[Machine] About Ibn Shihab, "Regarding the naming of those who were martyred with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the day of Khaybar, from the Ansar and then from Bani Al-Ajlan, it was Murrah bin Suraqah bin Hubab." This is what Ibn Shihab said.

[Machine] We accompanied the Prophet ﷺ and arrived in Mecca in the month of Dhul-Hijjah. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered us to perform Umrah, so we performed the entire rites of Umrah. We circumambulated the Kaaba and walked between Safa and Marwa. Then, on the Day of Tarwiyah, he ordered us to change our intention to perform Hajj. Some of us said to each other, "We left our homes and traveled until there were only four of us left when we reached Mina. And yet, our testicles are still dripping semen?" When the Prophet ﷺ heard about this, he said, "Do you accuse me, while I am the trustworthy person of the heavens and the earth? If I had initiated something, it would have been done." He did not mention the story of Suraqah.

[Machine] He informed him that he heard a thief saying, "The disbelieving messengers of the Quraysh came to us, demanding that we pay a ransom for killing or capturing the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and Abu Bakr. While I was sitting in a gathering of my people from the tribe of Banu Mudlij, a man from among them came and stood in front of us. He said, 'O Surahqa, I have seen a group of black camels on the coast, and I believe it is Muhammad and his companions.' Surahqa said, 'I knew that it was them, so I said that it wasn't them, but it was so-and-so and so-and-so, a gang of bandits who had fled.' Then, I didn't stay in the gathering for more than an hour before I got up, entered my house, and told my slave girl to bring out my horse, which was being kept behind a hill. I took my spear and went out of the house, planting the spear in the ground. I lowered the spear until I reached my horse, mounted it, and approached them slowly. When I got closer to them, I heard the recitation of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , who was not turning back, while Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) kept looking back. My horse stumbled, and I got off it. I went towards my camel to take out my arrows, and I swore by them, 'Will they harm me or not?' The one I hated the most not to harm me came out, so I mounted my horse again, raised my arrows, and approached them until, when I approached them, I heard the recitation of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . He did not turn back, but Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) moved his hands and my horse sank into the ground until its knees were visible. I got off it, scolded it, and it got up, but its hands were still stuck. When it finally stood up, I saw two shining spots from its tracks in the sky like smoke. Ma'mar said, 'I asked Abu 'Amr ibn al-'Ala', 'What are the shining spots?' He remained silent for a while and then said, 'That is smoke without fire.' Ma'mar said that az-Zuhri said about his statement, 'So I swore by my arrows, and the one I hated the most not to harm me came out. I called them with the guarantee, so they stood still. I mounted my horse until I reached them, and I had it in my mind, when I met them, what I had in mind when I met them after they escaped from me.' I said to him, 'Your people have put a ransom on you, and I informed them about their journey and what people want from them, and I offered them supplies and provisions, but they did not agree to anything and only asked me to keep their presence a secret.' So, I asked him to write me a security document that I could trust. He ordered 'Amir bin Fuhayra to write the document for me on a piece of leather, and then he left."

[Machine] He informed him that when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ left Mecca as a migrant to Medina, the Quraysh tribe made a reward of one hundred camels for whoever returned him. He said, "While I was sitting in my tribe's assembly, a man from us came and said, 'By Allah, I saw three individuals pass by hurriedly, and I think one of them is Muhammad.' I gestured to him to be silent and said, 'They are from the Banu Fulan, following some stray camels.' He said, 'Perhaps.' Then he fell silent. I stayed for a while and then got up and ordered my horse to be tied to the bottom of the valley. I removed my weapon from behind my room and put on my armor. Then I took my spear, which I use for oaths, and wore it. I called my people and said, 'The one I dislike has come out, but it will not harm him.' I hoped to capture him and take the one hundred camels. I rode on their trail, but as my horse picked up its pace, it stumbled and I fell off. I took out my spear and made an oath. The arrow that I dislike came out, so I was determined to follow him. I mounted my horse and when the people appeared before me, my horse stumbled again and his hands fell to the ground. I fell and he picked up his hands, which emitted smoke, like ashes. I realized that he had been prevented from me and that he was apparent. I called to them and said, 'Look at me, and by Allah, I do not suspect you or dislike anything in you.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Tell me, what do you seek?' I said, 'Write for me a document between me and you, as a sign.' He said, 'Write, O Abu Bakr.' So he wrote it for me and handed it to me. I returned and remained silent, not mentioning anything that happened until Allah granted victory to His Messenger in Mecca and after the conquest of Hunayn. I went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with the document he wrote for me. While I was going towards him, I passed by a group of Ansar soldiers. They shook their spears and said, 'To you, to you!' When I approached the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on his camel, I looked at his legs tied to the saddle, and it seemed as if they were burning. I pushed my hand forward with the document and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, this is your document.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'On a day of fulfillment and good deeds, approach.'" So I converted.

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ had only one muezzin who would call the adhan for him. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would sit on the pulpit on Fridays, he would give the call to prayer at the entrance of the mosque. Then, when he descended, he would establish the prayer. This was the case with Abu Bakr, and then with Umar, until when Uthman came, the number of people increased. So he ordered the first call to be made in the market on his own property, which is known as al-Zawra. The adhan would be called there for him. Then when Uthman sat on the pulpit, his first muezzin would give the call to prayer. And then, when he descended, he would establish the prayer.
