“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was wounded on the Day of Uhud. His molar was broken and his helmet was crushed on his head. Fatimah was washing the blood from him and ‘Ali was pouring water on him from a shield. When Fatimah realized that the water was only making the bleeding worse, she took a piece of a mat and burnt it, and when it had turned to ashes, she applied it to the wound to stop the bleeding. (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3464)
[Machine] I participated in the conquest of Khaybar with the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ while I was a slave. He did not strike me with an arrow, but he gave me a sword. I imitated him by dragging the sole of his shoe on the ground, and he instructed me to take from the spoils of war.
[Machine] I used to give water to my companions on the day of Badr and in another narration, I used to provide them water.
58.26 [Machine] Who is not permissible for the Imam to attack with it under any circumstances
[Machine] Imam Al-Shafi'i, may Allah have mercy on him, said: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went on a battle, and some of his known hypocrites joined him. He distanced himself from them on the Day of Uhud by three hundred. The Sheikh, may Allah have mercy on him, said that this is clear in the battles."
[Machine] In it, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out with one thousand men from his companions until, when he arrived at the Shaut (a place) between the city and Uhud, Abdullah bin Abi the hypocrite descended from him with one-third of the people. He returned with those who followed him from his people, who were from the people of doubt and hypocrisy.
[Machine] Abdullah ibn Ubayy ibn Salul changed his mind about it three hundred times, while the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , stayed firm on it seven hundred times.
[Machine] So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ continued until he reached Uhud and returned from there, while Abdullah ibn Ubayy remained with three hundred men. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ remained with seven hundred men.
[Machine] When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out to Uhud, a group of people returned from the road, and among the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ there were two factions: one faction saying, "We should kill them," and another faction saying, "We should not kill them." So Allah revealed, "Then what is the matter with you [that you are] two groups concerning the hypocrites while Allah has made them fall back [into error and disbelief] for what they earned?" [Quran 4:88]
[Machine] When the hardship intensified upon the Prophet ﷺ and his companions, he mentioned this story similar to the statement of Musa ibn Uqbah, except that he said at the end, "And some men among them said, 'O people of Yathrib, you have no place here, so return.'" Al-Shafi'i said, "Then he waged war against Banu Mustaliq, and a number of them witnessed it with him. They spoke with what Allah narrated of their statement, 'If we return to Al-Madinah, the more honorable will expel the more humble from it.'" [Al-Munafiqoon 8] And other than that, from what Allah narrated of their hypocrisy.
[Machine] Abdullah ibn Ubayy said, "Do not spend on those who are with the Messenger of Allah until they disperse." He also said, "If we return to Medina, the more honorable will expel the lowly from it." I informed the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , about this, and I went to him. He said, "Verily, Allah has confirmed and excused you, and He has revealed the verse, 'They are the ones who say, 'Do not spend on those who are with the Messenger of Allah until they disperse''" (Quran 63:7).
[Machine] And Sufyan said another time, "We were in an army when a man from the Muhajirin struck a man from the Ansar. The Ansari said, 'Oh Ansar!' and the Muhajiri said, 'Oh Muhajireen!' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ heard this and said, 'What is this pre-Islamic cry?' They said, 'A man from the Muhajirin struck a man from the Ansar.' He said, 'Leave it, for it is a call of ignorance.' Abdullah ibn Ubayy heard this in the presence of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, 'They have done it! By Allah, if we return to Al-Madinah, the more honorable will expel the disgraced.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ heard of this and Umar stood and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, let me strike the neck of this hypocrite.' The Prophet ﷺ said, 'Leave him, for people will say that Muhammad is killing his companions.' The Ansar were more in number than the Muhajirin when they arrived in Al-Madinah, but then the Muhajirin increased in number."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ announced to the people that they should take the path of the valley because it is more spacious. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ had already taken the other path and was accompanied by Hudhayfah ibn Al-Yaman and Ammar ibn Yasir. He did not want anyone to compete with him on that path, but some hypocrites overheard, so they turned back. A group of hypocrites followed them and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sensed their presence. He told one of his companions to strike their faces. When they heard this and saw the man approaching them (who happened to be Hudhayfah ibn Al-Yaman), they all dispersed and the man struck their mounts. They said, "We are the companions of Ahmad," referring to the Prophet ﷺ , "and they are masked so that only their eyes can be seen." After the people had dispersed, the man went back to the Prophet ﷺ and asked, "Did you recognize the group?" He replied, "No, by Allah, O Messenger of Allah, but I recognized their mounts." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ left the path and asked his companions, "Do you know what those people wanted? They wanted to gather around me on the path and then throw me off it." They said, "Shall we order them to be killed when the people have gathered around you?" He said, "No, I dislike people saying that Muhammad has dipped his hand in the blood of his companions." And he mentioned the incident.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , returned in a convoy from Tabuk to Madinah until, while on part of the journey, some people from his companions plotted to throw him off a cliff on the road. Then the story was mentioned, with the meaning of Ibn Ishaq.
[Machine] There was a conversation between a man from Al-'Aqaba and Hudhayfah about some matters of the people. The man said, "I beseech you by Allah, how many were the companions of Al-'Aqaba?" The people said to him, "Inform him," so he said, "We were told that they were fourteen. But if you are among them, then the people were fifteen. And I bear witness by Allah that twelve of them fought for the sake of Allah and His Messenger in this worldly life, and they will give their testimonies on the Day of Resurrection. And there will be three who will make excuses, saying, 'We did not hear the caller of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , nor did we know what the people intended.' And he was in a state of ritual impurity (Junub), so he performed ablution and said, 'The water is scarce, so let no one get ahead of me to it.' But he found a group had already rushed to it, so he cursed them.
[Machine] Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prepared for battle, intending to go to Sham (Syria). He gave permission to the people to go out and commanded them to do so during the intense heat of the autumn nights. Many people hesitated, fearing the Romans. The people of Hisbah (a group responsible for enforcing Islamic law) went out, while the hypocrites lagged behind and told themselves that he (the Messenger of Allah) would never return. They discouraged those who obeyed them from joining him, and some men from the Muslims stayed behind due to legitimate excuses. The narrator mentioned the story and said that Jadd ibn Qays came to him while he was sitting in the mosque with a group of people. He said, "O Messenger of Allah, give me permission to stay behind, as I have debts and ailments which are valid excuses." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Prepare yourself, for you are capable. Perhaps you will help some of the daughters of Al-Asfar (a tribe)." He said, "O Messenger of Allah, give me permission but do not tempt me with the daughters of Al-Asfar." Then Allah revealed regarding him and his companions, "And among them is he who says, 'Grant me permission [to be exempted from the fighting] and put me not into trial.' Unquestionably, they have fallen into trial. And indeed, Hell surrounds the disbelievers." (Quran, 9:49) It consisted of ten consecutive verses. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out with the believers, and among those who stayed behind was Ibn Anamah or Anamah from the Banu Amr ibn Awf tribe. It was said to him, "What prevented you from joining the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ?" He said, "Idle talk and playing." Then Allah revealed regarding him and those who lagged behind from the hypocrites, "And if you ask them, they will surely say, 'We were only conversing and playing.' Say, 'Is it Allah and His verses and His Messenger that you were mocking?'" (Quran, 9:65) It consisted of three consecutive verses.
(the wife of the Prophet) "Whenever Messenger of Allah ﷺ intended to go on a journey, he would draw lots amongst his wives and would take with him the one upon whom the lot fell. During a Ghazwa of his, he drew lots amongst us and the lot fell upon me, and I proceeded with him after Allah had decreed the use of the veil by women. I was carried in a Howdah (on the camel) and dismounted while still in it. When Messenger of Allah ﷺ was through with his Ghazwa and returned home, and we approached the city of Medina, Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered us to proceed at night. When the order of setting off was given, I walked till I was past the army to answer the call of nature. After finishing I returned (to the camp) to depart (with the others) and suddenly realized that my necklace over my chest was missing. So, I returned to look for it and was delayed because of that. The people who used to carry me on the camel, came to my Howdah and put it on the back of the camel, thinking that I was in it, as, at that time, women were light in weight, and thin and lean, and did not use to eat much. So, those people did not feel the difference in the heaviness of the Howdah while lifting it, and they put it over the camel. At that time I was a young lady. They set the camel moving and proceeded on. I found my necklace after the army had gone, and came to their camp to find nobody. So, I went to the place where I used to stay, thinking that they would discover my absence and come back in my search. While in that state, I felt sleepy and slept. Safwan bin Mu'attal As-Sulami Adh-Dhakwani was behind the army and reached my abode in the morning. When he saw a sleeping person, he came to me, and he used to see me before veiling. So, I got up when I heard him saying, "Inna lil-lah-wa inn a ilaihi rajiun (We are for Allah, and we will return to Him)." He made his camel knell down. He got down from his camel, and put his leg on the front legs of the camel and then I rode and sat over it. Safwan set out walking, leading the camel by the rope till we reached the army who had halted to take rest at midday. Then whoever was meant for destruction, fell into destruction, (some people accused me falsely) and the leader of the false accusers was ʿAbdullah bin Ubai bin Salul. After that we returned to Medina, and I became ill for one month while the people were spreading the forged statements of the false accusers. I was feeling during my ailment as if I were not receiving the usual kindness from the Prophet ﷺ which I used to receive from him when I got sick. But he would come, greet and say, 'How is that (girl)?' I did not know anything of what was going on till I recovered from my ailment and went out with Um Mistah to the Manasi where we used to answer the call of nature, and we used not to go to answer the call of nature except from night to night and that was before we had lavatories near to our houses. And this habit of ours was similar to the habit of the old 'Arabs in the open country (or away from houses). So. I and Um Mistah bint Ruhm went out walking. Um Mistah stumbled because of her long dress and on that she said, 'Let Mistah be ruined.' I said, 'You are saying a bad word. Why are you abusing a man who took part in (the battle of) Badr?' She said, 'O Hanata (you there) didn't you hear what they said?' Then she told me the rumors of the false accusers. My sickness was aggravated, and when I returned home, Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to me, and after greeting he said, 'How is that (girl)?' I requested him to allow me to go to my parents. I wanted then to be sure of the news through them I Messenger of Allah ﷺ allowed me, and I went to my parents and asked my mother, 'What are the people talking about?' She said, 'O my daughter! Don't worry much about this matter. By Allah, never is there a charming woman loved by her husband who has other wives, but the women would forge false news about her.' I said, 'Glorified be Allah! Are the people really taking of this matter?' That night I kept on weeping and could not sleep till morning. In the morning Messenger of Allah ﷺ called ʿAli bin Abu Talib and Usama bin Zaid when he saw the Divine Inspiration delayed, to consul them about divorcing his wife (i.e. ʿAisha). Usama bin Zaid said what he knew of the good reputation of his wives and added, 'O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! Keep you wife, for, by Allah, we know nothing about her but good.' ʿAli bin Abu Talib said, 'O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! Allah has no imposed restrictions on you, and there are many women other than she, yet you may ask the woman-servant who will tell you the truth.' On that Messenger of Allah ﷺ called Barirah and said, 'O Barirah. Did you ever see anything which roused your suspicions about her?' Barirah said, 'No, by Allah Who has sent you with the Truth, I have never seen in her anything faulty except that she is a girl of immature age, who sometimes sleeps and leaves the dough for the goats to eat.' On that day Messenger of Allah ﷺ ascended the pulpit and requested that somebody support him in punishing ʿAbdullah bin Ubai bin Salul. Allah's Apostle said, 'Who will support me to punish that person (ʿAbdullah bin Ubai bin Salul) who has hurt me by slandering the reputation of my family? By Allah, I know nothing about my family but good, and they have accused a person about whom I know nothing except good, and he never entered my house except in my company.' Saʿd bin Muʿadh got up and said, 'O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! by Allah, I will relieve you from him. If that man is from the tribe of the Aus, then we will chop his head off, and if he is from our brothers, the Khazraj, then order us, and we will fulfill your order.' On that Saʿd bin 'Ubada, the chief of the Khazraj and before this incident, he had been a pious man, got up, motivated by his zeal for his tribe and said, 'By Allah, you have told a lie; you cannot kill him, and you will never be able to kill him.' On that Usaid bin Al-Hadir got up and said (to Saʿd bin 'Ubada), 'By Allah! you are a liar. By Allah, we will kill him; and you are a hypocrite, defending the hypocrites.' On this the two tribes of Aus and Khazraj got excited and were about to fight each other, while Messenger of Allah ﷺ was standing on the pulpit. He got down and quieted them till they became silent and he kept quiet. On that day I kept on weeping so much so that neither did my tears stop, nor could I sleep. In the morning my parents were with me and I had wept for two nights and a day, till I thought my liver would burst from weeping. While they were sitting with me and I was weeping, an Ansari woman asked my permission to enter, and I allowed her to come in. She sat down and started weeping with me. While we were in this state, Messenger of Allah ﷺ came and sat down and he had never sat with me since the day they forged the accusation. No revelation regarding my case came to him for a month. He recited Tashah-hud (i.e. None has the right to be worshipped but Allah and Muhammad is His Apostle) and then said, 'O ʿAisha! I have been informed such-and-such about you; if you are innocent, then Allah will soon reveal your innocence, and if you have committed a sin, then repent to Allah and ask Him to forgive you, for when a person confesses his sin and asks Allah for forgiveness, Allah accepts his repentance.' When Messenger of Allah ﷺ finished his speech my tears ceased completely and there remained not even a single drop of it. I requested my father to reply to Messenger of Allah ﷺ on my behalf. My father said, By Allah, I do not know what to say to Messenger of Allah ﷺ.' I said to my mother, 'Talk to Messenger of Allah ﷺ on my behalf.' She said, 'By Allah, I do not know what to say to Allah's Apostle. I was a young girl and did not have much knowledge of the Qur'an. I said. 'I know, by Allah, that you have listened to what people are saying and that has been planted in your minds and you have taken it as a truth. Now, if I told you that I am innocent and Allah knows that I am innocent, you would not believe me and if I confessed to you falsely that I am guilty, and Allah knows that I am innocent you would believe me. By Allah, I don't compare my situation with you except to the situation of Joseph's father (i.e. Jacob) who said, 'So (for me) patience is most fitting against that which you assert and it is Allah (Alone) whose help can be sought.' Then I turned to the other side of my bed hoping that Allah would prove my innocence. By Allah I never thought that Allah would reveal Divine Inspiration in my case, as I considered myself too inferior to be talked of in the Holy Qur'an. I had hoped that Messenger of Allah ﷺ might have a dream in which Allah would prove my innocence. By Allah, Allah's Apostle had not got up and nobody had left the house before the Divine Inspiration came to Allah's Apostle. So, there overtook him the same state which used to overtake him, (when he used to have, on being inspired divinely). He was sweating so much so that the drops of the sweat were dropping like pearls though it was a (cold) wintry day. When that state of Messenger of Allah ﷺ was over, he was smiling and the first word he said, ʿAisha! Thank Allah, for Allah has declared your innocence.' My mother told me to go to Messenger of Allah ﷺ . I replied, 'By Allah I will not go to him and will not thank but Allah.' So Allah revealed: "Verily! They who spread the slander are a gang among you . . ." (24.11) When Allah gave the declaration of my Innocence, Abu Bakr, who used to provide for Mistah bin Uthatha for he was his relative, said, 'By Allah, I will never provide Mistah with anything because of what he said about Aisha.' But Allah later revealed: -- "And let not those who are good and wealthy among you swear not to help their kinsmen, those in need and those who left their homes in Allah's Cause. Let them forgive and overlook. Do you not wish that Allah should forgive you? Verily! Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful." (24.22) After that Abu Bakr said, 'Yes ! By Allah! I like that Allah should forgive me,' and resumed helping Mistah whom he used to help before. Messenger of Allah ﷺ also asked Zainab bint Jahsh (i.e. the Prophet's wife about me saying, 'What do you know and what did you see?' She replied, 'O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! I refrain to claim hearing or seeing what I have not heard or seen. By Allah, I know nothing except goodness about Aisha." Aisha further added "Zainab was competing with me (in her beauty and the Prophet's love), yet Allah protected her (from being malicious), for she had piety." (Using translation from Bukhārī 2661)

[Machine] During the time of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , there were men among the hypocrites who would not join him when he went for battle. They would be happy to stay behind and go against the Prophet Muhammad's ﷺ orders. But when the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ returned, they would apologize to him, swear and pretend to have done things that they didn't do. Regarding them, the following was revealed in the Quran: "Do not think that those who rejoice in what they have done and love to be praised for what they have not done - do not think them unscathed from punishment." (Surah Al-Imran, 3:188)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Verily, Allah supports the religion through a sinful man, who is expelled in the authentic Hadith of Abdul-Razzaq."
[Machine] Omar said, "We seek the help of the strength of the hypocrites and their sins upon them, and this is a complete statement. If it is correct, then it has only been mentioned with regards to the hypocrites who are not known for betrayal and deceitfulness. And Allah knows best."

[Machine] We were with Salman in a battle, and we were in the front lines facing the enemy. Salman asked, "Who are these people?" They replied, "They are the polytheists." Salman asked again, "Who are these people?" They replied, "They are the believers." Salman said, "These are the polytheists, and these are the believers, and the hypocrites." Allah supports the believers with the power of the hypocrites, and Allah helps the hypocrites with the prayers of the believers.

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ set out towards Badr. When he reached the area of Wabarah, he was intercepted by a man known for his bravery and assistance. The companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ were delighted to see him. When the man caught up with him, he said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have come to follow you and to be with you in battle." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked him, "Do you believe in Allah and His Messenger?" He replied, "No." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Then go back, for I will not seek assistance from a polytheist." The man left. Later, when the man caught up with him near a tree, he said the same thing. The Prophet ﷺ responded in the same way, telling him to go back since he did not believe in Allah and His Messenger. The man returned. Finally, when the man caught up with him in the open desert, he said the same thing. The Prophet ﷺ asked him, "Do you believe in Allah and His Messenger?" He answered, "Yes." The Prophet ﷺ then said, "Then go ahead."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out until he reached Thaniyat al-Wada'. There, he saw a group of people and asked, "Who are these?" They replied, "They are the sons of Qaynuqa'a, and they are the descendants of Abdullah bin Salam." The Prophet asked, "Have they embraced Islam?" They replied, "No, but they are steadfast on their religion." The Prophet said, "Tell them to go back, for we do not seek help from the polytheists." And this chain of narration is authentic.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out on one of his expeditions, so I approached him with another man before I embraced Islam. We said, "We feel ashamed that our people witness such a scene, so we will not witness it." He asked, "Have you both embraced Islam?" We answered, "No." He said, "Verily, we do not seek assistance from polytheists against other polytheists." So we embraced Islam and witnessed alongside the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . I killed a man and the man struck me. Then, I married his daughter. She used to say, "I have never seen a man more generous than him." I said, "I have never seen a man more hasty to send his father to the Hellfire. His grandfather is Hubayb bin Yasaf, or it is said Asaf, who had the companionship of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ."

58.28 [Machine] Who starts his jihad from among the polytheists? Al-Shafi'i, may Allah have mercy on him, said: "Allah, may He be blessed and exalted, said: {Fight those who fight against you among the disbelievers} [At-Tawbah: 123].
[Machine] Then, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prepared for war and carried out what Allah had commanded him of jihad against his enemies and fighting those who were ordered by him, among the polytheists of the Arabs. Al-Shafi'i said, "If the conditions of the enemy differ, some being more stubborn or more fearful than others, the Imam (leader) should start with the enemy who is most fearful or stubborn, even if his territory is farther, if Allah wills. And this should be considered a necessity." He also reported that the Prophet ﷺ heard about Harith ibn Abi Dirar gathering weapons, so the Prophet ﷺ became jealous and considered him an enemy closer than others.

[Machine] The Prophet (PBUH) was informed that Bani Mustaliq were gathering and their leader was Harith bin Abi Dirar, the father of Juwairiyah, the wife of the Prophet (PBUH). So the Prophet (PBUH) set out until he reached a place called Muraysi' where there was water from the well of Bani Mustaliq. They prepared for the Prophet (PBUH) and the people crowded and fighting broke out. Allah gave victory to the Muslims over Bani Mustaliq, and those who were killed from them were killed. The Prophet (PBUH) took their children, wealth, and women as spoils of war and settled them in Qudaydah until they reached the coast. Ibn Ishaq said that the Prophet (PBUH) attacked it in the month of Sha'ban in the year six.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent me to Khalid b. Sufyan al-Hudhail. This was towards 'Uranah and 'Arafat. He (the Prophet) said: Go and kill him. I saw him when the time of the afternoon prayer had come. I said: I am afraid if a fight takes place between me and him (Khalid b. Sufyan), that might delay the prayer. I proceeded walking towards him while I was praying by making a sign. When I reached near him, he said to me: Who are you ? I replied: A man from the Arabs; it came to me that you were gathering (any army) for this man (i.e. Prophet). Hence I came to you in connection with this matter. He said: I am (engaged) in this (work). I then walked along with him for a while ; when it became convenient for me, I dominated him with my sword until he became cold (dead). And whoever dies while in the cause of Allah, his reward will be like that and his provision will be granted, and he will be protected from trials."
Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "To guard Muslims from infidels in Allah's Cause for one day is better than the world and whatever is on its surface, and a place in Paradise as small as that occupied by the whip of one of you is better than the world and whatever is on its surface; and a morning's or an evening's journey which a slave (person) travels in Allah's Cause is better than the world and whatever is on its surface." (Using translation from Bukhārī 2892)
I heard ʿUthman ؓ say on the minbar: O people, I concealed from you a hadeeth that I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for fear that you would scatter away from me, then I thought that I should tell it to you, and let each one choose for himself what he thinks is best. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: ʿGuarding the border for one day for the sake of Allah is better than a thousand other days doing other deeds.ʿ (Using translation from Aḥmad 470)

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to us while we were digging the ditch and were carrying the earth on our shoulders. (Seeing our condition), he said: O God, there is no life but the life of the Hereafter. So forgive Thou the Muhajirs and the Ansar. (Using translation from Muslim 1804)
Al-Muhajirun (i.e. the Emigrants) and the Ansar were digging the trench around Medina and were carrying the earth on their backs while saying, "We are those who have given the pledge of allegiance to Muhammad for Islam as long as we live." The Prophet ﷺ said in reply to their saying, "O Allah! There is no goodness except the goodness of the Hereafter; so please grant Your Blessing to the Ansar and the Emigrants." The people used to bring a handful of barley, and a meal used to be prepared thereof by cooking it with a cooking material (i.e. oil, fat and butter having a change in color and smell) and it used to be presented to the people (i.e. workers) who were hungry, and it used to stick to their throats and had a nasty smell. (Using translation from Bukhārī 4100)

[Machine] On the authority of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , he said: "Verily, Allah guarantees that whoever goes out to fight in His cause, not seeking anything but faith in Him and affirming belief in His Messenger, will enter Paradise or be brought back to his home with the rewards or spoils of war that he has gained. By the One in whose hand is my soul, if it was not difficult for my Ummah (nation), I would not have remained behind from every expedition that simulates the path of Allah."

58.32 [Machine] The Imam wages war against some of the people from a house of Muslims, and he leaves behind in their home those who prevent their home.
Messenger of Allah, are you leaving me behind amongst women and children? Thereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: Aren't you satisfied with being unto me what Aaron was unto Moses but with this exception that there would be no prophet after me? (Using translation from Muslim 2404b)

Abu Sa’id Al Khudri said “The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ sent an expedition towards Banu Lihyan and said “One of the two persons should go forth. He then said to those who sat (at home), If any one of you looks after the family and property of a warrior, he will receive half the reward of the one who goes forth (in jihad).” (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2510)

[Machine] I participated in seven battles with the Prophet ﷺ , and I went out on expeditions seven times. Abu Bakr went out with us once, and Usama bin Zaid went out with us once, as mentioned in the narration of Qutaybah. Muhammad said in the second expedition there were nine battles.
[Machine] I participated with the Prophet ﷺ in seven battles and with Zaid ibn Harithah in nine battles, as he used to be commanded to lead us.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah (may ﷺ ) appointed 'Amr ibn al-As to a military expedition in which Abu Bakr and 'Umar were with him. When they reached the place of battle, 'Amr commanded them not to light a fire. 'Umar became angry and intended to confront him, but Abu Bakr prevented him and informed him that the Messenger of Allah (may ﷺ ) had not chosen him out of his own accord, but had appointed him due to his knowledge of warfare. 'Umar calmed down after hearing this.

I am narrating to you a hadith which I would have never narrated to you had I not been in death-bed. I heard Allah's apostle ﷺ say: A ruler who has been entrusted with the affairs of the Muslims but he makes no endeavors ( for the material and moral uplift) and does not sincerely mean (their welfare) would not enter Paradise along with them. (Using translation from Muslim 142d)
[Machine] Fortress, I will tell you a story that I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said, "If I knew that I had a long life, I would not tell you this. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'No servant who is responsible for the well-being of others and dies while deceiving them will enter Paradise, for Allah has forbidden it for him.'"
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ says, "Whoever does not show mercy to people, Allah will not show mercy to him." Muawiyah wrote that they should be locked up. He said, "And let them be gratified." Abu Ishaq said, "I have learned a small portion of what brought them gratification."

[Machine] O life, you are the least merciful among people. Bring me a covenant, never do any work for me forever.
