Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to visit Umm Haram bint Milhan, who would offer him meals. Umm Haram was the wife of Ubada bin As-Samit. Messenger of Allah ﷺ, once visited her and she provided him with food and started looking for lice in his head. Then Messenger of Allah ﷺ slept, and afterwards woke up smiling. Umm Haram asked, "What causes you to smile, O Messenger of Allah ﷺ?" He said. "Some of my followers who (in a dream) were presented before me as fighters in Allah's cause (on board a ship) amidst this sea caused me to smile; they were as kings on the thrones (or like kings on the thrones)." (Ishaq, a sub-narrator is not sure as to which expression the Prophet ﷺ used.) Umm Haram said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! Invoke Allah that he makes me one of them. Messenger of Allah ﷺ invoked Allah for her and slept again and woke up smiling. Once again Umm Haram asked, "What makes you smile, O Messenger of Allah ﷺ?" He replied, "Some of my followers were presented to me as fighters in Allah's Cause," repeating the same dream. Umm Haram said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! Invoke Allah that He makes me one of them." He said, "You are amongst the first ones." It happened that she sailed on the sea during the Caliphate of Mu'awiya bin Abi Sufyan, and after she disembarked, she fell down from her riding animal and died. (Using translation from Bukhārī 2788)
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "One day, in her house, he woke up laughing. So I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, what made you laugh?' He said, 'A group of people from my Ummah were presented to me. They were riding on the back of this sea like kings on thrones.' So I said, 'Pray to Allah to make me one of them.' So he prayed for her, then he slept and woke up. Then he said the same thing. So I said, 'Pray to Allah to make me one of them.' He said, 'You are among the first.' So Ubada bin As-Samit married her and he took her in a campaign at sea. When they returned, a female camel was brought close to her for her to ride, but she killed it and broke its neck, and it died."
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Whoever leaves his house as a Mujahid in the cause of Allah and says, 'Where are the Mujahideen in the cause of Allah?' and he strives in the cause of Allah and dies, his reward is upon Allah, and if he is bitten by a creature and dies, his reward is upon Allah. And whoever dies in his bed until his nose bleeds, it is a statement that I have not heard from anyone among the Arabs before the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , meaning that he died in his bed, his reward is upon Allah. And whoever is killed unjustly, he will enter Paradise."
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "Verily, Allah said: 'Whoever mobilizes outside in the cause of Allah, seeking His face and affirming His promise, and having faith in His messengers, Allah guarantees him. Either Allah causes him to die in the battlefield by any means He wills, thus entering him into Paradise, or He allows him to enjoy His protection. And if his absence is prolonged, then He will return him to his family safely with the reward and spoils he has obtained.' And whoever fights in the cause of Allah and dies, or is killed, meaning that his horse, camel, or weapon kills him, or he dies on his bed by any means Allah wills, then he is a martyr and he will enter Paradise."
Abu Umamat Al Bahili reported the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ as saying “There are three persons who are in the security of Allaah, the Exalted.” “A man who goes out on an expedition to fight in the path of Allaah, the Exalted, is in the security of Allaah, until He takes him unto Him(i.e., he dies) and brings him into Paradise or brings him(alive) with reward and booty he obtains and a man who goes to the mosque is in the security of Allaah, until he takes him unto Him(i.e., he dies), and he brings him into Paradise or brings him with reward and spoils he obtains; and a man who enters his house after giving salutation is in the security of Allaah, the Exalted.” (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2494)
[Machine] I heard the Prophet of Allah ﷺ saying, "Your struggle (i.e., jihad) now is in your home. Do not go out to the assembly and speak. And I heard the Prophet of Allah ﷺ saying, 'Whoever strives in the cause of Allah, he is guaranteed by Allah. And whoever stays in his home and does not slander anyone with evil, he is guaranteed by Allah. And whoever visits a sick person, he is guaranteed by Allah. And whoever goes to the mosque and returns, he is guaranteed by Allah. And whoever enters upon an Imam who honors him, he is guaranteed by Allah.' So, the enemy of Allah wants to remove him from my house to the assembly."
