[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "A believer is not one who utters obscenities or curses or is vulgar or obscene." It is narrated from Alqamah from Abdullah from the Prophet ﷺ that he said something similar to this.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever is deprived of gentleness is deprived of goodness."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "O Aisha, be gentle, for he who is gentle has never done anything wrong, and he who is not gentle has never done anything right."
'A'isha, verily Allah is kind and He loves kindness and confers upon kindness which he does not confer upon severity and does not confer upon anything else besides it (kindness). (Using translation from Muslim 2593)
"Whoever was given his share of gentleness, then he has been given a share of good. And whoever has been prevented from his share of gentleness, then he has been prevented from his share of good." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2013)
from the Prophet ﷺ [who] said, "Verily, the most beloved of you and closest to me in the Hereafter are those with the best character. The most hateful of you to me and furthest from me in the Hereafter are those with the worst character: the braggarts, the verbose, the loquacious." (Using translation from Ibn Ḥibbān 5557)
[Machine] Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Shall I not inform you about the worst among this Ummah (nation)? They are the talkative, pretentious and arrogant. Shall I not tell you about their best? They are the best in character."
The Prophet ﷺ said: Good way, dignified good bearing and moderation are the twenty-fifth part of Prophecy. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4776)
[Machine] Indeed, in you are two qualities that Allah and His Messenger love: patience and gentleness.
The Prophet ﷺ said: There is hesitation in everything except in the actions of the next world. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4810)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Verily, Allah dislikes every insolent, quarrelsome person in the markets, one who brays at night like a donkey during the day, one who is knowledgeable about the worldly matters but ignorant about the Afterlife."
I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "Shall I tell you of the people of Paradise? They comprise every poor humble person, and if he swears by Allah to do something, Allah will fulfill it; while the people of the fire comprise every violent, cruel arrogant person." (Using translation from Bukhārī 6657)
The ones who are easy going are forbidden from the Hellfire
from the Prophet ﷺ who said: "Whoever is gentle, lenient, and easygoing, Allah will forbid him from entering Hellfire."
[Machine] About Umm Salamah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ , she said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The first thing my Lord, may He be glorified and exalted, forbade me from was worshipping idols and drinking alcohol, and instead commanded me to have good manners towards men."
[Machine] We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when modesty was mentioned in his presence. They said, "O Messenger of Allah, is modesty part of religion?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, it is the entirety of religion." Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, modesty is virtuousness and shyness in speech, not in one's heart. It is a part of faith, and indeed, it increases in the hereafter and decreases in this world. And what increases in the hereafter is more than what increases in this world." Iyyas ibn Mu'awiya said, "Then Umar ibn Abdul Aziz ordered me to write it down, so I dictated it to him and he wrote it in his own handwriting. Then he prayed Dhuhr and Asr with us, and he was impressed by it and kept it with him."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The believer is noble and generous, and the sinner is mean and ignoble." It was narrated similarly from 'Isa bin Yunus, from Sufyan, and it was said from Sufyan from Al-Hajjaj from a man from Abu Salamah from Abu Hurairah, and it was narrated by Bishr bin Rafi' from Yahya bin Abi Kathir from Abu Salamah bin 'Abdul-Rahman from Abu Hurairah, similarly attributed.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The nobility of a person is in his religion, his dignity is in his intellect, and his worth is in his character." This is narrated by Muslim ibn Khalid al-Zanji, and it has also been reported from two other weak narrators from Abu Huraira.
[Machine] I heard Shafi'i saying that chivalry consists of four pillars: good character, generosity, humility, and devotion.
[Machine] That Muawiyah asked a man from the tribe of Qais, "What do you consider manhood in you?" He said, "Craftsmanship and chastity." It was narrated from Abu Sowar that he said, "It was said to Muawiyah, 'What is manhood?' He said, 'Chastity in religion and rectitude in livelihood.'"
[Machine] And he said, "When beauty of face does not come with beauty of character, then what is its beauty? The best of a young man's qualities are his understanding and patience." So Yazeed said, "You have done well, O Abu Bahr, and the sea agreed as a witness." Al-Ahnaf said, "Why don't you say 'agreed in meaning' as an explanation?"
[Machine] So I asked, what is patience towards men? So he described diplomacy.
[Machine] As for your country and where righteousness is known, but as for where it is not known, then clothing is...
66.41 [Machine] The testimony of someone who is not concealed in their lies is not valid
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Adhere to truthfulness, for indeed, truthfulness leads to righteousness, and righteousness leads to Paradise. Verily, a man speaks the truth until he is recorded by Allah as a truthful person. Beware of lying, for indeed, lying leads to wickedness, and wickedness leads to the Fire. Verily, a man lies until he is recorded by Allah as a liar." Abu Abdullah Al-Hafiz informed us, who was informed by Muhammad ibn Ya'qub, who was informed by Muhammad ibn Amr, who was informed by Yahya ibn Yahya, who reported it from Abu Muawiya, from Al-A'mash, mentioning it with his chain of narration, except that he said, "And a man continues to speak the truth and strive for truthfulness until he is recorded by Allah as a truthful person." And he said towards the end, "And a man continues to lie and strive for lying until he is recorded by Allah as a liar."
The Prophet ﷺ said, "The signs of a hypocrite are three: 1. Whenever he speaks, he tells a lie. 2. Whenever he promises, he always breaks it (his promise ). 3. If you trust him, he proves to be dishonest. (If you keep something as a trust with him, he will not return it.)" (Using translation from Bukhārī 33)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Verily, among the worst of people is the one with two-facedness, who comes to these people with one face and to those people with another face."
[Machine] "What disgusted the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , did not exist in a person more than lying. Indeed, this man used to lie in the presence of the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , about lies, and he did not cease to carry it in himself until he realized that he had made a repentance greater than it. Abu Bakr said, 'In our version from Abdul Razzaq, this hadith is narrated from Ibn Abi Mulayka or someone else. Abdul Razzaq narrated to us without doubt and said, 'From Ibn Abi Mulayka,' and he did not mention or someone else. The sheikh has a witness from Ibn Abi Mulayka."
[Machine] There was nothing more detested by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ than lying, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ never tested anyone with lies, and if he rejected someone because of a lie, he would not reconcile with him until the person repented. Our sheikh mentioned this in Al-Mustadrak of what was narrated by Al-Asamm from Ibn Abd al-Hakam, from Ibn Wahb, from Muhammad ibn Muslim, from Ayyub al-Sakhtiyani, from Muhammad ibn Sirin, from Aisha.
[Machine] That the Prophet ﷺ invalidated the testimony of a man due to a lie he told, as mentioned in my book by Musa ibn Abi Shaybah.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ bore witness against a man for a lie that he denied. This is the most correct opinion and it is a transmission.
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Woe to the one who speaks and lies in order to make people laugh, woe to him, woe to him."
[Machine] I heard Abu Bakr say, "Beware of lying, for indeed lying goes against faith. This saying is attributed and it is authentic. It has been narrated in the elevated form."
[Machine] "The Muslim is characterized by all qualities except betrayal and lying. This is prohibited and it is the correct behavior. It has been narrated as an elevated act."
[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet, ﷺ , he said: "A believer is stamped on everything except for betrayal and lying."
66.42 [Machine] Whoever is tested with a false testimony that his testimony was not accepted
[Machine] Narrated by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , he said: "The greatest of sins are associating partners with Allah, taking a life, disrespecting one's parents, and bearing false witness." This hadith is reported by Shu'bah and narrated by Al-Bukhari from Amr ibn Marzuq.
[Machine] In it, Muslims are unjust to each other, except for someone who has been whipped deservedly, or someone who has been tested in giving false testimonies, or someone who is suspicious in loyalty, or someone who has close kinship.
66.43 [Machine] Who is believed in to be a liar, and has a way out of it, does not need the name of a liar
[Machine] About his mother, Umm Kulthum bint Uqba, who was one of the earliest emigrants, she said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'The liar is not the one who reconciles between people, saying good things or spreading good.'"
[Machine] She heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "The one who reconciles between people, spreading goodness or saying good things, he is not a liar." She said: "I never heard him granting permission in anything that people talk about except in three: during war, reconciling between people, and a man speaking to his wife and a wife speaking to her husband." And Umm Kulthum bint Uqbah was one of the Muhajirun women who gave the pledge of allegiance to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ .
I did not hear the Messenger of Allah ﷺ making a concession for anything people say falsely except in three matters. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would say: I do not count as a liar a man who puts things right between people, saying a word by which he intends only putting things right, and a man who says something in war, and a man who says something to his wife, or a wife who says something to her husband. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4921)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Verily, Ibrahim, the Friend of the Most Merciful, never told a lie except for three lies: his saying about their gods, 'Nay, this was done by their great one' [Surah Al-Anbiya, 63], his saying when he invited their gods to argue with him, 'Verily, I am sick' [Surah As-Saffat, 89], and his saying to his wife Sarah, 'This is a young man who has narrated to us a Hadith that we should accept from him.' They (the scholars) agree that this refers to the Hadith of Ibn Sirin from Abu Hurairah" (Surah Al-Anbiya, 63). This refers to the expression of exaggeration and clarification about their idols having no effect, his saying, 'Verily, I am sick' [Surah As-Saffat, 89], indicating that he will fall ill, and his saying to Sarah, 'My sister,' meaning the bond of Islam. And Allah knows best.

[Machine] I gave my pledge of allegiance to the Prophet ﷺ , and there remained with him a group of people. I promised him that I would bring them to him in that place. He said, "I am waiting for you here from three days ago." He mentioned this with regard to Abdullah ibn Shaaqiq, narrated from his father. And Abu Abdullah al-Haafiz, Abu Bakr al-Qaadi, and Abu Abdullah al-Sulami narrated from Abu al-Abbas Muhammad ibn Ya'qub, narrated from Abu Umayyah, narrated from Muhammad ibn Sinaan al-Basri, narrated from Ibrahim ibn Tahman, narrated from Budayl ibn Maisarah, narrated from Abdul Kareem, narrated from Abdullah ibn Shaaqiq, narrated from his father, narrated from Abdullah ibn Abi al-Hamsa. He said, "I gave my pledge of allegiance to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ before he was sent as a prophet." And he mentioned this narration in its essence. And Abu Ali al-Rudhbari narrated from Abu Bakr ibn Dassah, narrated from Abu Dawood, narrated from Muhammad ibn Yahya al-Naysaburi, narrated from Muhammad ibn Sinaan, and he mentioned this narration. Abu Dawood said, "Muhammad ibn Yahya said, 'This is attributed to Abdul Kareem ibn Abdullah ibn Shaaqiq.' Sheikh Ahmad, may Allah have mercy on him, narrated it. And Ibrahim ibn Hane' narrated it from Muhammad ibn Sinaan, and he said it was narrated by Mu'adh ibn Hane' from Ibrahim ibn Tahman, and there was no doubt about Abdullah ibn Abi al-Hamsa."

He reported to us Abu Sa'ad al-Malini that Abu Ahmad ibn Adi al-Hafiz informed us that Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Abdul Aziz ibn al-Jaad al-Washa narrated to us that Abu Ibrahim al-Tarjumani mentioned it with his chain of narration similar to it. Dawud ibn al-Zibraqan has specifically reported it with a different weak chain from Ali, raised narration.

[Machine] It is to speak with words that, if expressed by them, would be lies, then oppose them with other words that agree with those words in wording but contradict them in meaning, so that the listener thinks that was intended. His saying "mandūḥah" which means spaciousness and room, the Shaykh said this is only permissible in order to repel harm and not to cause harm to others. As for causing harm to others, it is not permissible.
