“I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: ‘The likeness of this world in comparison to the Hereafter is that of anyone of you dipping his finger into the sea: let him see what he brings forth.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 4108)
“I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: ‘The likeness of this world in comparison to the Hereafter is that of anyone of you dipping his finger into the sea: let him see what he brings forth.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 4108)
[Machine] Narrated by Al-Mustawrid ibn Shaddad, the companion of the Prophet ﷺ , he said: "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he performed ablution, he would intertwine the fingers of his feet with his little finger."
The Prophet ﷺ said: If anyone eats once at the cost of a Muslim's honour, Allah will give him a like amount of Jahannam to eat; if anyone clothes himself with a garment at the cost of a Muslim's honour, Allah will clothe him with like amount of Jahannam; and if anyone puts himself in a position of reputation and show Allah will disgrace him with a place of reputation and show on the Day of Resurrection. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4881)
“I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: ‘The likeness of this world in comparison to the Hereafter is that of anyone of you dipping his finger into the sea: let him see what he brings forth.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 4108)
“I was riding with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he came across a dead lamb that had been thrown out.’ He said: ‘Don’t you think that this is worthless to its owners?’ It was said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, it is because it is worthless that they have thrown it out, - or words to that effect. He said: ‘By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, this world is more worthless to Allah than this is to its owners.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 4111)
“I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: ‘The likeness of this world in comparison to the Hereafter is that of anyone of you dipping his finger into the sea: let him see what he brings forth.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 4108)
[Machine] I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "Whoever has responsibility over our affairs but does not have a place to live, let him take a place to live. And whoever does not have a spouse, let him get married. And whoever does not have a servant, let him take a servant. And whoever does not have a means of transportation, let him acquire a means of transportation. And whoever gains anything other than that, it is excess."
[Machine] Narrated by Al-Mustawrid ibn Shaddad, the companion of the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he performed ablution, he used to pass his little finger three times between his toes."
[Machine] I heard the Prophet of Allah ﷺ say, "Whoever has the means and does not have a spouse, let them get married. And if they cannot get married, then let them have a servant. And if they cannot have a servant, then let them have a house or a riding animal. And whoever acquires anything else besides that, then they are extravagant or a thief."
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Whoever performs an act for us (the Prophet and his companions), then he mentions (narrates) a narration like the hadith of Al-Harith."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "By the One in whose hand my soul is, this worldly life compared to the Hereafter is nothing but like a man who dipped his finger in the sea and then withdrew it. He said, 'This is the worldly life compared to the hereafter.' And indeed, I am in a caravan with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and we passed by a cursed, forsaken piece of land. He said, 'Do you think that this land is despicable to its people?' They replied, 'Due to its despicability, they have abandoned it.' He said, 'By the One in whose hand my soul is, this worldly life in the sight of Allah is more insignificant than this land is to its people.'"
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "By Allah, this world compared to the hereafter is nothing but a man who dipped his finger in the sea and then withdrew it. So what did he take from it?" They said, "It is insignificant compared to what remained behind." He said, "By Allah, the world is more insignificant compared to Allah than this is compared to what remained behind."
[Machine] I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ who said, "If you say that, then there are four qualities in them. They are indeed the fastest people to perform a deed after a pause, and they are the best of people to the poor, the needy, and the weak. They are the most forbearing people during times of tribulation. And the fourth quality is a good, beautiful characteristic. They are indeed the people who prevent others from the oppression of rulers."
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "The Romans will be the most severe people upon you, and they have indeed perished with the Hour." So 'Umar said to him, "Did I not admonish you against something like this?"
