[Machine] He heard Uqbah bin Amir saying, "I held onto the Prophet's foot and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, recite Surah Hud and Surah Yusuf for me.'" So the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said to me, "O Uqbah bin Amir, you have not recited a Surah that is more beloved to Allah and more comprehensive in its meaning than 'Say: I seek refuge with (Allah), the Lord of the daybreak.'" He said, "Abu Imran would never leave it, and he would always recite it in the Maghrib prayer."  

أحمد:١٧٤١٨ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ وَابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ قَالَا سَمِعْنَا يَزِيدَ بْنَ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ يَقُولُ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عِمْرَانَ

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ يَقُولُ تَعَلَّقْتُ بِقَدَمِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَقْرِئْنِي سُورَةَ هُودٍ وَسُورَةَ يُوسُفَ فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَا عُقْبَةُ بْنَ عَامِرٍ إِنَّكَ لَمْ تَقْرَأْ سُورَةً أَحَبَّ إِلَى اللهِ وَلَا أَبْلَغَ عِنْدَهُ مِنْ قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ قَالَ يَزِيدُ لَمْ يَكُنْ أَبُو عِمْرَانَ يَدَعُهَا وَكَانَ لَا يَزَالُ يَقْرَؤُهَافِي صَلَاةِ الْمَغْرِبِ

الدارمي:٣٤٨٢ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ وَابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ قَالَا سَمِعْنَا يَزِيدَ بْنَ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ يَقُولُ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عِمْرَانَ

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ يَقُولُ تَعَلَّقْتُ بِقَدَمِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَقْرِئْنِي سُورَةَ هُودٍ وَسُورَةَ يُوسُفَ فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «يَا عُقْبَةُ إِنَّكَ لَنْ تَقْرَأَ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ سُورَةً أَحَبَّ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَلَا أَبْلَغَ عِنْدَهُ مِنْ قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ» قَالَ يَزِيدُ «فَلَمْ يَكُنْ أَبُو عِمْرَانَ يَدَعُهَا كَانَ لَا يَزَالُ يَقْرَؤُهَا فِي صَلَاةِ الْمَغْرِبِ»

[Machine] "He heard Uqbah bin 'Amir say, 'I followed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was riding, so I placed my hand on his foot and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, teach me either a Surah from Surah Hud or a Surah from Surah Yusuf.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'O Uqbah bin 'Amir, you will not recite a Surah more beloved to Allah or more significant to Him than "Say, 'I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak'" (Surah Al-Falaq). If you can make sure it is not missed in your prayer, then do so.'"  

ابن حبّان:١٨٤٢ – أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ سَلْمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ وَذَكَرَ ابْنَ سَلْمٍ آخَرَ مَعَهُ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ أَسْلَمَ بْنِ عِمْرَانَ

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ يَقُولُ تَبِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ رَاكِبٌ فَجَعَلْتُ يَدِي عَلَى قَدَمِهِ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَقْرِئْنِي إِمَّا مِنْ سُورَةِ هُودٍ وَإِمَّا مِنْ سُورَةِ يُوسُفَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «يَا عُقْبَةُ بْنَ عَامِرٍ إِنَّكَ لَنْ تَقْرَأَ سُورَةً أَحَبَّ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَلَا أَبْلَغَ عِنْدَهُ مِنْ أَنْ تَقْرَأَ قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ فَإِنِ اسْتَطَعْتَ أَنْ لَا تَفُوتَكَ فِي صَلَاةٍ فَافْعَلْ»

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ once while he was riding, so I placed my hand on his foot and said, "O Messenger of Allah, recite for me a verse from Surah Hud or from Surah Yusuf." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Uqbah ibn Amir, you will not recite a surah that is more beloved to Allah and more reach in virtue than reciting 'Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of Daybreak,' if you can ensure that you do not miss it in your prayers, then do so."  

الطبراني:١٤٩٩٠ – حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ رِشْدِينَ الْمِصْرِيُّ ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ أَسْلَمَ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ يَقُولُ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمًا وَهُوَ رَاكِبٌ فَوَضَعْتُ يَدِي عَلَى قَدَمِهِ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَقْرِئْنِي مِنْ سُورَةِ هُودٍ وَإِمَّا مِنْ سُورَةِ يُوسُفَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يَا عُقْبَةُ بْنَ عَامِرٍ إِنَّكَ لَنْ تَقْرَأَ بِسُورَةٍ أَحَبَّ إِلَى اللهِ وَأَبْلَغَ عِنْدَهُ مِنْ أَنْ تَقْرَأَ بِقُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ فَإِنِ اسْتَطَعْتَ أَنْ لَا تَفُوتَكَ فِي صَلَاةٍ فَافْعَلْ»
