8. Shāmīs
[Machine] I have seen three things from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that no one before me had seen and no one after me will see. I went with him on a journey until when we were on a certain path, we passed by a woman who had a child with her. She said, "O Messenger of Allah, this child has been afflicted with a harm, and we have been afflicted with harm from him. He seizes us multiple times a day." He said, "Give him to me." So she handed him to him, and he placed him between himself and the saddle of the camel. Then he blew in his mouth three times and said, "In the name of Allah, I am the servant of Allah, get out, O enemy of Allah." Then he returned him to her and said, "We will pass by this place on the return journey, so inform us what the child is like." She said, "We went and returned and found him at that place with three sheep-like animals." He asked, "What did your child do?" She said, "By the One who sent you with the truth, we did not sense any change in him until now." He said, "Gather these sheep together." He then said, "Go to them and tell them that the Messenger of Allah orders both of you to return to your respective places." He said, "I was sitting with him on a certain day when a camel came, making noise and hitting its legs in front of him. Then his eyes shed tears and he said, 'Look at whose camel this is. It has some importance.'" So I went to search for its owner and found it belonged to a man from the Ansar. I called him and he asked, "What is the matter with your camel?" I asked, "What is the matter with it?" He said, "I don’t know, by Allah. We have worked on it and exhausted it to the point that it can no longer be watered. We decided just yesterday to slaughter it and divide its meat among ourselves." He said, "Don’t do that. Give it to me." The man said, "No, it is for you, O Messenger of Allah." So he marked it with the seal of charity and then sent it away.

A child having fits of epilepsy and the Prophet ﷺ healing him
that a woman came to the Prophet ﷺ with her child saying that he is having fits ˹of epilepsy˺. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Get out O enemy of Allah! I am the Messenger of Allah!" ˹The narrator˺ said that ˹the Prophet moved away.˺ She gifted him two rams, something from aqiṭ (made from curds or cheese), and something from butter.˹The narrator˺ said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Take the aqiṭ and the butter and one of the rams." and he returned the other to her.
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to wipe the faces of his companions before he would say the takbeer (Allahu Akbar) for prayer. Once, he wiped their faces and accidentally touched something from a creature, so he wiped his own face and left me. So I went back and washed myself, then I came back for another prayer and he wiped my face and said, "Return to your religion which is the best. The heavens have cleared."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to wipe our faces during prayer and bless us. He came one day and wiped the faces of those on my right and left, but left me. This was because I had entered the house of my sister and wiped my face with some yellowish substance. It was said to me that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ left you because of what he saw on your face. So, I went to a well and entered it, then I took a bath. Afterwards, I attended another prayer and the Prophet ﷺ passed by me, wiped my face, blessed me, and said: "He returned with the best of his religion, seeking forgiveness, and the heavens responded."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw something in me and said, "Do you have a wife?" I replied, "No." He said, "Then go and wash yourself, and do not marry."
[Machine] I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with an intimate problem related to saffron. He said, "Wash it, then wash it, then wash it, and do not count." So, I washed it, then I did not go back.
[Machine] I came to the Prophet ﷺ with a yellow saffron cloth, and he said, "Wash it, then wash it, and do not count." So I washed it, and did not repeat it.
[Machine] I washed and groomed myself nicely. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to wipe our faces, but when he approached me, he refrained from doing so. When he finished, he asked, "O Ya'la, what led you to groom yourself? Did you get married?" I replied, "No." He then said to me, "Go and wash it." I went and passed by a water container, and I dipped my hand in it and started to rub mud on myself until it vanished. Then I went back to him, and when the Prophet ﷺ saw me, he said, "He has returned with the best of his religion, Al-'Ala'. The sky has shown mercy."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ was approached by a man wearing a magnificent gold ring. The Prophet ﷺ asked him, "Do you pay the Zakat for this?" The man replied, "O Messenger of Allah, what is the Zakat for this?" When the man turned away, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A great fire awaits him."
[Machine] He was sitting with Ziyad when a man was brought to give testimony, but he changed his testimony. Ziyad said to him, "I will cut your tongue!" The man replied, "Can I not tell you a hadith that I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?" He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Allah says, 'Do not make images of My servants.'" So Ziyad left him.
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Whoever takes possession of land unlawfully will be ordered to carry its soil to the Day of Resurrection."
[Machine] I was with the Prophet ﷺ on a journey, and he wanted to attend to a need. So, he commanded me to bring him two stones, and he placed them in his hands. Then, he commanded me to join the two stones together, and I did so. Then, he instructed me to return the stones to their original positions. He then brought a camel and struck it with his whip on the ground, causing it to make a noise. The Prophet ﷺ asked, "Do you know what the camel is saying?" He said, "It claims that its owner wants to slaughter it." So, the Prophet ﷺ sent a message to the owner of the camel, who said in response, "Are you requesting it as a gift?" The man said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have no possession more beloved to me than it." The Prophet ﷺ advised him to treat it kindly. The man replied, "Certainly, I will not honor its wealth over its nobility, O Messenger of Allah." The man then came upon a grave where its occupant was being punished. He said, "He is being punished in something other than the major punishment." So, the Prophet ﷺ commanded that a plantain leaf be placed on the grave, and he said, "Perhaps his punishment will be lightened for as long as it remains moist."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ passed by a grave and said, "Indeed, the owner of this grave is being punished in a lesser form of torment." Then he called for a leaf and placed it on the grave, saying, "Perhaps it will alleviate his punishment as long as it remains moist."
[Machine] "He went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to a gathering that invited him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then assumed the position of a leader. He said, 'Afan and Wahab.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then faced the people while Husayn was playing with some young boys. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ wanted to pick him up, so the child ran back and forth until the Messenger of Allah ﷺ made him laugh and then caught him. He then placed one hand under his chin and the other under his neck, and put his mouth on his mouth and kissed him. Husayn said, 'He is from me and I am from Husayn. Allah loves those who love Husayn. Husayn is a branch from the branches.'"

[Machine] "Hasan and Hussain came running to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , so he embraced them and said, 'Indeed, these children are generous and brave, and it is the Most Merciful who will crush the last trace of arrogance under His feet.'"
from the Prophet ﷺ that a woman came to him with her child who was afflicted with having fits ˹of epilepsy˺. The Prophet ﷺ said to him, "Get out O enemy of Allah. I am the Messenger of Allah." ˹The narrator˺ said that ˹the Prophet moved away.˺ She gifted him two rams, something from aqiṭ (made from curds or cheese) and butter. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Yaʿlá, take the aqiṭ and the butter and one of the rams." and he returned the other to her.
[Machine] I was with the Prophet ﷺ on a journey, and we stopped at a place. He told me, "Go to those two trees and tell them that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commands both of you to gather together." So I went to them and said, "That is what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commands, that you both should gather." Then one of the trees leaned towards the other and they came together. The Prophet ﷺ came out and covered himself with them, and he fulfilled his need. Then each of them returned to their place.
[Machine] I saw three things from the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , while we were walking with him. We passed by a camel that was tied, and when the camel saw the Prophet, it started dragging and put its knees down. The Prophet stood on it and asked, "Where is the owner of this camel?" He came and said, "It's mine." The Prophet said, "No, rather I want to buy it from you." He replied, "No, I will give it to you." The Prophet said, "No, rather I want to take it from you as war booty. They are a family that has nothing to live on except it." The man said, "When you mentioned this from his matter, it seems that he suffers from excessive work and little feed. So be kind to him." Then we continued walking, and we reached a place where the Prophet slept. A tree came and covered him until he was hidden under it, and then it returned to its place. When he woke up, I reminded him. He said, "This is a tree that sought permission from its Lord to greet the Messenger of Allah and was granted permission." Then we continued walking and reached a water source. A woman came with her son. The Prophet held him by his collar and said, "Come out, I am Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah." Then we continued our journey and when we returned, we passed by that water.
