[Machine] We were besieging Khaybar when a person threw a cloak, so I took it and turned around to find the Prophet ﷺ , and I felt embarrassed in front of him.  

كُنَّا مُحَاصِرِينَ خَيْبَرَ فَرَمَى إِنْسَانٌ بِجِرَابٍ فَأَخَذْتُهُ فَالْتَفَتُّ فَإِذَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَاسْتَحْيَيْتُ مِنْهُ  

[Machine] I heard Abdullah ibn Mugaffal saying, "Guide me to a leather sock made of fat on the day of Khaybar, so I took it and held onto it. I said, 'This is mine, and I will not give anyone anything from it.' Then I turned and behold, it was the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , so I felt shy from him." Sulaiman mentioned in his narration, and it is not mentioned in the narration of Shu'bah, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "It is for you."  

سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ مُغَفَّلٍ ؓ يَقُولُ دُلِّيَ جِرَابٌ مِنْ شَحْمٍ يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ فَأَخَذْتُهُ فَالْتَزَمْتُهُ فَقُلْتُ هَذَا لِي لَا أُعْطِي أَحَدًا مِنْهُ شَيْئًا فَالْتَفَتُّ فَإِذَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَاسْتَحْيَيْتُ مِنْهُ قَالَ سُلَيْمَانُ فِي حَدِيثِهِ وَلَيْسَ فِي حَدِيثِ شُعْبَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ هُوَ لَكَ  

[Machine] We used to get honey or fruits from the market and would eat them without saving them.  

كُنَّا نُصِيبُ فِي الْمَغَازِي الْعَسَلَ أَوِ الْفَاكِهَةَ فَنَأْكُلُهُ وَلَا نَرْفَعُهُ  

[Machine] In the hadith, we used to go to battles with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , where we would receive honey and clarified butter, which we would eat. Abu Zakariah ibn Abi Ishaq informed us that Abdul Baqi ibn Qan'i narrated to him, who was informed by Ishaq ibn Al-Hasan, who was informed by Al-Hasan ibn Al-Rabi', who was informed by Ibn Mubarak. So he mentioned it.  

فِي الْحَدِيثِ كُنَّا نَأْتِي الْمَغَازِيَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَنُصِيبُ الْعَسَلَ وَالسَّمْنَ فَنَأْكُلُهُ أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ أنبأ عَبْدُ الْبَاقِي بْنُ قَانِعٍ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ ثنا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ فَذَكَرَهُ  

[Machine] A group of soldiers plundered during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ food and honey, and the Khums was not taken from them. This was narrated by Uthman ibn al-Hakam al-Judhami from Ubaidullah ibn Umar from Nafi, that a group of soldiers plundered without mentioning Ibn Umar in it. The number mentioned for him was 17996. Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us, Abu al-Abbas, who is al-Asamm, narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Abd al-Hakam informed me, Abdulah ibn Wahb narrated to me, Uthman ibn al-Hakam al-Judhami narrated to me from Ubaidullah ibn Umar, and he mentioned it as a message.  

جَيْشًا غَنِمُوا فِي زَمَانِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ طَعَامًا وَعَسَلًا فَلَمْ يُؤْخَذْ مِنْهُمُ الْخُمُسُ وَرَوَاهُ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ الْجُذَامِيُّ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ أَنَّ جَيْشًا غَنِمُوا دُونَ ذِكْرِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ فِيهِ 17996 أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنبأ أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ هُوَ الْأَصَمُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عُثْمَانُ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ الْجُذَامِيُّ عَنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ فَذَكَرَهُ مُرْسَلًا  

[Machine] The people of the mosque sent me to the son of Abi Aufa to ask him about what the Prophet ﷺ did with the food of Khyber. So I went to him and asked him about it, saying, "Was it five?" He said, "No, it was less than that. And when any one of us needed something from him, he would take what he needed from it."  

بَعَثَنِي أَهْلُ الْمَسْجِدِ إِلَى ابْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى ؓ أَسْأَلُهُ مَا صَنَعَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فِي طَعَامِ خَيْبَرَ فَأَتَيْتُهُ فَسَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَقُلْتُ هَلْ خَمَسَهُ؟ قَالَ لَا كَانَ أَقَلَّ مِنْ ذَلِكَ وَكَانَ أَحَدُنَا إِذَا أَرَادَ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا أَخَذَ مِنْهُ حَاجَتَهُ  

[Machine] The Arabs used to say, "Whoever eats bread made with fat, when we conquer Khaybar, we will keep them away from their share of bread." So, I sat on top of it and ate from it until I was full. Then, I started to think about my belly and wondered if it became bigger. Yunus said this and others said it was Ayub.  

كَانَتِ الْعَرَبُ تَقُولُ مَنْ أَكَلَ الْخُبْزَ سَمِنَ فَلَمَّا فَتَحْنَا خَيْبَرَ جَهَضْنَاهُمْ عَنْ خُبْزَةٍ لَهُمْ فَقَعَدْتُ عَلَيْهَا فَأَكَلْتُ مِنْهَا حَتَّى شَبِعْتُ فَجَعَلْتُ أَنْظُرُ فِي عِطْفِيَّ هَلْ سَمِنْتُ كَذَا قَالَ عَنْ يُونُسَ وَقَالَ غَيْرُهُ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ  

[Machine] He found a basket in a battle, so he brought it to Salman. Salman opened it and found disciples and cheese in it. Salman ate from it.  

أَنَّهُ أَصَابَ سَلَّةً يَعْنِي فِي غَزْوَةٍ فَقَرَّبَهَا إِلَى سَلْمَانَ ؓ فَفَتَحَهَا فَإِذَا فِيهَا حَوَارِيُّ وَجُبْنٌ فَأَكَلَ سَلْمَانُ مِنْهَا
