"When the Messenger of Allah would lie down, he would place his right hand under his right cheek, and he used to fast on Mondays and Thursday." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2367)

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to teach us words to say before sleeping out of fear, "In the name of Allah, I seek refuge in the complete words of Allah from His anger and punishment, from the evil of His slaves, from the whispers of the devils, and that they come near."
[Machine] Khalid ibn al-Walid ibn al-Mughirah was a man who would experience fear in his sleep. He mentioned this to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and the Prophet ﷺ said to him, "When you lie down to sleep, say, 'In the name of Allah, I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from His anger, punishment, the evil of His slaves, and from the whispers of the devils and that they come close.'" So he said it, and that fear went away from him.

when the prophet (May peace be upon him) lay down on his bed (at night), he would say: O Allah! In Thy name I die and live. When he awoke, he said: praise be to Allah who has given us life after causing us to die and to whom we shall be resurrected. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 5049)
Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O so-and-so, whenever you go to your bed (for sleeping) say, 'O Allah! I have surrendered myself over to you and have turned my face towards You, and leave all my affairs to You and depend on You and put my trust in You expecting Your reward and fearing Your punishment. There is neither fleeing from You nor refuge but with You. I believe in the Book (Qur'an) which You have revealed and in Your Prophet (Muhammad) whom You have sent.' If you then die on that night, then you will die as a Muslim, and if you wake alive in the morning then you will receive the reward." I believe in whatever You have revealed in the Book and in whatever You have sent with Your Messenger." And he added: "There is no escape or refuge from You except to You. I believe in Your Book that You have revealed and in Your Messenger that You have sent."

That the Prophet ﷺ advised a man, saying, "If you intend to lie down (i.e. go to bed), say, 'Allahumma aslamtu nafsi ilaika wa fauwadtu ʿAmri ilaika, wa wajjahtu wajhi ilaika wa alja'tu zahri ilaika, reghbatan wa rahbatan ilaika. I believe in Your Book which You revealed, and in Your Messenger whom You sent." Layth (narrator) contradicted them and told us that Ziyad ibn Yahya informed us that Al-Mu'tamir ibn Sulayman said, "I heard Layth mentioning from Abu Ishaq from Hilal ibn Yasaf from Al-Bara' ibn 'Azib who said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'When you go to bed' similar to it.
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Whoever performs ablution and does it perfectly, the sins will depart from his hearing, his sight, his hands, and his feet." Abu Dhabyah Al-Himsi said, "I heard Amr ibn Abasah narrating this from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, and I also heard him saying that he heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Whoever goes to sleep while being in a state of purity and remembers Allah, he will not be awake for an hour of the night without Allah granting him whatever he asks of worldly or hereafter matters." [298] Shammir ibn Atiyah opposed them.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no Muslim who spends the night in a state of purity and remembers Allah, then prays during the night, asking Allah for the good of this world and the Hereafter, except that Allah will grant it to him." 10577 It was narrated to us by Muhammad ibn Hisham, he said: It was narrated to us by Al-Fadl, meaning the son of Al-'Ala', he said: It was narrated to us by Fitr from Shamir ibn 'Atiyyah from Shahr, he said: It was narrated to us by Abu Dhubiyyah, I heard Amr ibn Abasah narrate something similar to it.
53.268 [Machine] The reward of whoever says before sleeping: There is no god but Allah alone, He has no partner, His is the dominion and to Him belongs all praise, and He is Able to do all things, there is no power or strength except in Allah.
[Machine] In his sleep, Abu Abdullah said that there is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. To Him belongs the sovereignty and to Him belongs all praise. And He is capable of all things. There is no power or strength except through Allah. Glory be to Allah, and praise be to Him. There is no god but Allah, and Allah is the greatest. His sins will be forgiven, even if they were as numerous as the foam of the sea. This statement was narrated by Shu'bah in his sleep.
53.269 [Machine] The Reward of the One Who Seeks refuge in His Bed and Reads a Surah from the Book of Allah When Taking Rest
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no Muslim servant who retires to his bed and recites a chapter from the Book of Allah when he lies down, except that Allah assigns an angel to protect him who will not leave him until he wakes up or goes to sleep."
53.270 [Machine] Al-Tasbeeh, al-Tahmeed, and al-Takbeer at bedtime.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, "Much goodness for the one who knows it, little [but] follows it after every obligatory prayer: ten takbirs, ten tasbeehs, and ten tahmeeds. That is one hundred and fifty [recitations] on the tongue, and one thousand and five hundred [recitations] in the scale. When he lays on his side, he glorifies Allah thirty-three times, praises Allah thirty-three times, and magnifies Allah thirty-four times. That is one hundred [recitations] on the tongue, and one thousand [recitations] in the scale. So which of you does actions equal to two thousand and five hundred bad deeds in the day and night?"
[Machine] Fatimah, the daughter of the Prophet, came to the Prophet to ask him to provide her with a servant. The Prophet asked her, "Shall I not direct you to what is better for you than that?" She asked, "What is it?" He replied, "You should say SubhanAllah (Glory be to Allah) thirty-three times, and say Alhamdulillah (Praise be to Allah) thirty-three times, and say Allahu Akbar (Allah is the Greatest) thirty-four times before going to sleep." Sufyan said, "I do not know which of the thirty-four is is." Ali said, "I have not left it since I heard it from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ." It was asked, "Not even on the night of Saffayn?" He said, "Not even on the night of Saffayn."
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to us one night and put his foot between me and Fatimah, and he taught us what to say when we went to bed. Thirty-three tasbeehah, thirty-three tahmeedah and thirty-four takbeerah. ʿAli ؓ said: I never omitted it after that. A man said to him: Not even on the night of Siffeen? said: Not even on the night of Siffeen. (Using translation from Aḥmad 1229)
53.271 [Machine] The reward of that.
[Machine] A group of captives arrived before the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, so Ali said to Fatimah, "Go to your father and ask him to give you a servant to help with the work." So she went to her father after sunset, and he asked her, "What is the matter, my daughter?" She replied, "Nothing, I have come to greet you and feel shy to ask you for anything." When the night came, Ali said to her, "Go to your father and ask him to give you a servant to help with the work." So she went to her father again, and he asked her, "What is the matter, my daughter?" She replied, "Nothing, my father, I have come to see how you are doing and feel shy to ask you anything." On the third night, Ali said to her, "Come, let's go to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ." They both went until they reached the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, who asked them, "What has brought you here?" Ali replied, "O Messenger of Allah, we have been burdened with work and wanted you to give us a servant to help with the work." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Shall I not guide you to something better for both of you than red camels?" Ali said, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah, peace be upon you." He said, "Recite takbeer 100 times, and tasbeeh 100 times, and tahmeed 100 times before you sleep, and you will spend the night with one thousand rewards and the like when you wake up." Ali said, "I have not missed it since I heard it from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, except for the night of Siffeen, for I forgot it until I remembered it at the end of the night."

53.272 [Machine] Whoever goes to bed without mentioning Allah the Almighty
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever goes to bed without mentioning the name of Allah, it is a liability upon him." This is a shortened version.
[Machine] From the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever lies down without mentioning Allah, he will bear the consequences from Allah." It is a condensed saying.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There are two things that are easy; whoever does them in small amounts, and whoever preserves them will enter Paradise." We asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what are they?" He said, "One of you should glorify Allah ten times, praise Him ten times, and say Allahu Akbar ten times after completing his prayer. And when he wants to sleep, that is two hundred and fifty with the tongue, and two thousand five hundred in the scale. So which one of you works in his day and night two thousand five hundred bad deeds?" Abdullah said, "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ grasping it in his hand, and the common people stood up."
