Regarding the Verse: "Because of the inconvenience of rain or because you are ill." (4.102) (It was revealed in connection with) ʿAbdur-Rahman bin ʿAuf who was wounded.

عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفِ كَانَ جَرِيحًا

A hadith like this has been narrated by 'Abd al-Rahman b. al-Qasim with the same chain of transmitters.

عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ نَحْوَهُ

I reported to Muhammad on the authority of Ibrahim the hadith reported by 'Abd al-Rahmann b. Bishr (the hadith concerning 'azl), where- upon he said: That (hadith) Abd al-Rahman b. Bishr had narrated to me (also).

عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ بِشْرٍ

[AI] About Muhammad ibn Abdurrahman, meaning by this hadith.

عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ يَعْنِي بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ

[AI] Abdulrahman bin Alqamah narrated to us.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَلْقَمَةَ

[AI] From Abdurrahman ibn Abi Ziyad, its like him or similar to him.

عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ مِثْلَهُ أَوْ نَحْوَهُ

[AI] From Abdurrahman ibn Abi Ziyad, he mentioned something like this.

عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

[AI] From Amr ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Umayyah with a similar chain of narration.

عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ بِإِسْنَادٍ مِثْلَهُ

Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Salim ibn Abdullah that Umar ibn al-Khattab turned people back at Sargh according to the hadith of Abd ar-Rahman ibn Awf.

أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ إِنَّمَا رَجَعَ بِالنَّاسِ مِنْ سَرْغَ عَنْ حَدِيثِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ

عن عمرة بنت عبد الرحمن

[AI] "From Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Aswad"

عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ

[AI] "About Abdul Rahman"

عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ

"عبدُ الرْحمَن بن عوفٍ يُسمَّى الأمِين في السَّمَاءِ".
