[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If Kisra (the Persian king) is perished, there will be no more Kisra after him. And if Caesar (the Roman emperor) is perished, there will be no more Caesar after him. By the One in whose hand is my soul, their treasures will be spent in the way of Allah."
[Machine] While I was with the Prophet ﷺ, he mentioned a hadith in which he said, "If your life becomes prolonged, you will open the treasures of Kisra." I asked, "O Messenger of Allah, Kisra bin Hurmuz?" He replied, "Yes, Kisra bin Hurmuz." 'Adi said, "I was one of those who opened the treasures of Kisra bin Hurmuz."
[Machine] Imam Shafi'i, may Allah have mercy on him, said: When the Persian king, Kisra, received the letter from the Prophet ﷺ, he tore it apart. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "His kingdom has been torn apart, and we have preserved that Caesar honored the letter of the Prophet ﷺ and placed it in a musk (scented) bag." The Prophet ﷺ said: "Strengthen his kingdom."
Once Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave a letter to a person and ordered him to go and deliver it to the Governor of Bahrain. (He did so) and the Governor of Bahrain sent it to Chousroes, who read that letter and then tore it to pieces. (The sub-narrator (Ibn Shihab) thinks that Ibn Al-Musaiyab said that Messenger of Allah ﷺ invoked Allah against them (saying), "May Allah tear them into pieces, and disperse them all totally.)" (Using translation from Bukhārī 64)
Abu Sufyan bin Harb informed me that Heraclius had sent a messenger to him while he had been accompanying a caravan from Quraish. They were merchants doing business in Sham (Syria, Palestine, Lebanon and Jordan), at the time when Messenger of Allah ﷺ had truce with Abu Sufyan and Quraish infidels. So Abu Sufyan and his companions went to Heraclius at Ilya (Jerusalem). Heraclius called them in the court and he had all the senior Roman dignitaries around him. He called for his translator who, translating Heraclius's question said to them, "Who amongst you is closely related to that man who claims to be a Prophet?" Abu Sufyan replied, "I am the nearest relative to him (amongst the group)." Heraclius said, "Bring him (Abu Sufyan) close to me and make his companions stand behind him." Abu Sufyan added, Heraclius told his translator to tell my companions that he wanted to put some questions to me regarding that man (The Prophet) and that if I told a lie they (my companions) should contradict me." Abu Sufyan added, "By Allah! Had I not been afraid of my companions labeling me a liar, I would not have spoken the truth about the Prophet. The first question he asked me about him was: 'What is his family status amongst you?' I replied, 'He belongs to a good (noble) family amongst us.' Heraclius further asked, 'Has anybody amongst you ever claimed the same (i.e. to be a Prophet) before him?' I replied, 'No.' He said, 'Was anybody amongst his ancestors a king?' I replied, 'No.' Heraclius asked, 'Do the nobles or the poor follow him?' I replied, 'It is the poor who follow him.' He said, 'Are his followers increasing decreasing (day by day)?' I replied, 'They are increasing.' He then asked, 'Does anybody amongst those who embrace his religion become displeased and renounce the religion afterwards?' I replied, 'No.' Heraclius said, 'Have you ever accused him of telling lies before his claim (to be a Prophet)?' I replied, 'No. ' Heraclius said, 'Does he break his promises?' I replied, 'No. We are at truce with him but we do not know what he will do in it.' I could not find opportunity to say anything against him except that. Heraclius asked, 'Have you ever had a war with him?' I replied, 'Yes.' Then he said, 'What was the outcome of the battles?' I replied, 'Sometimes he was victorious and sometimes we.' Heraclius said, 'What does he order you to do?' I said, 'He tells us to worship Allah and Allah alone and not to worship anything along with Him, and to renounce all that our ancestors had said. He orders us to pray, to speak the truth, to be chaste and to keep good relations with our Kith and kin.' Heraclius asked the translator to convey to me the following, I asked you about his family and your reply was that he belonged to a very noble family. In fact all the Apostles come from noble families amongst their respective peoples. I questioned you whether anybody else amongst you claimed such a thing, your reply was in the negative. If the answer had been in the affirmative, I would have thought that this man was following the previous man's statement. Then I asked you whether anyone of his ancestors was a king. Your reply was in the negative, and if it had been in the affirmative, I would have thought that this man wanted to take back his ancestral kingdom. I further asked whether he was ever accused of telling lies before he said what he said, and your reply was in the negative. So I wondered how a person who does not tell a lie about others could ever tell a lie about Allah. I, then asked you whether the rich people followed him or the poor. You replied that it was the poor who followed him. And in fact all the Apostle have been followed by this very class of people. Then I asked you whether his followers were increasing or decreasing. You replied that they were increasing, and in fact this is the way of true faith, till it is complete in all respects. I further asked you whether there was anybody, who, after embracing his religion, became displeased and discarded his religion. Your reply was in the negative, and in fact this is (the sign of) true faith, when its delight enters the hearts and mixes with them completely. I asked you whether he had ever betrayed. You replied in the negative and likewise the Apostles never betray. Then I asked you what he ordered you to do. You replied that he ordered you to worship Allah and Allah alone and not to worship any thing along with Him and forbade you to worship idols and ordered you to pray, to speak the truth and to be chaste. If what you have said is true, he will very soon occupy this place underneath my feet and I knew it (from the scriptures) that he was going to appear but I did not know that he would be from you, and if I could reach him definitely, I would go immediately to meet him and if I were with him, I would certainly wash his feet.' Heraclius then asked for the letter addressed by Allah's Apostle which was delivered by Dihya to the Governor of Busra, who forwarded it to Heraclius to read. The contents of the letter were as follows: "In the name of Allah the Beneficent, the Merciful (This letter is) from Muhammad the slave of Allah and His Apostle to Heraclius the ruler of Byzantine. Peace be upon him, who follows the right path. Furthermore I invite you to Islam, and if you become a Muslim you will be safe, and Allah will double your reward, and if you reject this invitation of Islam you will be committing a sin of Arisiyin (tillers, farmers i.e. your people). And (Allah's Statement:) 'O people of the scripture! Come to a word common to you and us that we worship none but Allah and that we associate nothing in worship with Him, and that none of us shall take others as Lords beside Allah. Then, if they turn away, say: Bear witness that we are Muslims (those who have surrendered to Allah).' (3:64). Abu Sufyan then added, "When Heraclius had finished his speech and had read the letter, there was a great hue and cry in the Royal Court. So we were turned out of the court. I told my companions that the question of Ibn-Abi-Kabsha) (the Prophet ﷺ Muhammad) has become so prominent that even the King of Bani Al-Asfar (Byzantine) is afraid of him. Then I started to become sure that he (the Prophet) would be the conqueror in the near future till I embraced Islam (i.e. Allah guided me to it)." The sub narrator adds, "Ibn An-Natur was the Governor of llya' (Jerusalem) and Heraclius was the head of the Christians of Sham. Ibn An-Natur narrates that once while Heraclius was visiting ilya' (Jerusalem), he got up in the morning with a sad mood. Some of his priests asked him why he was in that mood? Heraclius was a foreteller and an astrologer. He replied, 'At night when I looked at the stars, I saw that the leader of those who practice circumcision had appeared (become the conqueror). Who are they who practice circumcision?' The people replied, 'Except the Jews nobody practices circumcision, so you should not be afraid of them (Jews). 'Just Issue orders to kill every Jew present in the country.' While they were discussing it, a messenger sent by the king of Ghassan to convey the news of Messenger of Allah ﷺ to Heraclius was brought in. Having heard the news, he (Heraclius) ordered the people to go and see whether the messenger of Ghassan was circumcised. The people, after seeing him, told Heraclius that he was circumcised. Heraclius then asked him about the Arabs. The messenger replied, 'Arabs also practice circumcision.' (After hearing that) Heraclius remarked that sovereignty of the 'Arabs had appeared. Heraclius then wrote a letter to his friend in Rome who was as good as Heraclius in knowledge. Heraclius then left for Homs. (a town in Syrian and stayed there till he received the reply of his letter from his friend who agreed with him in his opinion about the emergence of the Prophet ﷺ and the fact that he was a Prophet. On that Heraclius invited all the heads of the Byzantines to assemble in his palace at Homs. When they assembled, he ordered that all the doors of his palace be closed. Then he came out and said, 'O Byzantines! If success is your desire and if you seek right guidance and want your empire to remain then give a pledge of allegiance to this Prophet (i.e. embrace Islam).' (On hearing the views of Heraclius) the people ran towards the gates of the palace like onagers but found the doors closed. Heraclius realized their hatred towards Islam and when he lost the hope of their embracing Islam, he ordered that they should be brought back in audience. (When they returned) he said, 'What already said was just to test the strength of your conviction and I have seen it.' The people prostrated before him and became pleased with him, and this was the end of Heraclius's story (in connection with his faith). (Using translation from Bukhārī 7)

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , wrote to Kisra (the emperor of Persia) and Qaysar (the emperor of Byzantine). As for Qaysar, he tore up the letter. And as for Kisra, he ripped it apart. When the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , heard about that, he said, "As for these, they will be torn apart. And as for those, they will have a remainder." Al-Shafi'i, may Allah have mercy on him, said, "The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , promised the people the conquest of Persia and Syria."

[Machine] Abdullah ibn Hawala said: We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and we complained to him about poverty and scarcity. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Be glad, for by Allah, it is not the abundance of wealth that I fear for you, but rather the scarcity of it. And by Allah, this matter (Islam) will continue to spread among you until Allah opens the lands of Persia, Rome, and Yemen for you, and you will be armies, three armies in Syria, one army in Iraq, and one army in Yemen. And until a man will be given a hundred Dirhams and will be displeased with it." Ibn Hawala said: I said, "O Messenger of Allah, who can conquer Syria and Rome, the domains of empires?" He said, "By Allah, it will be opened for you by Allah, and He will make you its successors, until even the white thread of these people is taken by the black thread of yours in matters that they command, and you fulfill it. And indeed, in it there are men who, in their sight, you are more worthless than monkeys in the sight of camels." Ibn Hawala said: So I said, "O Messenger of Allah, choose for me if I live to see that." He said, "I choose for you Syria, for it is the elite of Allah's land. To it, the elite of His servants will be selected. O people of Yemen, rely on Syria, for surely Allah has taken charge of Syria and its people." Abu 'Alqama said: I heard 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Jubayr say: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ mentioned this hadith about Hurayb ibn Suhayl al-Sulami, who was among the non-Arab people at that time. So when they used to go to the mosque, they would look at him and stand around him. They marveled at the description of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about him and about them. Abu 'Alqama said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took an oath three times in this hadith, and we do not know of any other hadith in which he took an oath like this. And in this book, there is a narration from Ibn Zughb al-Iyadi from 'Abdullah ibn Hawala from the Prophet ﷺ that Syria will be opened for you, and then you will divide the treasures of Persia and Rome.

[Machine] "Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq wrote a letter to Khalid bin Al-Walid, who was in Al-Yamamah, from Abdullah Abu Bakr's caliph. Peace be upon you, O Khalid bin Al-Walid and those who are with him from the Muhajireen, the Ansar, and the followers. I praise Allah to you, the One whom there is no god but He. After that, all praise be to Allah who fulfilled His promise, supported His servant, honored His guardian, humiliated His enemy, and defeated the factions individually. Indeed, Allah, whom there is no god but He, has said: 'Allah has promised those who have believed among you and done righteous deeds that He will surely grant them succession [to authority] upon the earth just as He granted it to those before them and that He will surely establish for them [therein] their religion which He has preferred for them.' (Qur'an 24:55) He wrote the entire verse and recited the verse as a promise from Him, with no deviation, and made jihad obligatory upon the believers, saying: 'Fighting has been prescribed upon you while it is hateful to you.' (Qur'an 2:216) Until he finished reciting the verses, he affirmed the promise of Allah to you, so obey Him in what He has prescribed upon you. Even if the burden becomes heavy, the provision becomes scarce, and difficulties arise, consider it small compared to the immense reward from Allah. So march, and may Allah have mercy upon you, in the path of Allah with light and heavy weapons, and strive with your wealth and yourselves.' (Qur'an 9:41) He wrote the entire verse saying, 'Behold, I have commanded Khalid bin Al-Walid to march to Iraq, and he should not leave it until my order reaches him. So march with him and do not lag behind, for it is a way in which Allah has glorified and increased the reward for those whose intention is good and whose desire for goodness is great. So when you reach Iraq, stay there until my order comes to you. May Allah suffice us and you from the difficulties of this world and the hereafter. Peace be upon you, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.' The Sheikh (narrator) then elaborated on the historical events and the inclusion of his letter in the biography towards Sham (Greater Syria) and the reinforcement of the army leaders there and the victories of the Muslims in the days of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq, and the departure of Heraclius towards Byzantium and the conquests in Iraq, Persia, and the destruction of Khosrow and the carrying of his treasures to Al-Madina in the days of Umar bin Al-Khattab."

[Machine] About Mujahid's statement "until wars lay down their burden" [Muhammad 4], it means until Jesus, son of Mary, descends and submits every Jew, every Christian, and every follower of any religion, and the sheep will be safe from the wolf, and a mouse can borrow a bag. And hostility will disappear from all things, and that is the emergence of Islam over all religions.

[Machine] About Mujahid's saying, "To make it prevail over all religions, even if the polytheists detest it" [Al-Tawbah 33], he said, when Jesus son of Mary descends, there will be nothing on earth but Islam to make it prevail over all religions.

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "By Him in Whose Hands my soul is, surely (Jesus,) the son of Mary will soon descend amongst you and will judge mankind justly (as a Just Ruler); he will break the Cross and kill the pigs and there will be no Jizya (i.e. taxation taken from non Muslims). Money will be in abundance so that nobody will accept it, and a single prostration to Allah (in prayer) will be better than the whole world and whatever is in it." Abu Huraira added "If you wish, you can recite (this verse of the Holy Book): -- 'And there is none Of the people of the Scriptures (Jews and Christians) But must believe in him (i.e Jesus as an Apostle of Allah and a human being) Before his death. And on the Day of Judgment He will be a witness Against them." (4.159) (See Fath-ul-Bari, Page 302 Vol 7) (Using translation from Bukhārī 3448)

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: A section of my people will not cease fighting for the Truth and will prevail till the Day of Resurrection. He said: Jesus son of Mary would then descend and their (Muslims') commander would invite him to come and lead them in prayer, but he would say: No, some amongst you are commanders over some (amongst you). This is the honour from Allah for this Ummah. (Using translation from Muslim 156)

[Machine] The Prophet of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, Allah has shown me the entire earth until I saw its eastern and western boundaries, and He has given me the red and white treasures. Verily, the dominion of my Ummah will reach what has been shown to me from it. And I asked my Lord that He does not destroy them with a general destruction, and that He does not give their enemies from other than them the power to dominate them, so they are destroyed. And that He does not clothe them in division, causing one group to taste the suffering of another. So He said, 'O Muhammad, if I give a gift, there is no returning it. I have given to you for your Ummah that they shall not be destroyed with a general destruction, and I shall not give their enemies from other than them the power to dominate them and make them permissible. Even if all those from the ends of the earth gathered over them, such that some of them are destroyed, some captive, and some are agitated. And indeed, there will be some tribes from my Ummah that will return to idol worship and the worship of false deities. And indeed, the leaders of misguided will be from the most feared of things I fear for my Ummah. And if the sword is placed among them, it will not be raised until the Day of Resurrection. And indeed, there will emerge liars and imposters among my Ummah, close to the number of thirty. And indeed, I am the final seal of the Prophets, there is no Prophet after me. And there will always be a group from my Ummah who will be steadfast upon the truth, victorious, until the command of Allah comes."

[Machine] In His saying, "to manifest it over all religion," [9:33] Allah says that He manifests His Prophet ﷺ in all matters of the religion, and gives him knowledge about it without hiding anything from him, and the polytheists disliked that.
