[Machine] Have you seen a man who found another man with his wife, and if he killed him, would you kill him? So ask the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. So Asim asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, but the Messenger of Allah ﷺ disliked the matter and criticized it. So Asim informed 'Uwaymir, who said, "By Allah, I will go to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ." So he came and the Qur'an had been revealed, and he asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The Qur'an has been revealed regarding you two." So they both came forward and cursed each other. Then he said, "I lied about her. If I had held her, I would have divorced her, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not order her separation. It is a Sunnah in the case of cursing each other." And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Look at her. If she comes to you with short red hair, as if she were a wild donkey, then I do not think she is anything but a liar. But if she comes to you with dark eyes and long eyelashes, then I do not think she is anything but truthful." So she came with the undesirable description.

So he went and came back and said, "No, by Allah, I have not found anything, not even an iron ring, but this is my Izaar (waist wrapper) for her. Half of it is for her." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "What will you do with your Izaar? If you cover yourself with it, there will be nothing for her from it, and if you let her wear it, there will be nothing for you from it." So the man sat down until his sitting became long. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw him or he was sent for, and he asked him, "What portion of the Qur'an do you have?" He said, "I have such and such Surahs." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "I have married her to you for what you have of the Qur'an."

There was a man who fought most bravely of all the Muslims on behalf of the Muslims in a battle (Ghazwa) in the company of the Prophet. The Prophet ﷺ looked at him and said. "If anyone would like to see a man from the people of the Fire, let him look at this (brave man)." On that, a man from the People (Muslims) followed him, and he was in that state i.e., fighting fiercely against the pagans till he was wounded, and then he hastened to end his life by placing his sword between his breasts (and pressed it with great force) till it came out between his shoulders. Then the man (who was watching that person) went quickly to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "I testify that you are Messenger of Allah ﷺ!" The Prophet ﷺ asked him, "Why do you say that?" He said, "You said about so-and-so, 'If anyone would like to see a man from the people of the Fire, he should look at him.' He fought most bravely of all of us on behalf of the Muslims and I knew that he would not die as a Muslim (Martyr). So when he got wounded, he hastened to die and committed suicide." There-upon the Prophet ﷺ said, "A man may do the deeds of the people of the Fire while in fact he is one of the people of Paradise, and he may do the deeds of the people of Paradise while in fact he belongs to the people of Fire, and verily, (the rewards of) the deeds are decided by the last actions (deeds)". Sahl bin Saʿd said that a woman brought a Burda (sheet) to the Prophet. Sahl asked the people, "Do you know what is a Burda?" The people replied, "It is a 'Shamla', a sheet with a fringe." That woman said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! I have brought it so that you may wear it." So the Prophet ﷺ took it because he was in need of it and wore it. A man among his companions, seeing him wearing it, said, "O Allah's Apostle! Please give it to me to wear." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Yes." (and gave him that sheet). When the Prophet left, the man was blamed by his companions who said, "It was not nice on your part to ask the Prophet for it while you know that he took it because he was in need of it, and you also know that he (the Prophet) never turns down anybody's request that he might be asked for." That man said, "I just wanted to have its blessings as the Prophet ﷺ had put it on, so l hoped that I might be shrouded in it." (Using translation from Bukhārī 6036)

An Arab woman was mentioned before Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He commanded Abu Usaid to send a message to her and he (accordingly) sent a message to her. She came and stayed in the fortresses of Banu Sa'idah. Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out until he came to her while she was (at that time) sitting with her head downcast. When Messenger of Allah ﷺ talked to her, she said: I seek refuge with Allah from you. Thereupon he said: I (have decided to) keep you away from me. They (the people near her) said: Do you know who he is? She said: No. They said: He is the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He came to you in order to give you the proposal of marriage. She said: Then I am the most unfortunate woman because of this (i. e. my defiance). Sahl said: Allah's. Messenger ﷺ then set forth on that day until he sat in the Saqifa of Banu Sa'idah along with his Companions. He then said to Sahl: Serve us drink. He (Sahl) said: I brought out for them this bowl (containing drink) and served them this. Abu Hazim said: Sahl brought out this cup for us and we also drank from that. Then 'Umar b. 'Abd al-'Aziz asked him to give that (cup) as a gift to him and he gave (it to) him as a gift. In the narration of Abu Bakr b. Ishaq (the words) are:" Sahl, serve us drink."
13.57 [Machine] Sulaiman ibn Bilal narrates from Abu Hazim
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah (may ﷺ ) said: "Verily, the pulpit is upon a piece of Paradise."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There will be earthquakes, throwing and disfigurement at the end of time." It was said, "When will that be, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "When musical instruments and female singers appear, and wine is made lawful."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever wishes to adorn his child with two bracelets made of fire, let him adorn him with a bracelet of gold. But as for silver and silverware, use it as you wish."
13.58 [Machine] Abdul Rahman ibn Zaid ibn Aslam from Abu Hazim
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said: "At Allah, there are treasuries of good and evil, and the keys to these treasuries are men. So, blessed is he who makes himself a key to good and a lock to evil, and woe to him who makes himself a key to evil and a lock to good."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Uhud is one of the pillars of Paradise."
[Machine] I heard Sahl ibn Saad say, "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ standing on his pulpit and praying for the people while he was on the pulpit. Then he made the takbeer while on it, then he performed the rukoo, then he returned to the lowest part of the pulpit and prostrated. Then he returned and did the same until he finished his prayer. then he faced the people and said, 'O people, I did this so that you can follow me and learn my prayer.'"
[Machine] I heard Sahl bin Sa'd say, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was brought a cup, so he drank from it, and the elders were on his left, and a young boy, who was the youngest of the people, was on his right. When he drank, he said, 'O boy, may I give the elders?' He replied, 'I do not prefer my share over your favor, O Messenger of Allah,' so he gave it to him."
[Machine] "There was a conflict among the Ansar, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to them to reconcile between them, and then he returned while the prayer had already been established and Abu Bakr was leading the people in prayer, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed behind Abu Bakr."
[Machine] I saw Sahl ibn Saad, the companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , urinating while standing near the elder sheikh. He almost preceded him (in finishing urinating), then he performed ablution and wiped over his socks. So I said to him, "Don't you remove them?" He said, "No, I have seen someone better than me wipe over them."
I would certainly give this standard to a person at whose hand Allah would grant victory and who loves Allah and His Messenger and Allah and His Messenger love him also. The people spent the night thinking as to whom it would be given. When it was morning the people hastened to Messenger of Allah ﷺ all of them hoping that that would be given to him. He (the Holy Prophet) said: Where is 'Ali b. Abu Talib? They said: Messenger of Allah, his eyes are sore. He then sent for him and he was brought and Messenger of Allah ﷺ applied saliva to his eyes and invoked blessings and he was all right, as if he had no ailment at all, and conferred upon him the standard. 'Ali said: Messenger of Allah, I will fight them until they are like us. Thereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: Advance cautiously until you reach their open places, thereafter invite them to Islam and inform them what is obligatory for them from the rights of Allah, for, by Allah, if Allah guides aright even one person through you that is better for you than to possess the most valuable of the camels. (Using translation from Muslim 2406)

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, in Paradise, there is a gate called Ar-Rayan. On the Day of Resurrection, it will be said, 'Where are the fasting ones?' So those who fasted will enter it and no one else will enter it, and when the last person among them enters, it will be closed and no one else will enter except for them."
[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ brought a man who was elderly and had gray hair with visible veins. He committed adultery with a woman, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ struck him with a stalk of broom that had a hundred small branches with a single strike."
13.60 [Machine] Abu Bakr ibn Abi Sabra, from Abu Hazim
[Machine] I witnessed a goat when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered it to be stoned. It wandered off and people followed it, stoning it, until Umar met it in the garbage dump and struck it with the jawbone of a camel, killing it.
[Machine] And it was becoming difficult for him to almost not be able to control that. He then called for water and performed ablution and wiped over his socks. I said, "Why don't you take off your socks?" He said, "I saw someone better than me do that."
[Machine] He said, "On the day of Uhud, when the disbelievers turned away from the Messenger of Allah and his companions, the women came out to the Messenger of Allah and his companions seeking assistance. Among those who came out was Fatimah bint Muhammad. When she met the Messenger of Allah, she embraced him and started washing his wounds with water, causing the bleeding to increase. When she saw that, she took something from a mat and burned it with fire, then she applied it to the wound, causing the bleeding to stop."
