8. Shāmīs
[Machine] About a man from Abyssinia who used to serve the Prophet ﷺ , he said: We were with him on a journey and he would walk fast when he wanted to leave. He did this because of the scarcity of provisions. One of the people said to him, "O Messenger of Allah, the people have left you behind. So he stopped and the people stopped with him until they caught up with him. Then he said to them, "Do you have any provisions left to cook?" or a person said to him, "We have descended and they have descended." So he said, "Who will take care of us tonight?" So I said, "May Allah make me a ransom for you, so he gave me the lead of his camel." He said, "Here, you can have this." So I took the lead of the camel of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and the lead of my own camel and I let them wander while I watched them until I fell asleep and did not feel anything until I felt the heat of the sun on my face. So I woke up and looked to the right and left and found myself not far from the camels. So I took the lead of the camel of the Prophet ﷺ and the lead of my own camel and went to the nearest people. I woke them up and asked them, "Did you pray?" They said, "No." So they woke up the people one after another until the Prophet ﷺ woke up. He said, "O Bilal, is there any water in the container?" referring to the water for ablution. He said, "Yes, may Allah make me a ransom for you." So he brought him ablution water and he performed ablution without using any soil. Then he ordered Bilal to give the call to prayer, and then the Prophet ﷺ got up and prayed the two Rak'ahs before Dawn and he was not in haste. Then he ordered him and he established the prayer and he prayed and he was not in haste. So someone said to him, "O Prophet of Allah, we have delayed." He said, "No, Allah has taken our souls and returned them to us, and we have already prayed."

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: you will make a secure peace with the Byzantines, then you and they will fight an enemy behind you, and you will be victorious, take booty, and be safe. You will then return and alight in a meadow with mounds and one of the Christians will raise the cross and say: The cross has conquered. One of the Muslims will become angry and smash it, and the Byzantines will act treacherously and prepare for the battle. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4292)
[Machine] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ : "You will make a covenant of peace with the Romans, and you will wage war against them while they are your adversaries. Then you will submit and plunder their land. Afterwards, you will descend upon a mountain full of tuf (a kind of gold), and a man from the Romans will rise and raise the cross saying: 'Indeed, the cross has triumphed!' A Muslim man will then rise and kill him. At that time, the Romans will betray you, and battles will occur. They will come to you in eighty groups, where each group consists of ten thousand people."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "This matter was in Himyar, so Allah ﷻ removed it from them and placed it in Quraysh, and it will continue to be so. And similarly, it was mentioned in the book of Abu Muqattam, and where he narrated to us about the discussion on the issue of Al-Istiwā' (Allah's rising over the Throne) is the Hadith of Mu'awiyah ibn Abu Sufyan."
