When a person enters his house and mentions the name of Allah at the time of entering it and while eating the food, Satan says (addressing himself: You have no place to spend the night and no evening meal; but when he enters without mentioning the name of Allah, the Satan says: You have found a place to spend the night, and when he does not mention the name of Allah while eating food, he (the Satan) says: You have found a place to spend the night and evening meal. (Using translation from Muslim 2018a)  

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِذَا دَخَلَ الرَّجُلُ بَيْتَهُ فَذَكَرَ اللهَ عِنْدَ دُخُولِهِ وَعِنْدَ طَعَامِهِ قَالَ الشَّيْطَانُ لَا مَبِيتَ لَكُمْ وَلَا عَشَاءَ هَاهُنَا وَإِذَا دَخَلَ فَلَمْ يَذْكُرِ اللهَ قَالَ الشَّيْطَانُ أَدْرَكْتُمُ الْمَبِيتَ وَإنْ لَمْ يَذْكُرِ اللهَ عِنْدَ طَعَامِهِ قَالَ الشَّيْطَانُ أَدْرَكْتُمُ الْمَبِيتَ وَالْعَشَاءَ  

Teach me a du'aʿ that I may say in my prayer. He said: ʿSay: O Allah. I have wronged myself greatly and no one forgives sins except You, so grant me forgiveness from You and have mercy on me, for You are the Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.ʿ (Using translation from Aḥmad 28)  

يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ عَلِّمْنِي دُعَاءً أَدْعُو بِهِ فِي صَلَاتِي وَفِي بَيْتِي؟ قَالَ قُلِ اللهُمَّ إِنِّي ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي ظُلْمًا كَثِيرًا وَلَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ فَاغْفِرْ لِي مَغْفِرَةً مِنْ عِنْدِكَ وَارْحَمْنِي إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ
