8. Shāmīs (3/26)
[Machine] Narrated to us what you heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . There was no one left who heard it. He said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'Whoever conceals (the faults of) a believer in this world, Allah will conceal him on the Day of Resurrection.' He then came to his camel, mounted it, and returned."
[Machine] I was driving the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in his journey, and he said, "O 'Uqbah, shall I not teach you two surahs that are recited?" I said, "Yes." He said, "Say, 'I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak' and say, 'I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind'." When they were revealed, he performed the Fajr prayer with them and then asked, "How do you see it, O 'Uqbah?"
We were entrusted with the task of tending the camels. On my turn when I came back in the evening after grazing them in the pastures, I found Messenger of Allah ﷺ stand and address the people. I heard these words of his: If any Muslim performs ablution well, then stands and prays two rak'ahs setting about them with his heart as well as his face, Paradise would be guaranteed to him. I said: What a fine thing is this! And a narrator who was before me said: The first was better than even this. When I cast a glance, I saw that it was 'Umar who said: I see that you have just come and observed: If anyone amongst you performs the ablution, and then completes the ablution well and then says: I testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the servant of Allah and His Messenger, the eight gates of Paradise would be opened for him and he may enter by whichever of them he wishes. (Using translation from Muslim 234a)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to us while we were studying the Quran. He said, "Learn the Quran and recite it." He said, "That is enough for me, and I do not know it except this." He said, "Sing with it, for it is more soothing than the lullaby in the mind of a nursing mother."
[Machine] I said to 'Uqbah, "Indeed, we have neighbors who drink alcohol, and I am inviting them to stop. However, they ignore me. He said, "Don't do that, but instead advise them and warn them. I said, "I did that, but they did not listen. He said, "Then come to me when smoke comes out." He said, "I prohibited them, but they did not stop. And I am inviting them to stop. 'Uqbah said, "Woe to you, don't do that. Indeed, I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Whoever conceals the faults of a believer, it is as if he has revived a desiccated carcass from its grave."

I shall be present there (at the Cistern) before you. I shall be your witness and, by Allah, I perceive as if I am seeing with my own eyes my Cistern at this very state and I have been given the keys of the treasures of the earth or the keys of the earth and, by Allah, I am not afraid concerning you that you would associate anything (with Allah after me), but I am afraid that you would be vying with one another (for the possession of) the treasures of the earth. (Using translation from Muslim 2296a)

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "There are two types of jealousy. One of them is loved by Allah, and the other is hated by Allah. There are also two types of suspicion. One of them is loved by Allah, and the other is hated by Allah. Jealousy in seeking knowledge is loved by Allah, while jealousy in worldly matters is hated by Allah. Suspicion when a person gives charity is loved by Allah, while suspicion in arrogance is hated by Allah."

They (the people) said: Messenger of Allah, we would all like that.
