23. Book of Quranic Exegesis (Tafsīr)
“He frowned and turned away” was revealed about Ibn Umm Maktum the blind man. He came to the Messenger of Allah saying: ‘O Messenger of Allah! Guide me.’ At that time, there was a revered man from the idolaters with the Messenger of Allah. So the Messenger of Allah turned away from him and faced the other man, saying: ‘Do you think that there is something wrong with what I am saying?’ He said: ‘No.’ So it was about that that it was revealed.” (Using translation from Tirmidhī 3331)
[Machine] "So we have understood all of this, then what is the matter with the father who then broke a stick that was in his hand and said, "By Allah, this is an act of exaggeration, follow what has been made clear to you from this book."
[Machine] From Sawdah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, she said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "People will be resurrected barefoot, naked, and uncircumcised, afflicted by sweat and their perspiration reaching the level of their ears." I said, "O Messenger of Allah, won't people look at each other?" He said, "People will be occupied with something else." Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited the verse, "On the Day a man will flee from his brother, and his mother and his father, and his wife and his children. For every man, that Day will be a matter sufficient unto him." [Quran 80: 34-36]
[Machine] "They will be covered with dust on the faces of the disbelievers, not on the faces of the believers." And this is the saying of Allah Almighty, "On the Day the faces will be covered with dust, covered with darkness." [Surah 'Abasa, 41]
