8. Shāmīs (18/26)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said regarding the Battle of Tabuk: "If a plague breaks out in a land and you are in it, do not leave. And if it breaks out in a land and you are not in it, do not enter it."
8.103 [Machine] Amr ibn Kharijah
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ heard from Ibn Abi Layla that he heard 'Amr ibn Kharijah say that Lays narrated in his hadith: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ addressed us while he was riding on his camel, saying, "Indeed, charity is not permissible for me or for the people of my household." He then took a pouch from the saddle of his camel and said, "Nor can this be considered equal or outweighed by it." Allah has cursed anyone who claims to be fathered by someone other than his true father or who supports those who are not his allies. A child belongs to the marriage bed, while the stone belongs to the adulterer. Indeed, Allah has given every rightful person their due rights, and there is no bequest for an inheritor.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ delivered a sermon to us in Mina while he was on his mount, and it was stumbling with its reins. His saliva was flowing between his shoulders. He said, "Indeed, Allah has allotted each person his share of inheritance, so it is not permissible for an heir to make a bequest on behalf of his father, nor for the adulterer to inherit. Verily, the curse of Allah, the angels, and all the people is upon anyone who claims someone other than his father as his father or who supports other than his supporters out of preference for them." Ibn Ja'far said: Sa'id said: Ma'atir said, "No substitution or compensation is accepted from him." Yazid said in his narration: "No substitution and no compensation," or "compensation and no substitution." Yazid added in his narration: "Indeed, 'Amr ibn Kharijah reported to them that the Prophet ﷺ delivered a sermon to them while he was on his mount."

[Machine] I was leading the camel of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while it was hobbling with its harness, and its saliva was dripping between its shoulders. He (the Messenger) said, "Indeed, Allah has given every rightful person his right, and there is no bequest for an heir. The child belongs to the bed, and the stone belongs to the adulterer, and whoever claims someone other than his father or belongs to someone other than his guardian then upon him is the curse of Allah, the angels, and all the people." 'Affan said, "And Hammad added to it with this chain of narration, and 'Abdul Rahman bin Ganm was not mentioned. Indeed, I was under the garment of his riding animal." And he added, "Justice and generosity are not accepted from him." And in the Hadith of Hammad, it is narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ delivered a sermon and said, "Desire on their behalf."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ delivered a sermon while he was on his camel, and I was underneath its saddle while it was jerking with its reins. Its saliva was flowing between my shoulders. He said, "Indeed, Allah has given every person their rightful due, and there is no will for the inheritor. The child belongs to the marriage bed, and the child of adultery belongs to the stone. Whoever claims someone other than his father as his own, or belongs to someone other than his guardian, then upon him is the curse of Allah, the angels, and all the people. His expenditure and testimony will not be accepted."
[Machine] I asked the Prophet ﷺ about sacrifice that is flawed, and the Prophet ﷺ said: "Slaughter (the animal) and dye its hooves with its blood, and strike its side with its own skin, but do not eat anything from it, neither you nor your companions."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ sent me a gift and said, "If a part of it becomes faulty, then sacrifice it and then strike his slipper with its blood, then strike his face with it, and neither you nor your companions should eat it, and keep a distance between it and the people."
“The Prophet ﷺ addressed them when he was on his camel. His camel was chewing its cud and its saliva was dripping between my shoulders. He said: 'Allah (SWT) has allocated for each heir his share of the inheritance, so it is not permissible (to make) a bequest for an heir. The child belong to the bed and the adulterer gets the stone. Whoever claims to belong to someone other than his father, or (a freed slave) who claims that his Wala is for other than his Mavali, upon him will be the curse of Allah, the angels and all the people, and no charge nor equitable exchange will be accepted from him.” Or he said: “No equitable exchange nor change.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2712)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ delivered a speech to us while he was in Mina, riding on his camel. I was sitting under the shade of his camel while it was drooling and its saliva was dripping between my shoulders. He said, "Allah has divided for every person his share of inheritance, and it is not permissible for an inheritor to prevent a will. Verily, the child belongs to the bed, and the stone belongs to the adulterer. And whoever claims to belong to someone other than his father, or supports someone other than his legal guardians, out of allegiance to them, then upon him is the curse of Allah, His angels, and all people." Sa'id said, "Matir narrated to us, from Shahar, from 'Abdur-Rahman bin Ghanim, from 'Amr bin Kharijah, from the Prophet ﷺ with the same narration. Matir added something to the narration, and it is not accepted from him."

8.104 [Machine] Abdullah bin Basar Al-Mazani
[Machine] We were young boys sitting with Abdullah ibn Busr, who was a companion of the Prophet ﷺ. We were not good at asking him questions, so I asked him, "Was the Prophet ﷺ an old man?" He said, "He had some white hair in his beard."
[Machine] His father prepared food for the Prophet ﷺ and invited him. When he finished his meal, he said, "O Allah, forgive them, have mercy on them, and bless them in what You have provided for them."
[Machine] A man came to the Prophet ﷺ while he was delivering a sermon to the people on Friday. He said, "Sit down, as you have annoyed and tired me."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ descended, and they mentioned a riba and food and drink. So he ate dates and placed the pits on the back of his two fingers, then he threw them away. Then he stood up and rode a white mule. I took hold of its reins and said, "O Prophet of Allah, supplicate to Allah for us." He said, "O Allah, bless them in what You have provided for them and forgive them and have mercy on them."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to us, and my grandmother offered him a bowl of dates, which she prepared and cooked for him. We also served them drinks, and when the bowl was emptied, I brought another bowl. I was the servant, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Give me the bowl that has reached me."
[Machine] My sister may have sent me something to give to the Prophet ﷺ, so I handed it to him and he accepted it from me.
[Machine] My father sent me to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to invite him to a meal. He came with me, and when we approached the house, I hurried and informed my parents. They came out to receive the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and welcomed him. We placed a Qatifa (type of bread) that we had, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sat on it. Then my father said to my mother, "Bring your food." So she brought a bowl containing flour that had been kneaded with water and salt. I put it in front of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he said, "Take the name of Allah from around it and leave its sides, for there is blessing in it." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ate, and so did we. There were blessings and abundance in it. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Allah, forgive them, have mercy on them, bless them, and expand their provisions."
[Machine] "I heard a story a long time ago when I was among a group of twenty men or fewer or maybe more. I looked at their faces and didn't see a single person who was feared in God. So know that the matter has become lax."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ was approached by two bedouins, and one of them asked him, "O Muhammad, who are the best of men?" The Prophet ﷺ replied, "The best of men are those who live a long life and perform good deeds." The other bedouin said, "We have been overwhelmed with numerous Islamic laws and regulations. Is there a way for us to hold onto something comprehensive?" The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Keep your tongue moist with the remembrance of Allah."
[Machine] I asked Abdullah ibn Busr al-Mazini, the companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and I said, "Did you see the Prophet ﷺ as an old man?" He said, "In his beard, there were white hairs."
[Machine] Narrated Hariz: I asked Abdullah bin Busr while we were young boys and lacked intellect in regards to knowledge, was the Messenger of Allah ﷺ older in age? He replied, "He had a few white hairs."
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to my father and he was a guest with him. He offered food to him and brought hais. He then brought a drink which he drank and he gave it to the one on his right. He ate dried dates and began to put the kernels on the back of his ring finger and middle finger. When he got up, my father also got up, and held the rein of his mount. He said : Pray to Allah for me. He said : O Allah, bless them in what you provided them, and have mercy on them. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3729)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ descended upon Abu, or Abu said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , "Descend upon me." So he descended upon him. He brought him food or barley. Abu said (to the Messenger of Allah), "Eat." So he ate. Then he brought him a drink. He said, "Drink." So he drank. Then he gave it to someone on his right. Abu Shuraih described that he put the date between his index and middle fingers and then threw it. Abu said to him, "O Messenger of Allah, supplicate to Allah for us." So he said, "O Allah, bless them in what You have provided for them, and forgive them and have mercy on them."
[Machine] I entered upon them and said, "May Allah have mercy on you both. A man from among us rides his mount, then strikes it with a whip and tightens its reins. Have you heard anything from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ regarding this?" They replied, "No, we have not heard anything from him regarding this." Then, a woman called out from inside the house, "O questioner, indeed Allah says, 'And there is no creature on earth or bird that flies with its two wings except that they are communities like you. We have not neglected anything in the Book.' " (Quran 6:38). They said, "This is our sister, and she is older than us, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has already advised her."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to accept gifts, but he did not accept charity.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ placed his finger on it and then said, "You will reach the horn." Abu Abdullah said, "And he had a bulky forehead."
[Machine] Concerning fasting on Saturday, except in obligatory situations, it is said, "If none of you can find anything but the bark of a tree, then let him break his fast with it."
The Prophet ﷺ said: The time between the great war and the conquest of the city (Constantinople) will be six years, and the Dajjal (Antichrist) will come forth in the seventh. Abu Dawud said: This is sounder than the tradition narrated by Isa (bin Yunus) (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4296)
[Machine] Abdullah ibn Busr al-Mazini, the companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , narrated that when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would enter the house of a people, he would enter from what is beside its wall and would not enter facing its door.
[Machine] "Narrated by the Messenger of Allah (may ﷺ ) that he said, 'There is none of my Ummah (nation) but I know him on the Day of Resurrection.' They said, 'O Messenger of Allah, how will you know them amongst the multitude of creatures?' He said, 'Do you ever see that if a man has horses with white forelocks among horses that are all dark or bay, will he not know his own horses?' They said, 'Certainly, O Messenger of Allah.' He said, 'Thus, on that day, my Ummah will come with shining foreheads and bright feet from the traces of ablution.'"

Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to my father and we brought to him a meal and a preparation from dates, cheese and butter. He ate out of that. He was then given dates which he ate, putting the stones between his fingers and holding his forefinger and middle finger together" - Shu'bah said: "I think we learn from this that one may hold the date stones between two fingers, In shaAllah." Then a drink was brought for him and he drank it, and then gave it to one who was on his right side. He (the narrator) said: My father took hold of the rein of his riding animal and requested him to supplicate for us. Thereupon he said: O Allah. bless them in what You have provided them as a sustenance; and forgive them and have mercy upon them. (Using translation from Muslim 2042a)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ visited them and mentioned the meaning of the narration of Ibn Ja'far.
[Machine] Narrated Abu Zahraiah: I was sitting with Abdullah ibn Busr on Friday when a man came and forcefully pushed through the people while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was delivering a sermon. Ibn Busr said to him, "Sit down, for you have caused harm and inconvenience."
[Machine] I heard Abdullah ibn Busr saying, "Two Bedouins came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and one of them asked, 'O Messenger of Allah, who among the people is the best?' He said, 'The one whose life is long, and his deeds are good.' The other one asked, 'O Messenger of Allah, the rules and regulations of Islam have become abundant upon me. Command me with something that I can hold on to.' He said, 'Keep your tongue moist with the remembrance of Allah.'"
[Machine] I asked Abdullah ibn Busr, the companion of the Prophet ﷺ , "Was the Prophet ﷺ old?" He replied, "He was younger than that, but he had some white hair in his beard and perhaps some white hairs on his temples."

"I am the first one who heard the Prophet say: 'No one among you should urinate facing towards the Qiblah,' and I am the first one who told the people of that." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 317)
[Machine] I heard the Prophet ﷺ forbidding anyone to urinate facing the Qibla (direction of prayer). So, I went out to the people and informed them.
[Machine] "We ate grilled food with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the mosque. Then the prayer was established, so we put our hands in the gravel, and then we started praying without performing ablution."
[Machine] Al-Hadrami heard Abdullah bin Al-Harith bin Jaz'a Al-Zubaydi, the companion of the Prophet (PBUH), say that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) prohibited us from urinating facing the Qibla.
[Machine] I heard Abdullah Ibn Al-Harith Ibn Jaz' saying, "I have never seen anyone smile more than the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ."
[Machine] Abu Abdurrahman and I heard him, I am from Harun, Abdullah ibn Wahb narrated to us, Haywah ibn Shurayh informed me, he said, Uqbah ibn Muslim narrated to us from Abdullah ibn Al-Harith ibn Jaz' Al-Zubaydi, he said, "We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ one day in Safa, food was placed for us, and we ate. Then the prayer was established, and we prayed without performing ablution."
[Machine] I heard Abdullah ibn Al-Harith ibn Jaz' from the companions of the Prophet ﷺ saying, "Woe to the heels and bellies of the feet from the fire on the Day of Judgment." Abdullah did not raise his voice, and Abdullah said, "I also heard him, I am from the offspring of Harun."
"I am the first one who heard the Prophet say: 'No one among you should urinate facing towards the Qiblah,' and I am the first one who told the people of that." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 317)
[Machine] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ urinating facing the Qibla, and I am the first one to inform the people of that.

[Machine] We ate grilled food with the Prophet ﷺ in the mosque, then the prayer was established. We wiped our hands in the sand, then we stood and prayed without performing ablution.

[Machine] He passed by with his companion to the right of him, along with some young men from the Quraysh tribe who had untied their garments and made them into slingshots to throw at him while they were naked. Abdullah said, when we passed by them, they said: "These are Christian monks, leave them alone." Then, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ confronted them, and when they saw him, they scattered. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ returned angrily until he entered (the house). I was behind the curtain, and I heard him saying, "Glory be to Allah, they did not feel shy of Allah or His Messenger. Umm Ayman is with him, saying, 'Seek forgiveness for them, O Messenger of Allah.'" Abdullah said: "It does not matter how much he seeks forgiveness for them." And I heard him, saying, "I am similar to Harun."
