[Machine] I composed a hundred verses of poetry from the words of Umayyah bin Abi Salt. All of it says "Hey hey!" Then he said, "If it weren't for his poetry, he would have embraced Islam."

البيهقي:٢١٠٣٠ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَأَبُوبَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْقَاضِي قَالَا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ أنبأ أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الثَّقَفِيُّ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الشَّرِيدِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

أَنْشَدْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ مِائَةَ قَافِيَةٍ مِنْ قَوْلِ أُمَيَّةَ بْنِ أَبِي الصَّلْتِ كُلُّ ذَلِكَ يَقُولُ هِيهِ هِيهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنْ كَادَ فِي شِعْرِهِ لَيُسْلِمَ

أَخْرَجَهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ الْمُعْتَمِرِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ وَعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مَهْدِيٍّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ الشَّافِعِيُّ رَحِمَهُ اللهُ وَسَمِعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْحُدَاءَ وَالرَّجَزَ
