[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ heard saying: Allah has not granted permission for anything like the permission granted to a Prophet with a beautiful voice to recite the Quran aloud.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah did not permit anything that He permitted for a prophet to indulge in reciting the Quran, and his companion said to him, 'It (the recitation) increases him in arrogance."
[Machine] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the day of the conquest of Mecca reciting Surah Al-Fath. Then he returned and said, "Abdullah ibn al-Mughaffal recited," and he returned and said, "Abu Iyas recited." And he said, "If it were not that I fear people would unite against me, I would have recited it with the same tone with which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited it."
The Prophet ﷺ said: Beautify the Qur'an with your voices. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1468)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Verily, Allah and His angels pray upon the first row." He said, "And I thought that he said, 'Beautify the Qur'an with your voices.' This is a lengthy hadith."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "He is not one of us who does not find joy/pleasure in reciting the Quran."
(The narrator Qutaibah said: This tradition has been narrated by Sa'id b. Abu Sa'id in my collection): The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: He who does not chant the Qur'an is not one of us. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1469)
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "He who does not recite the Quran melodiously is not one of us." Sufyan said, meaning, he should seek Allah's sufficiency through reciting the Quran.
[Machine] No, this is not its meaning. Its meaning is to read it with malaise and grief.
[Machine] I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "He who does not sing the Quran, is not one of us." I asked Ibn Abi Mulaykah, "O Abu Muhammad, what if someone does not have a good voice?" He said, "He should recite it to the best of his ability." This hadith has different reports in its chain of narration from Ibn Abi Mulaykah. It is narrated from him from these two ways, and it is also mentioned from him from Ibn Abbas, from Aisha, and from others. The statement of Ibn Abi Mulaykah in this hadith confirms the correctness of the interpretation of Imam Al-Shafi'i, may Allah have mercy on him.
“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ‘Allah listens more attentively to a man with a beautiful voice who recites Qur’an out loud than the master of a singing slave listens to his slave.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1340)
[Machine] I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "Allah is more pleased with the beautiful voice in reciting the Qur'an than He is with the singing of songs of the companion of the tambourine to his tambourine." Abu 'Abdul-Rahman As-Sulami informed us, Ahmad Ibn Ishaq Ibn Ayyub, the jurist, informed us, Muhammad Ibn Ayyub informed us, Muhammad Ibn 'Uqbah Ibn Kathir As-Sudusi narrated to us, he said, Al-Walid Ibn Muslim narrated to us, from Al-Awza'i. Shafi'i (may Allah have mercy on him) said, "Indeed, he ﷺ heard 'Abdullah Ibn Qais, which means Abu Musa, reciting, so he said, 'Indeed, this person has been given from the recitation similar to the Psalms of David's household."
[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari while he was reciting beside the mosque, 'Indeed, this man has been given a melodious voice from the melodies of the family of David.'"
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me, "If you could see me while I was listening to your recitation last night, you would have seen that I was given a flute from the flutes of the family of David." And he said, "If I had known, I would have ordered it to be stopped for you."
[Machine] When Umar would sit with Abu Musa, he would say to him, "Remind me, O Abu Musa, and then he would recite."
[Machine] In His saying "He increases in creation what He wills" [Surah Fatir 35:1], Husn Al-Sawt commented.
