[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was the best of people, the most generous of people, and the bravest of people. The people of Madinah were startled one night and they rushed towards the sound. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ had already reached them riding a horse that belonged to Abu Talhah, which was bareback and had no saddle. A sword was on his neck. He said, "Do not panic," and he informed them of the news before them, saying, "We have found it to be a sea or he said, 'Indeed, it is a sea.' " He said, "And he was a thoroughbred horse."
I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: What is evil in a man are alarming niggardliness and unrestrained cowardice. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2511)
[Machine] Courage and cowardice are instincts in people. You find a man fighting strangers he doesn't know, and you find a man running away from his father. As for wealth and generosity, piety is not inferior to a Persian or a Non-Arab except through piety.
