[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked me, "Do you have any poetry from Umayyah ibn Abi as-Salt?" I said, "Yes." He said, "Recite it." So I recited a poem and he said, "Recite more." I kept reciting until I reached a hundred verses. Abu Abdullah informed us, and Abu al-Walid informed me, and Ibrahim ibn Abi Talib informed us, and Ibn Abi Umar informed us, and Sufyan mentioned it with its chain of narration similar to this.
[Machine] I composed a hundred verses of poetry from the words of Umayyah bin Abi Salt. All of it says "Hey hey!" Then he said, "If it weren't for his poetry, he would have embraced Islam."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was on a journey, and there was a young boy called Anjasha who would lead their animals and drive them. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "Woe to you, O Anjasha, be gentle with your driving." Ayub narrated from Abu Qilabah, which means the women.
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ is reported to have said, "O Anjashah, do not break the bottles." They mentioned this in the authentic hadith from the narration of Hammam.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Woe to you, O 'Anjasha! Run your markets with bottles."
[Machine] We went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to Khaybar and traveled during the night. A man from the people said to 'Amir bin Al-Akwa, "Won't you let us hear some poetry from you?" 'Amir was a poet, so he recited the following verses:
"O Allah, if it were not for You, we would not have been guided,
nor given in charity, nor prayed.
So forgive our sins,
for all that we have pursued in Your cause,
and make our feet firm,
if we encounter the enemy.
And bestow tranquility upon us,
when we are called upon.
And they blamed us with mockery,
but the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Who is this poet?'
They said, 'It is 'Amir bin Al-Akwa.'
[Machine] He (referring to the person being addressed) was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a journey when he said to him, "O Ibn Rawaha, alight and move the baggage." He replied, "O Messenger of Allah, I have left that." Then, Umar said to him, "Listen and obey." So he threw himself down and said, "By Allah, if it were not for you, we would not have been guided, we would not have given charity, and we would not have prayed. So descend tranquility upon us and make our feet firm if we encounter (the enemy)."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered Mecca, and Ibn Rawaha was holding his spear and saying, "The sea, Al-Rajz. Let the disbelievers of Bani Kaffarah be prevented from his path today. We will strike you with a blow that will remove the barrier from its path and astonish the true friend. O Lord, I believe in what he says."
[Machine] When the Prophet ﷺ entered Makkah for the Umrah Al-Qada', Abdullah Ibn Rawaha walked in front of him saying, "Khallu Banee Al-Kuffar 'an sabeelihi, qad nazzaala ar-Rahmanu fee tanzilihi. Anna khayra al-qatl fi sabeelihi nahnu qat'alnakum 'ala tawiilihi, kama qatalnakum 'ala tanzilihi."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered Mecca, and its people stood in groups, looking at the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his companions. Ibn Rawaha walked in front of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "Clear the way for the disbelievers, for today we will strike you with a blow that will remove the distress from its place and astonish the beloved from his beloved. O Lord, I believe in what is said." Omar said to Ibn Rawaha, "O Ibn Rawaha, are you reciting poetry in the sanctuary of Allah and in front of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "What is the matter, Omar? By Him in Whose Hand is my soul, his words have affected them even more than the thunderbolt." Al-Shafi'i may Allah have mercy on him said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came across a group from the Banu Tamim with Had and he mentioned the meaning of the story..."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was traveling towards Ash-Sham (Greater Syria) when he heard a voice in the distance of the night. He said, "Hurry us to this voice." They hurried until they caught up to it and greeted the person. The person asked, "Who are you people?" They replied, "We are from Mudar." The man said, "This night has reached Mudar." A man said, "O Messenger of Allah, I am the first person who tamed camels in the pre-Islamic era." The Prophet asked, "How is that?" He replied, "A man from amongst us got jealous of another man's camels, so he intended to harm them, but the camels refused to be gathered. He struck one of them and broke his hand, while the boy kept saying, 'And both his hands!' Suddenly, the camels gathered while he was saying, 'Say such and such.' Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ laughed." Sufyan added: Al-Ala' bin Abdulkarim and Mujahid added in their narrations that the Prophet ﷺ said, "Verily, our haida (leader) and an-nayah (Nabataean Arab) are similar."
