15. Chapter of Ṣād (Male) (16/19)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Will no one give charity for this and pray along with me?" A man stood up and prayed with him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "And this is a congregation."
[Machine] It is said that Umm Hashim sent a man to her father, Ummamah, asking him about a hadith narrated by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ regarding ablution. He said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'Whoever goes to perform ablution and washes his hands, the sins of his hands are washed away. Then, when he rinses his mouth, the sins of his mouth are washed away. When he sniffs water into his nose, the sins of his nose are washed away. Similarly, when he washes his face, the sins of his face are washed away. This continues until he washes his feet, and if he goes out to perform a mandatory prayer, it will be like a complete Hajj (pilgrimage) for him, and if he goes out to perform a voluntary prayer, it will be like a complete Umrah (minor pilgrimage) for him.'"
[Machine] A slave from the fortress of Taif descended and came to his master, saying: "O Messenger of Allah, return my son to me." He said, "Verily, when a slave embraces Islam before his master, he is not returned to him. But when the master embraces Islam and then the slave embraces Islam, he is returned to him."
[Machine] I witnessed Abu Umaymah while he was in the throes of death. He said, "If I die, then treat me as the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded us to treat our deceased. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'When one of your brethren dies, and you have leveled the earth over his grave, let one of you stand at the head of his grave, and say, 'O So-and-So, son of So-and-So.' For verily, he hears him but does not respond. Then let him say, 'O So-and-So, son of So-and-So.' For verily, he sits up straight. Then let him say, 'O So-and-So, son of So-and-So,' for verily, he says, 'Guide us, may Allah have mercy on you, but you do not perceive.' Then let him say, 'Remember what you used to say in the world: testimony that there is no god but Allah, and that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger, and that you were pleased with Allah as your Lord, with Islam as your religion, with Muhammad as your Prophet, and with the Quran as your Imam. For verily, Munkar and Nakir will come to him, and one of them will take his hand and say, 'Come with us, where we shall seat ourselves with one who has been taught his argument.' Then Allah shall be his advocate against them.' A man said, 'O Messenger of Allah, what if his mother doesn't know him?' He said, 'Then he will be attributed to Hawwa, O son of Hawwa.'"

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said: "When a servant stands up for prayer, the gates of Paradise are opened for him, the curtains between him and his Lord are lifted, and the maidens of Paradise come to him, except for those who commit major sins or sever their family ties."
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Whoever fasts on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, Allah will build a house for him in Paradise, the exterior of which will be visible from the interior and the interior of which will be visible from the exterior."
[Machine] From the Prophet ﷺ, he said: "Praise be to Allah as many as the number of His creations. Praise be to Allah as many as the number of what His book has enumerated. Praise be to Allah as many as the number of all things. Praise be to Allah for everything. Glory be to Allah for everything. Glory be to Allah as many as the number of all things."
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “The best of you are those who learn Qurʿan and teach it.” (Using translation from Aḥmad 1318)
[Machine] While the Prophet ﷺ was sitting, a woman came to him carrying her child, with some of them walking. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked her, and on that day she did not ask him anything except that he gave it to her. She went away walking, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The mothers who carry (their children) and give birth to them, and the merciful ones among them, if it were not for what they bring to their husbands, their prayerful wives would enter Paradise."
[Machine] I entered the mosque of Homs, and there was Abu Umamah in it. He was spitting in it and burying lice in it. So I sat with him and he said the tasbeeh (Glorifying Allah) three times, and the takbeer (Saying Allah is the Greatest) three times and the tahmeed (Praising Allah) three times. Then he said, "Good deeds weigh lightly on the tongue, but heavily on the scales, and they ascend to the Most Merciful. So I said, 'O Abu Umamah, I am one of the people of the desert, and indeed the people who give sadaqah (charity) used to surpass us.' He said, 'Sadaqah is a right, and it is sold in the Fire, the saying of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, 'Give in charity and do not hide it lest you be deprived of its reward. And when you meet them (the poor), do not insult them and seek Allah's protection from their harm.'"
[Machine] Abu Umamah narrated to me in a hadith that he raised to the Prophet ﷺ who said, "There is no Muslim who performs ablution, then washes his hands and rinses his mouth, and performs ablution as he was commanded, except that Allah will remove from him whatever he spoke with his mouth and whatever his hands touched, and whatever he walked towards, to the extent that sins fall away from the tips of his fingers. Then, when he walks to the mosque, a good deed is written for every step he takes and a bad deed is erased."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Indeed, the ritual bath on Friday removes sins from the roots of the hair thoroughly."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Some people from my Ummah will spend their nights indulging in food, amusement, and play, and then they will wake up in the morning transformed into monkeys and pigs."
[Machine] I prayed with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for ten years, and his prayers each day were ten units: two units before Fajr prayer, two units before Dhuhr prayer, two units after Maghrib prayer, and two units after Isha prayer.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Indeed, Allah has favored me over the prophets or He said over my ummah over all nations with four things: He sent me to all people, made all the earth for me and my ummah a place of purification and a place of prayer. So wherever a man from my ummah reaches the prayer, then he has his place of prayer with him and he has his purification with him. And I have been granted victory through awe for a distance of one month's journey. And the spoils of war have been made lawful for me."
[Machine] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ: "A man asked the Prophet ﷺ, 'O Messenger of Allah, what is the right of the husband over the wife?' He ﷺ replied, 'If a woman goes out of her house and then returns to find her husband suffering from an incurable and constant nosebleed caused by leprosy, and she licks it with her tongue, she still would not fulfill his right. And it is not permissible for a woman to leave her husband's house without his permission, nor to give anything from her husband's house without his permission.'"
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Verily, the people of good deeds in this world are the people of good deeds in the Hereafter, and indeed the first to enter Paradise are the people of good deeds."
