Once I went (from Medina) towards (Al-Ghaba) before the first Adhan of the Fajr Prayer. The shecamels of Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to graze at a place called Dhi-Qarad. A slave of ʿAbdur-Rahman bin ʿAuf met me (on the way) and said, "The she-camels of Messenger of Allah ﷺ had been taken away by force." I asked, "Who had taken them?" He replied "(The people of) Ghatafan." I made three loud cries (to the people of Medina) saying, "O Sabahah!" I made the people between the two mountains of Medina hear me. Then I rushed onward and caught up with the robbers while they were watering the camels. I started throwing arrows at them as I was a good archer and I was saying, "I am the son of Al-Akwaʿ, and today will perish the wicked people." I kept on saying like that till I restored the shecamels (of the Prophet), I also snatched thirty Burda (i.e. garments) from them. Then the Prophet ﷺ and the other people came there, and I said, "O Allah's Prophet! I have stopped the people (of Ghatafan) from taking water and they are thirsty now. So send (some people) after them now." On that the Prophet said, "O the son of Al-Akwaʿ! You have over-powered them, so forgive them." Then we all came back and Messenger of Allah ﷺ seated me behind him on his she-camel till we entered Medina. (Using translation from Bukhārī 4194)

[Machine] About Kabisa ibn Muharib and Zuhair ibn Amr, they said: When the verse "And warn your closest kindred" [Surah Ash-Shuara: 214] was revealed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived at a rock from a mountain. He climbed on top of it and placed a stone. Then he said, "O sons of Abd Manaf, I am only a warner. My example and your example are like that of a man who saw the enemy and feared that they would attack his family. So he began shouting, 'O morning!'...(rest of the passage) [360] 10750. Muhammad ibn Abdul A'la narrated to us, Mu'tamir narrated to us from his father, Abu Uthman narrated to us from Zuhair ibn Amr, from Kabisa ibn Muharib who said: Allah Almighty revealed to the Prophet of Allah [Surah Ash-Shuara: 214]. Then he narrated to us from the Prophet of Allah ﷺ that he came to a rock from a mountain. He climbed on top of it and placed a stone. Then he said, 'O slave of Manaf, O morning! I am only a warner.' And he continued the narration and said at the end, or as he said [10751]. Ya'qub ibn Ibrahim narrated to us from Ibn Ulayyah, from Sulayman like him, and he said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to the rock of a mountain. He climbed on top of it and placed a stone. Then he said, 'O slave of Manaf, I am only a warner. My example and your example are like that of a man who saw the enemy and wanted to warn his family. He feared that the enemy would reach them before he does, so he shouted, 'O morning!'...

[Machine] When the verse "And warn your closest kindred" [Surah Ash-Shu'ara 214] was revealed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up on Mount Safa and said, "And early morning it is."

One day the Prophet ﷺ ascended Safa mountain and said, "Oh Sabah! " All the Quraish gathered round him and said, "What is the matter?" He said, Look, if I told you that an enemy is going to attack you in the morning or in the evening, would you not believe me?" They said, "Yes, we will believe you." He said, "I am a warner to you in face of a terrible punishment." On that Abu Lahab said, "May you perish ! Is it for this thing that you have gathered us?" So Allah revealed: 'Perish the hands of Abu Lahab!...' (111.1) (Using translation from Bukhārī 4801)
