(regarding the revelation) Truly he (Muhammad) did see of the signs of his Lord; the Greatest!' (53.18) The Prophet ﷺ saw a green screen covering the horizon. (Using translation from Bukhārī 4858)
[Machine] Narrated by the Prophet, ﷺ , "Indeed, Allah the Almighty has decreed upon the son of Adam his share of adultery, and no doubt, he will definitely come across it. The adultery of the hand is the (actual) physical involvement, and the adultery of the tongue is through uttering (inappropriate) words, and the soul desires and craves (adultery), and the private parts either affirm or deny (committing adultery)."
"I asked Aishah about the words of Allah, the Mighty and Sublime: 'So it sin not a sin on him who perform Hajj or Umrah (Pilgrimage) of the House (the Kabah at Makkah) to perform the going (Tawaf) between them (as-Safa and Al-Marwah) and (I said): 'By Allah, there is no sin on anyone if he does not go between As-Safa and Al-Marwa.' Aishah said: 'What a bad thing you said, O son of my brother! If this Ayah was as you have interpreted it, there would be no sin on a person if he did not go between them. But it was revealed concering the Ansar. Before they accepted Islam, they sued to enter Ihram for the false goddess Manat whom they used to worship at Al-Mushallal. Whoever enter Ihram for her would refrain from going between As-Safa and Al-Marwah. When they asked the Messenger of Allah about that, Allah, the Might and Sublime, revealed: 'Verily As-Safa and Al-Marwah (Two mountains in Makkah) are of the Symbols of Allah. So it is not a sin on him who performs Hajj or Urmrah (Pilgrimage) of the House (the Kabah at Makkah) to perform the going (Tawaf) between them (As-Safa and Al-Marwah). Then the Messenger of Allah enjoined going between them so no one has the right to refrain from going between them.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2968)

"I swore by Al-Lat and Al-'Uzza and my companions said to me: 'What a bad thing you have said! You have said something horrible.' So I went to the Messenger of Allah and told him about that. He said: 'Say: La ilaha illallah wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulk wa lahul-hamd wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadir (There is none worthy of worship except Allah with no partner or associate; His is the Dominion, to Him be all praise, and He is able to do all things). Spit to your left three times, seek refuge with Allah from the Shaitan, and do not say that again.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3777)

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever amongst you swears, (saying by error) in his oath 'By Al-Lat and Al- Uzza', then he should say, 'None has the right to be worshipped but Allah.' And whoever says to his companions, 'Come let me gamble' with you, then he must give something in charity (as an expiation for such a sin)." (See Hadith No. 645) (Using translation from Bukhārī 6107)
[Machine] When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ conquered Mecca, he sent Khalid ibn al-Walid to a date palm tree where Al-Uzza was located. Khalid went to it, and it had three Samurah (date clusters). He cut the Samurah and demolished the house that was on it, then he came to the Prophet ﷺ and informed him about it. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Go back, for you have not accomplished anything". So Khalid returned, and when the Sadanah (a big wooden structure) became visible to him, they stared at the mountain and said, "O Uzza, O Uzza!" Khalid came to it and found a naked woman with her long hair spread out on her head, standing in the dust. He covered her with his sword until he killed her, then he returned to the Prophet ﷺ and informed him about it. The Prophet ﷺ said, "That is Al-Uzza".

54.54 Sūrat al-Qamar
'Umar b. al-Khattab asked Abu Waqid al-Laithi: What did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recite during the prayer on the day of sacrifice and on the breaking of the fast ? He replied: He recited at both of them Surah al-Qaf, "By the Glorious Quran" [50] and the Surah "The Hour is nigh" (54). (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1154)
[Machine] Omar asked me what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited during the prayers of the two Eids, so I said, "{The Hour has come near, and the moon has split} [Al-Qamar, verse 1]" and "{Qaf. By the honored Qur'an} [Qaf, verse 1]"
The Prophet ﷺ recited:-- 'Hal-min-Muddakir' (54.15) (Is there any that will remember) (and avoid evil). (Using translation from Bukhārī 3376)
The Prophet ﷺ said, "I was granted victory with As-Saba and the nation of 'Ad was destroyed by Ad- Dabur (westerly wind) . (Using translation from Bukhārī 1035)
The Prophet ﷺ , while in a tent (on the day of the battle of Badr) said, "O Allah! I ask you the fulfillment of Your Covenant and Promise. O Allah! If You wish (to destroy the believers) You will never be worshipped after today." Abu Bakr caught him by the hand and said, "This is sufficient, O Allah's Apostle! You have asked Allah pressingly." The Prophet ﷺ was clad in his armor at that time. He went out, saying to me: "There multitude will be put to flight and they will show their backs. Nay, but the Hour is their appointed time (for their full recompense) and that Hour will be more grievous and more bitter (than their worldly failure)." (54.45-46) Khalid said that was on the day of the battle of Badr. (Using translation from Bukhārī 2915)
[Machine] Woe to you, what is bothering you? Have you read any passage before? The first chapter that was revealed was a chapter in which the mention of paradise and hellfire was made. Then when people were inclined towards Islam, the revelation of what is permissible and what is forbidden was revealed. If the first thing revealed was "do not drink alcohol," they would have said, "We will not stop drinking alcohol." And if the first thing revealed was "do not commit adultery," they would have said, "We will not stop committing adultery." Indeed, the verse "And the Hour is more disastrous and more bitter" [Quran 54:46] was revealed in Makkah. And I, a slave girl, used to play with Muhammad ﷺ and I was present with him when Surah Al-Baqarah was revealed. So I brought the Qur'an to him and recited the verses to him.
People dispersed from around Abu Huraira, and Natil, who was from the Syrians. said to him: O Shaikh, relate (to us) a tradition you have heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said: Yes. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: The first of men (whose case) will be decided on the Day of Judgment will be a man who died as a martyr. He shall be brought (before the Judgment Seat). Allah will make him recount His blessings (i. e. the blessings which He had bestowed upon him) and he will recount them (and admit having enjoyed them in his life). (Then) will Allah say: What did you do (to requite these blessings)? He will say: I fought for Thee until I died as a martyr. Allah will say: You have told a lie. You fought that you might be called a" brave warrior". And you were called so. (Then) orders will be passed against him and he will be dragged with his face downward and cast into Hell. Then will be brought forward a man who acquired knowledge and imparted it (to others) and recited the Qur'an. He will be brought And Allah will make him recount His blessings and he will recount them (and admit having enjoyed them in his lifetime). Then will Allah ask: What did you do (to requite these blessings)? He will say: I acquired knowledge and disseminated it and recited the Qur'an seeking Thy pleasure. Allah will say: You have told a lie. You acquired knowledge so that you might be called" a scholar," and you recited the Qur'an so that it might be said:" He is a Qari" and such has been said. Then orders will be passed against him and he shall be dragged with his face downward and cast into the Fire. Then will be brought a man whom Allah had made abundantly rich and had granted every kind of wealth. He will be brought and Allah will make him recount His blessings and he will recount them and (admit having enjoyed them in his lifetime). Allah will (then) ask: What have you done (to requite these blessings)? He will say: I spent money in every cause in which Thou wished that it should be spent. Allah will say: You are lying. You did (so) that it might be said about (You):" He is a generous fellow" and so it was said. Then will Allah pass orders and he will be dragged with his face downward and thrown into Hell. [Machine] Translation:
About the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , that he recited this verse: "{For someone who fears the position of his Lord, there are two gardens}" [Ar-Rahman 46]. So I asked, "Even if he commits adultery or theft, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "{For someone who fears the position of his Lord, there are two gardens}" [Ar-Rahman 46]. I asked again, "Even if he commits adultery or theft, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "{For someone who fears the position of his Lord, there are two gardens}" [Ar-Rahman 46]. And he persisted, even though it angered Abu Ad-Darda, I continued to recite it in this manner until I met him.

"There were kings after 'Isa bin Mariam who altered the Tawrah and the Injil, but there were among them believers who read the Tawrah. It was said to their kings: 'We have never heard of any slander worse than that of those (believers) who slander us and recite: "And whosoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed, such are the disbelievers." In these Verses, they are criticizing us for our deeds when they recite them.' So he called them together and gave them the choice between being put to death, or giving up reading the Tawrah and Injil, except for what had been altered. They said: 'Why do you want us to change? Leave us alone.' Some of them said: 'Build us a tower and let us go up there, and give us something to lift up our food and drink so we do not have to mix with you.' Others said: 'Let us go and wander throughout the land, and we will drink as the wild animals drink, and if you capture us in your land, you may kill us.' Others said: 'Build houses for us in the wilderness, and we will dig wells and grow vegetables, and we will not mix with you or pass by you, for there is no one of the tribes among whom we do not have close relatives.' So they did that, and Allah revealed the words: 'But the monasticism which they invented for themselves, We did not prescribe for them, but (they sought it) only to please Allah therewith, but that they did not observe it with the right observance.' Then others said: 'We will worship as so-and-so worshipped, and we will wander as so-and-so wandered, and we will adopt houses (in the wilderness) as so-and-so did.' But they were still following their Shirk with no knowledge of the faith of those whom they claimed to be following. When Allah sent the Prophet [SAW], and they were only a few of them left, a man came down from his cell, and a wanderer came from his travels, and a monk came from his monastery, and they believed in him. And Allah said: 'O you who believe! Fear Allah, and believe in His Messenger (Muhammad), He will give you a double portion of His mercy - meaning, two rewards, because of their having believed in 'Isa and in the Tawrah and Injil, and for having believing in Muhammad [SAW]; and He will give you a light by which you shall walk (straight), - meaning, the Qur'an, and their following the Prophet [SAW]; and He said: 'So that the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) may know that they have no power whatsoever over the Grace of Allah.'" [Machine] I will inform you about this matter. Indeed, Allah, the Most High, has granted His Messenger, ﷺ , something that He has not given to anyone other than him. He said, "And what Allah restored to His Messenger from the people of the towns - it is for Allah and for the Messenger and for [his] near relatives and orphans and the [stranded] traveler" [Al-Hashr: 6]. So, this is specifically for the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ . By Allah, he did not choose it for himself or prefer it over you. And indeed, he distributed it among you until only this amount remained. So, the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , spent from it on his family according to their needs and then he made what remained in the wealth of Allah, the Exalted, concise.

ʿAbdullah (bin Masud) said. "Allah curses those ladies who practice tattooing and those who get themselves tattooed, and those ladies who remove the hair from their faces and those who make artificial spaces between their teeth in order to look more beautiful whereby they change Allah's creation." His saying reached a lady from Bani Asd called Um Yaqub who came (to ʿAbdullah) and said, "I have come to know that you have cursed such-and-such (ladies)?" He replied, "Why should I not curse these whom Messenger of Allah ﷺ has cursed and who are (cursed) in Allah's Book!" Um Yaqub said, "I have read the whole Qur'an, but I did not find in it what you say." He said, "Verily, if you have read it (i.e. the Qur'an), you have found it. Didn't you read: 'And whatsoever the Apostle gives you take it and whatsoever he forbids you, you abstain (from it). (59.7) She replied, "Yes, I did," He said, "Verily, Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade such things." "She said, "But I see your wife doing these things?" He said, "Go and watch her." She went and watched her but could not see anything in support of her statement. On that he said, "If my wife was as you thought, I would not keep her in my company." (Using translation from Bukhārī 4886)

[Machine] I recommend the Caliph who comes after me to be mindful of Allah, and I advise him regarding the early immigrants who were expelled from their homes, that he acknowledges their migration and recognizes their virtues. And I advise him regarding the Helpers, who took in the immigrants and embraced the faith before them, that he recognizes their virtues and shows gratitude towards those who do good to them, and overlooks the wrongs committed by them. And I advise him regarding the people who have a covenant with Muhammad to fulfill their obligations towards them, and not to burden them beyond their capabilities, and to fight their enemies from behind them.

(Lull) the children to sleep, and put out the lamp, and serve the guest with what you have with you. It was on this occasion that this verse was revealed:" Those who prefer the needy to their own selves in spite of the fact that they are themselves in pressing need" (Lix. 9). [Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Beware of injustice, for it will be darkness on the Day of Resurrection, and beware of obscenity, for Allah does not like obscenity and those who behave indecently. And beware of selfishness, for it has destroyed those who came before you. It commanded them to commit injustice, so they committed it, and it commanded them to commit immorality, so they committed it, and it commanded them to sever the ties of kinship, so they severed them."

when we (prayed and) sat up during prayer along the Messenger of Allah (may peach be upon him), we said: “Peace be to Allah before it is supplicated for His servants; peace be to so and so. “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Do not say “Peace be to Allah ,”for Allah Himself is peace. When one of you sits(during the prayer), he should say: The adoration of the tongue are due to Allah, and acts of worship and all good things. Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and Allah’s mercy and His blessings. Peace be upon us and upon Allah’s upright servants. When you say that, it reaches every upright servant in heavens and earth or between heavens and earth. I testify that there is no god but Allah, and I testify that Muhammad is His servant and apostle. Then he may choose any supplication which pleases him and offer it.
I heard ‘Ali ؓ say: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent me, az-Zubair and al-Miqdad, and he said: “Go to the garden of Khakh, where you will find a woman riding a camel with whom there is a letter, and take it from her.” We set out with our horses galloping, until we reached that garden, and there we found the woman. We said: Give us the letter. She said: I do not have any letter. We said: Either you give us the letter or we will remove your clothes. So she brought it out from her braided hair, and we took it and brought it to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and in it (was written): From Hatib bin Abi Baltaʿah to some of the mushrikeen of Makkah, telling them about some of the plans of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ʿO Hatib, what is this?ʿ He said: Do not be hasty in judging me, O Messenger of Allah ﷺ. I am a man who was attached to Quraish but I was one of them. The Muhajireen who are with you have relatives who will protect their families in Makkah, and I wanted, as i have no blood ties among them, to do them a favour so that they would protect my family. I did not do it out of kufr or because I apostatized from my religion, or because I approved of Kufr after becoming Muslim. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ʿHe has told you the truth.ʿ ʿUmar ؓ said: O Messenger of Allah ﷺ, let me strike the neck of this hypocrite. He said: “He was present at Badr, and you do not know, perhaps Allah looked upon the people of Badr and said: ʿDo what you wish, for I have forgiven you.ʿ (Using translation from Aḥmad 600)

(the wife of the Prophet) When believing women came to the Prophet ﷺ as emigrants, he used to test them in accordance with the order of Allah. 'O you who believe! When believing women come to you as emigrants, examine them . . .' (60.10) So if anyone of those believing women accepted the above mentioned conditions, she accepted the conditions of faith. When they agreed on those conditions and confessed that with their tongues, Messenger of Allah ﷺ would say to them, "Go, I have accepted your oath of allegiance (for Islam). By Allah, and hand of Messenger of Allah ﷺ never touched the hand of any woman, but he only used to take their pledge of allegiance orally. By Allah, Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not take the pledge of allegiance of the women except in accordance with what Allah had ordered him. When he accepted their pledge of allegiance he would say to them, "I have accepted your oath of allegiance." (Using translation from Bukhārī 5288)
