Until he reached the statement in the verse: "A reward for what they used to do."
بَيْنَا نَحْنُ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ يَصِفُ الْجَنَّةَ حَتَّى انْتَهَى إِلَيْهَا ثُمَّ قَالَ «فِيهَا مَا لَا عَيْنٌ رَأَتْ وَلَا أُذُنٌ سَمِعَتْ وَلَا عَلَى قَلْبِ بَشَرٍ خَطَرَ» ثُمَّ اقْتَرَأَ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ {تَتَجَافَى جُنُوبُهُمْ عَنِ الْمَضَاجِعِ يَدْعُونَ رَبَّهُمْ خَوْفًا وَطَمَعًا وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ يُنْفِقُونَ} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ {جَزَاءً بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ}

[Machine] Shall I not tell you a hadith I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ? So I said, "Yes." He said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'Whoever is waiting in the mosque for prayer, he is in prayer.'"

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out to us while we were reciting the Qur'an to each other. He said, "Praise be to Allah, there is one book among you, which is the red and the black. Recite the Qur'an, recite the Qur'an, recite it before there come people who establish it like an arrow, and they do not go beyond their limits, seeking its reward hastily and not delaying it."
I never saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ raising his hands and praying on the pulpit or otherwise. But I saw him saying (doing) this way, and he would point with his forefinger making a circle by joining the middle finger with his thumb. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1105)
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ one day came out to us while we were reciting the Qur’an. He said: Praise be to Allah. The Book of Allah is one, and among you are the red, and among you are the white and among you are the black. Recite it before there appear people who will recite it and straighten it as an arrow is straightened. They will get their reward for it in this world and will not get it in the Hereafter. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 831)
[Machine] Two men disagreed about the covenant of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the mosque that was established on righteousness. One of them said it is the mosque of Madinah, and the other said it is the mosque of Quba. So they came to the Prophet ﷺ and he said, "This is my mosque."
[Machine] "If I were to give you water from the well of Buza'ah, you would dislike it, and by Allah, I have seen the Messenger of Allah ﷺ drink from it with my own hand."
[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever has a connection in the city, let him hold onto it. And whoever does not have a connection in the city, let him establish one. For there will come a time when the one who does not have a connection will be like a stranger passing through it to another place."
[Machine] While we were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and Suhaib ibn Bayda' was riding with him, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Suhaib ibn Bayda'a!" And he raised his voice two or three times, all of which Suhaib answered. So the people heard the voice of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . They knew that he wanted them, so whoever was in front of him sat down and whoever was behind him followed him until they gathered. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever bears witness that there is no god but Allah, Allah has made Paradise obligatory for him."
[Machine] About Ibn Shihab, he said, "Regarding the naming of the one who witnessed the Battle of Badr from the Ansar and then from the Banu Najjar, it was Suhayl ibn Rafi' ibn Abi Amr. He had a mosque near the Messenger of Allah ﷺ called Mirbad."
[Machine] I heard al-Hasan saying, "The nobles of Quraysh gathered at the door of 'Umar. Among them were al-Harith bin Hisham, Abu Sufyan bin Harb, Suhail bin Amr, and those slaves and servants who were companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . His permission was granted, and he gave permission to Bilal, Suhaib, and others like them, while leaving the others. Abu Sufyan said, 'I have never seen a day like this when permission is given to these slaves and we are left sitting at his door, not given permission.' Suhail bin Amr, who was a wise man, said, 'O people, by Allah, I see what is in your faces. If you are angry, then be angry with yourselves. The people were called and you were called, so hurry up and you were slow. Or, by Allah, when you rushed ahead of others in virtue, you will suffer a greater loss than if you had missed something from your own door that you competed for.'" Al-Hasan said, "Allah does not make a servant more eager to approach Him than a servant who is slower in doing so."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said: "Whoever says, 'O Allah, indeed I bear witness that You are Allah, there is no deity except You, You alone, there is no partner for You, and I bear witness that Muhammad is Your servant and messenger,' Allah will free a third of him from the Fire. And whoever says it twice, Allah will free two-thirds of him from the Fire. And whoever says it three times, Allah will free him completely from the Fire."
[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, every prophet has a successor, so who is your successor?" He remained silent about it. Then, after some time, he saw me and said, "O Salman!" I hurried towards him and said, "Here I am, at your service!" He asked, "Do you know who is the successor of Musa?" I replied, "Yes, it is Yusha bin Nun." He said, "Why?" I said, "Because he was the most knowledgeable among them." He then said, "Indeed, my successor and the one in charge of my secrets and the best one to carry on after me, and to fulfill my obligations and pay off my debts, is Ali ibn Abi Talib." Abu Al-Qasim said, "His statement 'successor' means that he appointed him as a guardian for his family, not in terms of the caliphate. And his statement 'the best one to carry on after me' means from his household." ﷺ

[Machine] I entered upon Salman and saw his house in a state of disrepair. I asked him about that, and he said, "Verily, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had advised me that your provision in this world should be like that of a traveler."
[Machine] He said, "I was a man from the people of Jeyy in the city of Isfahan. While I was contemplating the truth of the heavens and the earth, Allah inspired me in my heart. So, I went to a man who did not speak to people often. I asked him, 'Which religion is the best?' He responded, 'What is your concern with this matter? Do you want a religion other than your father's?' I said, 'No, but I want to know who is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and which religion is the best.' He said, 'I do not know anyone on this except for a monk who is in Mosul.' So, I went to him and stayed with him for three years. He used to fast during the day and pray at night, and I worshiped as he did. Then, he passed away, and I said to him, 'Who should I go to?' He said, 'I do not know anyone on the earth who follows what I follow except for a hermit behind the island. Go to him and give him my greetings.' So, I went to him and greeted him and informed him that the monk had passed away. I stayed with him for three years, and then he also passed away. I said to him, 'Who should I go to?' He said, 'I do not know anyone on the earth who follows what I follow except for a great sheikh in Ammuriyyah. I do not know if he is still alive or not.' So, I went to him, and when I reached him, I found him in a wide state. When death approached him, I asked him, 'Where should I go?' He said, 'I do not know anyone on the earth who follows what I follow, but if you encounter a time when you hear of a man coming out of the house of Ibrahim ﷺ and you have the opportunity to be with him, then do so, for he is on the right path. Its sign is that his people say he is a magician, insane,

[Machine] I set off when I arrived at the cities, and behold, there was a man dressed in elegant clothing, and he had a red turban wrapped around his head. He turned and looked at me, then motioned with his hand, indicating for me to come to him. So I got up and said to those who were with me, "Who is this man?" They said, "This is Salman." He entered his house and then came out wearing white clothes. He approached me, took my hand, shook it, and asked me, "Abdullah, did you recognize me? Did you not see me before or recognize me?" I said, "Yes, indeed, by the one in whose hand is my soul, I recognized your soul when I saw you. Aren't you Al-Harith bin 'Amir?" I said, "Yes." He said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Souls are like recruited soldiers. Those who are familiar with each other unite, while those who are opposites, differ.'"

[Machine] I was walking with Salman along the banks of the Tigris River, and he said, "O brother from the tribe of Abs, sit down and drink." So I drank, and then he said, "Drink again." So I drank again. He said, "Has your thirst been quenched from the Tigris?" I said, "Perhaps it has not been quenched." He said, "Indeed, knowledge is like that, it is taken from it and does not decrease." Then he said, "Ride on." And we passed by heaps of wheat and barley. He said, "Do you see this? It is a treasure for us and a calamity for the people of Muhammad ﷺ ." I said, "I do not know." He said, "But I know that it is a calamity for us and a blessing for them. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ never had his fill for three consecutive days before he met Allah."

[Machine] The first of this Ummah to embrace Islam was Ali ibn Abi Talib.
[Machine] Salman said, "This was revealed concerning the Prophet of Allah ﷺ: 'That is because among them are priests and monks.'"
سَلْمَانُ «نَزَلَتْ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ» {ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّ مِنْهُمْ قِسِّيسِينَ ورُهْبانًا}
