66. Witnesses
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah (may ﷺ ) said: "Recite upon me." So I said: "Shall I recite upon you while it is revealed upon you?" He said: "Yes, recite." So I recited Surah An-Nisa until I reached the verse: "So how [will it be] when We bring from every nation a witness and we bring you, [O Muhammad] against these [people] as a witness?" (Quran 4:41) He said: "That is enough." Then he turned away and tears were flowing from his eyes.
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Indeed, this Qur'an was revealed with sadness, so when you recite it, weep. And if you cannot weep, then pretend to weep." In the narration of Abu Abdullah, he said, "Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas came to us, and his sight had been taken away. So I went to him as a Muslim, and he asked, 'Who are you?' I informed him, and he said, 'O son of my brother.' Then he mentioned it and added at the end, 'And be delighted with it, for whoever does not find delight in it is not one of us.'"
