23. Book of Quranic Exegesis (Tafsīr)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited an Arabic Quran for a people who understood [Arabic]. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Ismail has been inspired with this language."
[Machine] From his father, with a clear Arabic language, he said, "Speak to them in the language of their tribe." (Al-Shu'ara 195)
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ heard a man recite with a melodious voice, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Guide your brother." It is a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but it was not recorded in a sahih hadeeth collection.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, "Learn the Arabic language properly and seek the eloquence of the Quran."
[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet, peace be upon him, he said, "On the Day of Judgment, they will come with their lips sealed, and the first thing the person will speak is his foot and his palm."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "You will be gathered here, and he pointed with his hand towards Sham (Greater Syria), walking and riding, with your faces exposed and your deeds presented before Allah. And verily, the first one among you to be called upon will be taken by his forelock." Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited the verse, "{And you were not hiding yourselves that your ears and your eyes and your skins will testify against you}" [Fussilat 41:22]. (Narrated by Abu Qaz'a Swaid bin Hujayr, a trustworthy person)
[Machine] From the saying of Allah, the Exalted: "Our Lord, show us those who misled us among the jinn and mankind." [Surah Fussilat 41:29] He ﷺ said, "It is the son of Adam who killed his brother and Iblis."
[Machine] What do you say about the saying of Allah Almighty: "Indeed, those who say, 'Our Lord is Allah,' and then remain on a right course - the angels will descend upon them, saying, 'Do not fear and do not grieve but receive good tidings of Paradise, which you were promised.'" [Fussilat 30] And His saying: "Those who believed and did not mix their belief with injustice - those will have security, and they are [rightly] guided." [Al-An'am 82] Is their belief in injustice a sin? So those who say, 'Our Lord is Allah,' and then remain on a right course without wavering, and those who did not mix their belief with injustice by committing a sin, Abu Bakr said, "You have carried it (this statement) on a different side (other than intended) and then remained on a right course without wavering, and without turning towards any other deity, and without mixing their belief with injustice, meaning with polytheism."
[Machine] Two men approached the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , and one of them became very angry. The Prophet ﷺ said, "I know a word that, if he says it, his anger will go away. I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan." The man said, "Do you think I am crazy?" Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited the verse, "And if an evil suggestion comes to you from Satan, then seek refuge in Allah. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing." [Surah Fussilat, verse 36].
[Machine] He used to prostrate at the end of the two verses of Surah As-Sajdah, and Abu Abdur-Rahman, meaning Ibn Mas'ud, used to prostrate at the first of the two verses.
[Machine] "Indeed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited: 'Indeed, those who disbelieve in the message [i.e., the Quran] when it came to them. And indeed, it is a noble Book. Falsehood cannot approach it from before it or from behind it; [it is] a revelation from a [Lord who is] Wise and Praiseworthy' [Surah Fussilat, 42]. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Indeed, you will not return to Allah with anything more beloved to Him than something that came out of Him,' meaning the Quran."
[Machine] "O you who is in a state of well-being, draw near to Allah with whatever means you are capable of, for indeed, you will not draw near to Him with anything more beloved to Him than His speech."
