[Machine] Allah (may ﷺ ) told her about the waiting period: If you agree with the divorce from your husband, then wait for the completion of your 'Iddah (waiting period). She said, "When I completed my 'Iddah, I informed him (the Prophet) that Mu'awiyah and Abu Jahm proposed to marry me." The Messenger of Allah (may ﷺ ) said, "Regarding Mu'awiyah, he is a man of little wealth, and as for Abu Jahm, he does not put his stick down from his shoulder (i.e. he beats women). So marry Usamah." She said, "I disliked him, but the Prophet said to me, 'Marry Usamah,' so I married him. Allah blessed him for me, and I was jealous of him."  

اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَهَا فِي عِدَّتِهَا مِنْ طَلَاقِ زَوْجِهَا إِذَا حَلَلْتِ فَآذِنِينِي قَالَتْ فَلَمَّا حَلَلْتُ أَخْبَرْتُهُ أَنَّ مُعَاوِيَةَ وَأَبَا جَهْمٍ ؓ خَطَبَانِي فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَمَّا مُعَاوِيَةُ فَصُعْلُوكٌ لَا مَالَ لَهُ وَأَمَّا أَبُو جَهْمٍ فَلَا يَضَعُ عَصَاهُ عَنْ عَاتِقِهِ انْكِحِي أُسَامَةَ قَالَتْ فَكَرِهْتُهُ فَقَالَ انْكِحِي أُسَامَةَ فَنَكَحْتُهُ فَجَعَلَ اللهُ فِيهِ خَيْرًا وَاغْتَبَطْتُ بِهِ  

[Machine] About the divorced woman, does she have an allowance? So the Hadith was mentioned in the story of her divorce until she said, "When my waiting period ended, Abu Al-Jahm, a man from the Quraysh, and Muawiyah bin Abu Sufyan proposed to me. So I went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and informed him about that. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "As for Abu Al-Jahm, he is a man who is harsh on women, and as for Muawiyah, he is a man who has no wealth." She said, "Then, Osama bin Zaid proposed to me, so I married him. May Allah bless me in Osama."  

عَنِ الْمُطَلَّقَةِ ثَلَاثًا هَلْ لَهَا نَفَقَةٌ؟ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ فِي قِصَّةِ طَلَاقِهَا إِلَى أَنْ قَالَتْ فَلَمَّا انْقَضَتْ عِدَّتِي خَطَبَنِي أَبُو الْجَهْمِ رَجُلٌ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ وَمُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ فَأَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لَهُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَمَّا أَبُو الْجَهْمِ فَهُوَ رَجُلٌ شَدِيدٌ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ وَأَمَّا مُعَاوِيَةُ فَرَجُلٌ لَا مَالَ لَهُ قَالَتْ ثُمَّ خَطَبَنِي تَعْنِي عَلَى أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ فَتَزَوَّجْتُهُ فَبَارَكَ اللهُ لِي فِي أُسَامَةَ
