2.221 [Machine] The significance of sitting between the two prostrations

٢۔٢٢١ قَدْرُ الْجُلُوسِ بَيْنَ السَّجْدَتَيْنِ

nasai-kubra:738ʿUbaydullāh b. Saʿīd > Yaḥyá > Shuʿbah > al-Ḥakam > Ibn Abū Laylá > al-Barāʾ

"In the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, his bowing, his prostration, standing after he raised his head from bowing and (sitting) between the two prostrations, were almost the same." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1148)  

الكبرى للنسائي:٧٣٨أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي الْحَكَمُ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ قَالَ

«كَانَ صَلَاةُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ رُكُوعُهُ وَسُجُودُهُ وَقِيَامُهُ بَعْدَمَا يَرْفَعُ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ وَبَيْنَ السَّجْدَتَيْنِ قَرِيبًا مِنَ السَّوَاءِ»
