[Machine] A young man came and stood in front of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said loudly, "O Messenger of Allah, do you think that someone who has not abandoned any evil deed except that he has done it, and has not committed any sin except that he has followed through with it, and there is no arrow higher than him except that he has been struck by it with his right hand, and if his sins were distributed among the people of Madinah, they would overwhelm them?" The Prophet ﷺ said, "Have you embraced Islam?" He replied, "As for me, I testify that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Then go, for Allah has replaced your sins with good deeds." The young man said, "O Messenger of Allah, even my betrayals and sins?" The Prophet ﷺ said, "Even your betrayals and sins." Then the young man turned away while continuously saying "Allahu Akbar" and I kept hearing him say it until he disappeared from my sight or I could no longer hear him.

[Machine] "Fleeing from the pagans, Ayyash ibn Abi Rabia, Salamah ibn Hisham, and Walid ibn al-Mughirah sought refuge with the Prophet ﷺ. Ayyash and Salamah were riding a camel together, while Walid was leading them. Then, the finger of Walid spoke and said..."

"We went out with the Messenger of Allah on the campaign of Tabuk, and there was a friend of ours with us, who fought with a man from among the Muslims. The man bit him on the forearm, so he pulled it away from his mouth and a tooth fell out. The man came to the Prophet, seeking blood money, but his brother and bite him like a stallion bites, then come and demand blood money? There is no blood money for that." And the Messenger of Allah juddgedit to be invalid. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4765)
[Machine] He and a group from his family and children went to visit the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , so they sought his permission and entered. He asked, "Who are these?" It was said to him, "This is the delegation of Anzah." He said, "Welcome, welcome, welcome! Indeed, Anzah has the best of supporters. Welcome, O people of Shu'aib and the sisters of Musa. Ask, O Salamah, about what you need." He said, "I have come to ask you about what you have obligated upon me regarding camels, sheep, and goats." He informed him and then sat near him. Then he sought his permission to leave, and he said to him, "You may leave." The next morning, when he got up, he said, "O Allah, provide Anzah with enough, without extravagance."

[Machine] Salama bin Salama bin Waqsh, a companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , narrated that they entered a gathering and Salama was in a state of minor ritual impurity (had not performed ablution). They ate and then left. Salama then performed ablution. Jabirah asked him, "Were you not already in a state of ablution?" Salama replied, "Yes, but I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and we were invited to a gathering, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was in a state of ablution. He ate, then performed ablution again. So I asked him, 'Were you not already in a state of ablution, O Messenger of Allah?' He said, 'Yes, but sometimes situations change, and this is one of those situations that have changed.'"
[Machine] "He made his wife swear that she will fast until the end of Ramadan. She gained weight and sat on a raised platform. During the middle of Ramadan, he fell on her. The Prophet came to him as if he admired that and said to him, 'Can you free a slave?' He said, 'No.' He said, 'Can you fast for two consecutive months?' He said, 'No.' He said, 'Can you feed sixty poor people?' He said, 'No.' So the Prophet said, 'O Thawban bin 'Amr, give him that difference.' He had a heap of dates and took fifteen sa' from it. So he should give it to sixty poor people.' He said, 'Is there anyone more destitute than me?' By the One Who has sent you with the truth, there are people who have a house but are more in need of it than us.' So the Messenger of Allah laughed and said, 'Take it to your family.'"

[Machine] And he (referring to someone) came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and mentioned that to him, so he (the Messenger of Allah) said to him, "Free a slave." He said, "I don't have the means to do so." He (the Messenger of Allah) said, "Can you fast for two consecutive months?" He said, "No." He (the Messenger of Allah) said, "Then feed sixty poor people." He said, "I can't find that." So he (the Messenger of Allah) said to Furwah bin Amr, who used to dry dates under the supervision of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , "Give him that bag." It contained fifteen sa' of dates. He (the Messenger of Allah) said, "Go and feed sixty poor people."

[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave him a sack containing fifteen saa of grain and said, "Feed sixty poor people, giving each poor person a mudd."
[Machine] Salman bin Sakhr al-Bayadi made a vow to his wife that he would not approach her until Ramadan was over. When half of Ramadan passed, she gained weight and became attractive to him. So, he covered her at night, and then he went to the Prophet ﷺ and asked him about this. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Free a slave." Salman replied that he couldn't afford it. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Fast for two consecutive months." Salman said that he was unable to do so. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Feed sixty poor people." Salman replied that he couldn't find that many. Then, someone brought the Prophet ﷺ a container containing fifteen or sixteen saa' of dates and the Prophet ﷺ said, "Take it and give it in charity to sixty poor people."

"I was a man who had a lot of desire for women, and I do not think there was any man who had as great a share of that as me. When Ramadan began, I declared Zihar upon my wife (to last) until Ramadan ended. While she was talking to me one night, part of her body became uncovered. I jumped on her and had intercourse with her. The next morning I went to my people and told them, and said to them: 'Ask the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for me.' They said: 'We will not do that, lest Allah reveal Quran concerning us or the Messenger of Allah ﷺ says, something about us, and it will be a lasting source of disgrace for us. Rather we will leave you to deal with it yourself. Go yourself and tell the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about your problem.' So I went out and when I came to him, I told him what happened. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Did you really do that?' I said: 'I really did that, and here I am, O Messenger of Allah. ﷺ I will bear Allah’s ruling on me with patience.' He said: 'Free a slave.' I said: 'By the One Who sent you with the truth, I do not own anything but myself.' He said: 'Fast for two consecutive months.' I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, the thing that happened to me was only because of fasting.' He said: 'Then give charity, or feed sixty poor persons.' I said: 'By the One Who sent you with the truttu we spent last night with no dinner.' He said: 'Then go to the collector of charity of Banu Zuraiq, and tell him to give you something, then feed sixty poor persons, and benefit from the rest.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2062)

[Machine] A man from the companions of the Prophet ﷺ used to continuously travel and engage in battles. His wife sent a servant girl with him, who would wash his head, serve him, and take care of his belongings. However, the man's travel became lengthy and he fell into temptation with the servant girl. When the affair was discovered and the girl informed her mistress, the wife became extremely jealous and angry. She went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and informed him about what had happened. He said to her, "If he forced her (to commit the act), then she is free and he must free a slave like her. But if he did it willingly, then she belongs to him and he must pay her the equivalent of her value." He did not establish any punishment in this matter.

They would say, 'He is a man who claims to be a prophet and that Allah has sent him, and that Allah has revealed to him such and such.' I would not hear anything except that I would memorize it as if it were being engraved on my heart with glue. Until I gathered a lot of Qur'an from him. The Arabs would criticize Islam, saying, 'Look, if victory comes to him, then he is truthful and he is a prophet.' So when the Battle of Fath (conquest) came to us, every tribe rushed to embrace Islam. My father also became a Muslim. So he stayed with the Prophet ﷺ whatever Allah willed. Then he came to us, and when we saw him, he said, 'I have come to you, I swear by Allah, from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with the truth.' Then he said, 'He orders you to do such and such and prohibits you from doing such and such, and that you should pray such and such prayer at such and such time. So when the prayer time comes, one of you should give the call to prayer and lead you in prayer, the one with the most Qur'an among you.' So they looked at our people and found no one who had more Qur'an than me, so they brought me forward and I would lead them in prayer, even though I was only six years old.' He said, 'So I would wear a cloak, and when I prostrated, it would shrink from me.' He said, 'A woman from the neighborhood said, 'Shouldn't we cover you from the gaze of your readers?' So she gave me a shirt made of fine Bahraini fabric. I have never been happier with anything more than I was with that shirt.'"

The one of you who knows most of the Qur’an should act as your imam. I knew the Qur’an better than most of them because I had memorized it. They, therefore, put me in front of them, and I would lead them in prayer. I wore a small yellow mantle which, when I prostrated myself, went up on me, and a woman of the clan said: Cover the back side of your leader from us. So they bought an ‘Ammani shirt for me, and I have never been so pleased about anything after embracing Islam as I was about that (shirt). I used to lead them in prayer and I was only seven or eight year old. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 585)

[Machine] We were by a great body of water on the side of the road, and travelers would come to us, so we would ask them, "What does this man say?" They would mean the Prophet Mohammed, ﷺ , and they would say, "He says so and so, and he commands them to do this, and he forbids you from doing that." I was a boy of six years old, and I did not hear anything except as if it were written in my heart. And the people would say, "Look at what the people of this man do." So when Mecca was conquered, the people sent their delegations to the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ . And my father was one of the delegations of his people. So he came to them and said, "I come to you from the Messenger of Allah, who commands you to do this and forbids you from doing that. And when the prayer is due, let the one with the most Quran among you lead the prayer." So they looked and did not find anyone with more Quran than me, so they made me lead and I prayed with them. I had a cloak or a shawl. An old woman said, "Don't you cover your reciters?" So I bought a garment from Bahrain and a woman from the neighborhood made it into a shirt for me. I have never been so happy with anything after Islam as I was with that shirt.

[Machine] A group of people from the neighborhood came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and heard him saying, "Let the one among you who knows the most Quran lead you." They brought me forward while I was still a young boy, and I used to lead them in a patched garment that had a slit in it. Whenever I would prostrate, my belly would show, so they said to my father, "Do you not cover him up for us?". And I would encourage them to learn the Quran. Zuhayr said, "He continued to be the imam of his people in prayer and in their funerals."
[Machine] That his father and some people from his tribe came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when the people embraced Islam and learned the Quran and fulfilled their needs. Then they asked the Prophet ﷺ , "Who will lead us in prayer?" He said, "The one among you who has the most knowledge of the Quran." So they returned to their people and asked, but they could not find anyone who had gathered more knowledge than me, even though I was a young boy under their care. So they brought me forward and I led the prayer for them, and I have been their imam ever since. He used to lead them in their mosque and pray over their funerals.

[Machine] I was a young boy and I used to receive passengers from the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , then I would recite to them. They would inform me that the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, "Let the one among you who knows the most Quran lead you in prayer." So, I used to lead them.
[Machine] While we were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , a questioner asked him, "Were you brought food from the sky?" He replied, "Yes, I was brought food that was heated." The questioner then asked, "O Prophet of Allah, was there any special favor in it for you?" He replied, "Yes." The questioner asked, "What was done with it?" He replied, "It was lifted up to the sky while I was receiving revelation that I will not stay among you for long, but you will remain for a little while after me. Then you will eagerly ask, 'When? When?' Then calamities will befall you, and before that many earthquakes will occur."
[Machine] I was sitting with the Prophet ﷺ when he said, "It is revealed to me that I will be taken away soon and that you will follow me, breaking the necks of some of you. There will continue to be people from my Ummah (nation) who fight for the truth, through whom Allah will cause the hearts of some people to be inclined (towards disbelief), and Allah will provide for them (the believers) through them, until the Day of Judgment comes and the promise of Allah is fulfilled."
[Machine] I was sitting with the Prophet ﷺ when he said, "It has been revealed to me that I will be taken [by death] soon and that you will follow me in large numbers. Some of you will strike the necks of others, and there will always be people from my Ummah who fight for the truth, and Allah causes the hearts of some people to stray because of them. Allah will continue to provide them with provision until the Hour is established and the promise of Allah comes."
[Machine] I approached the Messenger of Allah ﷺ until my knees touched his, and I said, "O Messenger of Allah, the horses were left behind and weapons were put down, and some people claim that there is no more fighting." He said, "They are lying. Now, fighting will continue. There will always be a group from my Ummah (nation) that remains steadfast upon the truth, prevailing over people. Allah will cause the hearts of a people who fight against them to be weakened, so they can be defeated and looted." And he said, while pointing towards Yemen with his hand, "Indeed, I can sense the fragrance of Ar-Rahman (the Most Merciful) from here, and surely Allah has inspired to me a closed door, not to be opened, and you will follow me as offspring."
[Machine] I approached the Messenger of Allah ﷺ until my knees touched his knees, and I sat beside him. I said, "O Messenger of Allah, the horses were left, and the weapons were thrown and some people claim that there will be no fighting." He said, "They lied! Now, the fighting has come. There will always be a group from my Ummah (nation) standing for the truth, manifest upon the people. Allah will cause the hearts of a group of people to deviate for the sake of those with whom they fight, so that they may be killed by them." He also said while he was facing towards Yemen, "Indeed, I find the breath of the Most Merciful from this direction. And it has been revealed to me that disobedience is preferred to me and you follow my footsteps."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The heartland of Islam is being attacked in Syria."
[Machine] While I was sitting with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , a man came to him and said, "O Messenger of Allah, the horses have been stolen and weapons have been put down, and some people claim that there is no fighting and that war has laid down its burdens. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "They have lied. Fighting has now come, and a group from my Ummah will continue to fight for the sake of Allah. They are not harmed by those who oppose them, causing Allah to turn the hearts of a people against themselves. They will continue to fight until the Hour is established, and horses will continue to be harnessed. Goodness will remain in the foreheads of horses until the Hour is established, and war will not lay down its burdens until Ya'juj and Ma'juj [Gog and Magog] are released."
