[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ permitted the selling of spotted garments if the spots were less than five or five. Dawud said: "Did he say less than five or five?" He said: "Yes." 10666 And Ali ibn Ahmad ibn Abdan informed us, that Ahmad ibn Ubayd told us, that Ismail ibn Ishaq al-Qadi narrated to us from Abdullah, meaning al-Qa'nabi, from Malik, from Dawud ibn al-Husayn, who mentioned it in a similar way except that he said "permitted."  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ رَخَّصَ فِي بَيْعِ الْعَرَايَا بِخَرْصِهَا فِيمَا دُونَ خَمْسَةِ أَوْسُقٍ ؟ أَوْ خَمْسَةٍ شَكَّ دَاوُدُ قَالَ خَمْسَةٍ أَوْ دُونَ خَمْسَةٍ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ 10666 وَأَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدَانَ أنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْقَاضِي ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ يَعْنِي الْقَعْنَبِيَّ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ فَذَكَرَهُ بِمِثْلِهِ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ أَرْخَصَ  

[Machine] Did the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , permit the sale of goods with a discount of five or less of its original price? Malik said yes.  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ رَخَّصَ فِي بَيْعِ الْعَرَايَا بِخَرْصِهَا فِي خَمْسَةِ أَوْسُقٍ أَوْ دُونَ خَمْسَةِ أَوْسُقٍ؟ قَالَ مَالِكٌ نَعَمْ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited gambling and selling by chance, but he allowed the sale of defective merchandise at its appropriate value. Then he mentioned wasq, double wasq, three [units], and four [units].  

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْمُحَاقَلَةِ وَالْمُزَابَنَةِ وَأَذِنَ لِأَصْحَابِ الْعَرَايَا أَنْ يَبِيعُوهَا بِمِثْلِ خَرْصِهَا ثُمَّ قَالَ الْوَسْقَ وَالْوَسْقَيْنِ وَالثَّلَاثَةَ وَالْأَرْبَعَةَ
