[Machine] "In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds." (Surah Al-Fatiha 1:2)

So, I said to my father, "Sa'eed informed you that Ibn Abbas said, 'In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful' is a verse." He replied, "Yes."  

{بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ} [الفاتحة 2] فَقُلْتُ لِأَبِي لَقَدْ أَخْبَرَكَ سَعِيدٌ أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ {بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ} [الفاتحة 1] آيَةٌ قَالَ «نَعَمْ»  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Shall I not teach you a surah that has not been revealed in the Torah, the Gospel, the Psalms, or the Criterion, like it?". I said, "Yes". He said, "I hope that you will not leave through this door until you have learned it." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up and I stood up with him, and he would speak to me while I would have my hand in his hand. I was hesitant to leave before he informed me about it, out of dislike for doing so. When I approached the door, I said, "O Messenger of Allah, what is the surah that you promised me?" He said, "How will you recite it when you stand for the prayer?" So I recited Al-Fatiha, and he said, "It is it, and it is the seven oft-repeated and the glorious Qur'an that I have been given."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «أَلَا أُعَلِّمُكَ سُورَةً مَا أُنْزِلَتْ فِي التَّوْرَاةِ وَلَا فِي الْإِنْجِيلِ وَلَا فِي الزَّبُورِ وَلَا فِي الْفُرْقَانِ مِثْلُهَا؟» فَقُلْتُ بَلَى قَالَ «إِنِّي لَأَرْجُو أَنْ لَا تَخْرُجَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ الْبَابِ حَتَّى تَعْلَمَهَا» فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَقُمْتُ مَعَهُ فَجَعَلَ يُحَدِّثُنِي وَيَدِي فِي يَدِهِ فَجَعَلْتُ أَتَبَاطَأُ كَرَاهِيَةَ أَنْ يَخْرُجَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُخْبِرَنِي بِهَا فَلَمَّا دَنَوْتُ مِنَ الْبَابِ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ السُّورَةَ الَّتِي وَعَدْتَنِي قَالَ «كَيْفَ تَقْرَأُ إِذَا قُمْتَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ» فَقَرَأْتُ فَاتِحَةَ الْكِتَابِ فَقَالَ «هِيَ هِيَ وَهِيَ السَّبْعُ الْمَثَانِي وَالْقُرْآنُ الْعَظِيمُ الَّذِي أُعْطِيتُ»  

[Machine] About the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, similar to him according to a Muslim condition.  

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَحْوَهُعلى شرط مسلم  

[Machine] In His saying (praise be to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds) [Al-Fatiha 2], He said: "The jinn and mankind."  

فِي قَوْلِهِ ﷻ {الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ} [الفاتحة 2] قَالَ «الْجِنُّ وَالْإِنْسُ»   

[Machine] "And from some of the companions of the Prophet ﷺ , (the Angel of) Maliki Yaumid-Din said: 'It is the Day of Judgment.'"  

وَعَنْ أُنَاسٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ (مَلِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ) قَالَ «هُوَ يَوْمُ الْحِسَابِ»  

[Machine] From Abdullah in his statement "The Straight Path" [Surah Al-Fatiha, verse 6], he said, "It is the book of Allah."  

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ فِي قَوْلِهِ ﷻ {الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ} [الفاتحة 6] قَالَ «هُوَ كِتَابُ اللَّهِ»  

[Machine] "The Straight Path" [Al-Fatihah 6] "It is Islam, and it is the widest span between the heavens and the earth."  

{الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ} [الفاتحة 6] «هُوَ الْإِسْلَامُ وَهُوَ أَوْسَعُ مَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ»  

[Machine] "He is the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his companions," I said. We mentioned this to Hassan, and he said, "By Allah, he is truthful and sincere. He is the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and Abu Bakr and Umar."  

فِي قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى {الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ} [الفاتحة 6] قَالَ «هُوَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَصَاحِبَاهُ» قَالَ فَذَكَرْنَا ذَلِكَ لِلْحَسَنِ فَقَالَ «صَدَقَ وَاللَّهِ وَنَصَحَ وَاللَّهِ هُوَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ
