Abu Shuraih said, "When ʿAmr bin Saʿid was sending the troops to Mecca (to fight ʿAbdullah bin Az- Zubair) I said to him, 'O chief! Allow me to tell you what the Prophet ﷺ said on the day following the conquests of Mecca. My ears heard and my heart comprehended, and I saw him with my own eyes, when he said it. He glorified and praised Allah and then said, "Allah and not the people has made Mecca a sanctuary. So anybody who has belief in Allah and the Last Day (i.e. a Muslim) should neither shed blood in it nor cut down its trees. If anybody argues that fighting is allowed in Mecca as Messenger of Allah ﷺ did fight (in Mecca), tell him that Allah gave permission to His Apostle, but He did not give it to you. The Prophet ﷺ added: Allah allowed me only for a few hours on that day (of the conquest) and today (now) its sanctity is the same (valid) as it was before. So it is incumbent upon those who are present to convey it (this information) to those who are absent." Abu- Shuraih was asked, "What did ʿAmr reply?" He said ʿAmr said, "O Abu Shuraih! I know better than you (in this respect). Mecca does not give protection to one who disobeys (Allah) or runs after committing murder, or theft (and takes refuge in Mecca).
There was a blind man during the time of the Messenger of Allah [SAW] who had an Umm Walad by whom he had two sons. She used to slander and defame the Messenger of Allah [SAW] a great deal, and he would rebuke her, but she would not pay heed, and he would forbid her to do that, but she ignored him. (The blind man said) One night I mentioned the Prophet [SAW], and she slandered him. I could not bear it so I went and got a dagger which I thrust into her stomach and leaned upon it, and killed her. In the morning she was found slain. Mention of that was made to the Prophet [SAW] and he gathered the people and said: "I adjure by Allah; a man over whom I have the right, that he should obey me, and he did what he did, to stand up." The blind man started to tremble and said: "O Messenger of Allah [SAW], I am the one who killed her. She was my Umm Walad and she was kind and gentle toward me, and I have two sons like pearls from her, but she used to slander and defame you a great deal. I forbade her, but she did not stop, and I rebuked her, but she did not pay heed. Finally, I mentioned your name and she slandered you, so I went and got a dagger which I thrust into her stomach, and leaned on it until I killed her. The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: "I bear witness that her blood is permissible." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4070)

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Allah, I have made a covenant with You that You will not break. Indeed, I am only a human, so if I ever harm or insult a believer, or beat them, or curse them, then make it for them a means of prayer, purification, and nearness [to You] on the Day of Judgment." This is the wording of the Hadith of As-Sulami.

So I said, "O Messenger of Allah, for whomsoever you pray for good, he will receive good, and these two deserve good from you." He said, "Do you not know what I have promised my Lord?" I said, "No, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "I have said: O Allah, whoever I have harmed or cursed, make it a means of forgiveness and blessings for him."

39.42 [Machine] He used to sleep without performing ablution
One night I slept at the house of (my aunt) Maimuna and the Prophet ﷺ was there on that night. He performed ablution and stood up for the prayer. I joined him and stood on his left side but he drew me to his right and prayed thirteen rakʿat and then slept till I heard his breath sounds. And whenever he slept, he used to breathe with audible sounds. The Mu'adh-dhin came to the Prophet ﷺ and he went out and prayed the morning prayer) without repeating the ablution. How did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pray during Ramadhan ? She said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not pray more than eleven rak'ahs during Ramadhan and other than Ramadhan. He would pray four rak'ahs. Do not ask about their elegance and length. He then would pray for rak'ahs. Do not ask about their alegance and length. Then he would pray three rak'ahs. I heard Anas bin Malik telling us about the night when the Prophet ﷺ was made to travel from the Kaʿba Mosque. Three persons (i.e. angels) came to the Prophet ﷺ before he was divinely inspired was an Aspostle), while he was sleeping in Al Masjid-ul-Haram. The first (of the three angels) said, "Which of them is he?" The second said, "He is the best of them." That was all that happened then, and he did not see them till they came at another night and he perceived their presence with his heart, for the eyes of the Prophet ﷺ were closed when he was asleep, but his heart was not asleep (not unconscious). This is characteristic of all the prophets: Their eyes sleep but their hearts do not sleep. Then Gabriel took charge of the Prophet ﷺ and ascended along with him to the Heaven. (Using translation from Bukhārī 3570)

It has been narrated to me that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said : The Prayer of a man in sitting condition is half the prayer (wins him half the reward of prayer). I came to him and found him prayer in sitting condition. I placed my hand on my head (in surprise). He said: what is the matter,’Abd Allah b. ‘Amr? I said; Messenger of Allah ﷺ you have been reported to me as saying : the prayer of a man in sitting condition is half the prayer , but you are praying in sitting condition. He said: yes, but I am not like one of you. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 950)

I replied, "Harb." He said, "No, he is Muhsin." Then the Prophet ﷺ said, "Indeed, I have named my sons with the names of the sons of Harun, their names are Shabbar and Mushabbir." This is a saying of Yunus and in another narration of Israel.

[Machine] When the Prophet ﷺ stoned the Jamarat and had performed the sacrifice of his Hadi, he called the barber and asked him to shave his right side. The barber shaved it and gave the hair to Abu Talhah. Then he shaved his left side and handed the hair to Abu Talhah and ordered him to distribute it among the people.
[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , when he shaved his hair on the day of sacrifice, the people dispersed and took his hair. Abu Talhah took a portion of it. Ibn Seereen said, "To have a single hair of his with me is more beloved to me than the whole world and what is in it."
[Machine] I have seen the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while the barber was shaving his head, and his companions were surrounding him. They did not want a single hair to fall except into the hands of a man.

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah said, "Whoever is invited and does not respond has disobeyed Allah and His Messenger. And whoever enters without being invited enters as a thief and leaves as a plunderer. It is mentioned in the case of a man entering upon another person, knowing that he is going to eat with him. And a hadith has been narrated refuting the misconception that Abu al-Abbas had regarding the Prophet's food in the story of Abu al-Darda."
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out from the valley of a mountain where he had eased himself. There were some dried dates on a shield before us. We called him and he ate with us. He did not touch water. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3762)
[Machine] Jaber narrated that they used to eat dates on a mat. He said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by us after coming back from relieving himself. So we said, 'Come, sit with us.' He sat down and ate dates with us without touching water." Abu Sa'id As-Sairafi informed us that Yahya ibn Mansur Al-Qadi narrated, who informed us that Muhammad ibn Ibrahim Al-Bushanjy narrated, who informed us that Sa'id ibn Hafs narrated, who informed us that Musa ibn A'yan narrated from Amr ibn Al-Harith, who mentioned it.

[Machine] I entered upon the Prophet ﷺ while he was suffering from an illness. I touched him and said, "O Messenger of Allah, indeed you are suffering from a severe illness." He said, "Indeed, I do suffer from illness, just as two of you suffer." I said, "Is it because you will receive two rewards?" He said, "Yes, by the One in whose hand is my soul, there is no Muslim on the earth who is afflicted with any harm or illness except that Allah removes his sins as leaves fall from a tree."

[Machine] Abdullah al-Hafiz and his father informed Abu al-Abbas al-Mahbubi, who narrated that Sa'id bin Mas'ud narrated from al-Nadr bin Shumail, who informed Shu'bah from Sa'd bin Ibrahim, who said: "I heard Urwah bin Zubair say that Aisha said, 'We used to hear that a Prophet does not die until he is given the choice between this world and the hereafter.' Aisha said, 'And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said in his illness in which he died, "With those whom Allah has blessed among the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous - and excellent are those as companions." (Quran 4:69) Aisha said, 'So I assumed that he was given the choice between this world and the hereafter."

[Machine] A man from the companions of the Prophet ﷺ said, "If the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had died, I would have married Aishah or Umm Salamah." Then Allah revealed, "And it is not for you to cause hurt to the Messenger of Allah, nor that you should ever marry his wives after him. Indeed, that would be a great sin in the sight of Allah" (Quran 33:53). Sulaiman said, "I have not heard Sufyan narrating it except with the addition of two mahr (dowry)."

[Machine] Umair bin Al-Khattab passed by a young boy who was reading in the Quran, "The Prophet is more worthy of the believers than themselves, and his wives are their mothers" (Surah Al-Ahzab, verse 6). Umair asked the boy what he was reading, and he replied, "This is my father's copy of the Quran." Umair went to his father and asked him about it. His father said, "The Quran used to occupy me, and it has occupied you with the marketplace transactions."
