9. Funerals
٩۔ كِتَابُ الْجَنَائِزِ
[Machine] A Bedouin man came to the Prophet ﷺ, believed in him, and followed him. He said, "I want to migrate with you." So the Prophet ﷺ advised some of his companions regarding him. When the battle of Khaybar took place, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gained some spoils and he distributed them among his companions according to a specific division. He used to watch their backs, so when he returned, they gave their shares to him. He said, "What is this?" They said, "It is a share that was allocated for you." So he took it and brought it to the Prophet ﷺ, asking, "What is this, O Muhammad?" The Prophet ﷺ replied, "It is a share that I allocated for you." He said, "I did not follow you for this purpose, but I followed you with the intention of fighting here and dying, so that I may enter Paradise." Then he pointed to his neck with an arrow, hinting that he wanted to be martyred. The Prophet ﷺ said, "If you are truthful to Allah, Allah will be truthful to you." Then they rose and went to fight the enemy. The Prophet ﷺ was being carried and he was hit by an arrow where he had pointed. The Prophet ﷺ asked, "Is he the one?" They said, "Yes." He said, "Allah has spoken the truth and he has spoken the truth." The Prophet ﷺ wrapped him in his garment, laid him down, and prayed for him. It was noticed in the prayer of the Prophet ﷺ that he said, "O Allah, this is your servant who went out as a migrant for Your sake and was killed as a martyr. I am a witness to him." Ata said, "It is claimed that this man remained alive until the end of the war and then died, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed for him, while those who were not prayed for died before the end of the war. And Allah knows best."

[Machine] He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say during his campaign to Khaybar, to 'Amir ibn al-Akwa' whose real name was Sinan: "Descend, O son of al-Akwa', and bring us some of your provisions." So he descended and began to recite the verses of the poetic ode: "By Allah, if not for you, we would not have been guided, nor believed, nor prayed. So send down tranquility upon us and make our footsteps firm. Surely, we will meet the disbelievers who have transgressed against us, and if they seek to harm us, we will retaliate." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him: "May your Lord have mercy on you." 'Umar ibn al-Khattab said: "By Allah, it is obligatory. If we are granted victory through him, he will be killed during the Battle of Khaybar as a martyr." And it was reported to me that his own sword turned against him, so he spoke harshly to it while fighting, and it caused his death. The Muslims doubted him and said: "Only his own weapon killed him." So Salamah ibn 'Amr asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and informed him of what the people were saying about him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Indeed, he is a martyr." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed for him, and the Muslims prayed for him.

عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ وَحُنِّطَ
[Machine] He made a double-edged dagger for him, and when he grew up, he struck him on his shoulder, then struck him in another place, and then struck him in his waist, and 'Umar fell. It has been narrated in the authentic Hadith from Husain from 'Amr ibn Maymun in the story of the killing of 'Umar. When he stabbed him, the dagger flew with the knife with two edges that would not pass by anyone on the right or left except that it stabbed him. And in that, there is evidence that he was killed with a predetermined plan, then he was washed, shrouded, and prayed upon.

[Machine] Translated into English, the passage is: "Salla 'ala Ali."
صَلَّى عَلَى عَلِيٍّ ؓ
[Machine] "That he be returned to his family, so I brought him Asmaa. She washed him, shrouded him, and perfumed him. Then she buried him," said Ayyub. He continued, "And I thought he lived for only three days after that, and then he died. Nothing more was mentioned about him, and prayers were offered for him."
