[Machine] "He used to participate in business with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ before Islam. On the day of the conquest, he came to him and said, 'Welcome, my brother and partner, who does not deceive or betray, O Sa'ib, you used to do deeds in the Pre-Islamic era that were not accepted from you, but today they are accepted from you.' And he had a good relationship."  

الطبراني:٦٦١٨ – حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرُ الضَّبِّيُّ ثنا سَهْلُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ ثنا وُهَيْبٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ خَيْثَمٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنِ السَّائِبِ بْنِ أَبِي السَّائِبِ

أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُشَارِكُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَبْلَ الْإِسْلَامِ فِي التِّجَارَةِ فَلَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُ الْفَتْحِ أَتَاهُ فَقَالَ «مَرْحَبًا بِأَخِي وَشَرِيكِي لَا يُدَارِي وَلَا يُمَارِي يَا سَائِبُ قَدْ كُنْتَ تَعْمَلُ أَعْمَالًا فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ لَا تُتَقَبَّلُ مِنْكَ وَهِيَ الْيَوْمَ تُتَقَبَّلُ مِنْكَ» وَكَانَ ذَا سَلَفٍ وَصِلَةٍ

السيوطي:٣٤٣-١b –

" عَنْ مُجاهِدٍ، عَنِ السَّائِبِ أَنَّهُ كانَ يُشارِكُ النَّبِىَّ ﷺ قَبْلَ الإِسْلَامِ فِى التِّجارَةِ، فَلَمَّا كانَ يَوْمُ الْفَتْحِ أَتَاهُ فَقالَ: مَرْحَبًا بِأَخِى وَشَرِيكِى، كانَ لَا يُدَارِى وَلَا يُمارِى، يَا سَائِبُ: قَدْ كُنْتَ تَعْمَلُ أَعْمَالًا فِى الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ لَا تُقَبَّلُ مِنْكَ، وَهِىَ اليَوْمَ تُتَقَبَّلُ مِنْكَ، وَكانَ ذا سَلف وَصِلَةٍ".
