[Machine] I went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ along with some people from my tribe after he opened Khaibar in three days. He allocated provisions to us and did not give anything to anyone who had not witnessed the conquest except us.
[Machine] We accompanied Abu Musa from Isfahan, and we hurriedly arrived, and Uqaylah came. Abu Musa said, "Is there a young man who can climb this date-palm tree?" I said, "Yes." So, I climbed it and brought down the dates for him. Then, I came and sat with the people. He said, "Should I not narrate to you a Hadith that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to tell us?" We said, "Yes, may Allah have mercy on you." He said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to tell us that among the signs of the Hour are Al-Harj." It was said, "What is Al-Harj?" He said, "Killing." They said, "It is more severe than what we are killing now?" He said, "It is not killing that you engage in. Rather, it is the killing that occurs among you until a man kills his neighbor, and a man kills his brother, and a man kills his uncle, and a man kills his cousin." They said, "Glory be to Allah! Our minds cannot comprehend such a thing." He said, "No, but it is the removal of the intellects of the people of that time. So much so that one of you may think that he is doing something, when he is not doing it." Then, by the One in Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad, I was afraid that you would come to know of these matters, and I would find no way out for me and for you except by what our Prophet ﷺ ordered us to do. Except that we leave it. As we entered it, we narrate nothing in it.
[Machine] We were at the house of Abu Musa when he served his food and mentioned something similar to the story of Zahdam.
[Machine] We were at the house of Abu Musa when he served his food, and he mentioned a story similar to the story of Zahdam's asceticism.
[Machine] We were at the house of Abu Musa when he invited us to his table. He brought it and on it was chicken meat. Then he started to talk.
[Machine] He said, the funeral procession passed by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , which was giving birth to a very difficult and painful labor. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Upon you is moderation."
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: Feed the hungry, visit the sick and free the captive. Sufyan said: al-'ani means captive. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3105)
Allah created Adam from a handful which he took from the whole of the earth ; so the children of Adam are in accordance with the earth : some red, some white, some black, some a mixture, also smooth and rough, bad and good. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4693)
[Machine] "He (the Prophet ﷺ) was once with the Prophet ﷺ in a garden, and in the hand of the Prophet ﷺ was a stick with which he hit between water and clay. Then a man came seeking permission (to enter), so he said, 'Give him permission and give him glad tidings of Paradise.' It was Abu Bakr. So I let him in and gave him glad tidings of Paradise. Then another man came seeking permission, so he said, 'Give him permission and give him glad tidings of Paradise.' It was Umar. So I let him in and gave him glad tidings of Paradise. Then another man came and sought permission. So he said, 'Give him permission and give him glad tidings of Paradise regarding a calamity that will befall him or a calamity that will occur.' It was Uthman. So I let him in and gave him glad tidings of Paradise and informed him. So he said, 'Allah is the Helper.'"
[Machine] I was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in a part of the walls of the city. He mentioned the meaning of the hadith of Yahya except that he said in the words of Uthman, "Allah, the Sustainer, provides us patience and we seek refuge in Allah."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Wearing silk and gold is permissible for the women of my Ummah (community), while it is prohibited for its men."
[Machine] I said to the Prophet ﷺ, "Indeed, the people of Yemen have two drinks or beverages, this is Bit'u which is made from honey, and Mazro which is made from corn and barley. What do you command me regarding them?" He said, "I prohibit you from every intoxicant."
[Machine] The people faced a difficult obstacle or valley, and whenever a man climbed it, he would call out "There is no god but Allah, and Allah is the Greatest," and the Prophet ﷺ was riding a camel displaying it to the horses, and he said, "O people, you are not calling upon one who is deaf or absent." Then he said, "O Abu Musa or O Abdullah ibn Qais, shall I guide you to a treasure from the treasures of Paradise?" I said, "Yes." He said, "Say: There is no power or strength except with Allah."
[Machine] He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "No one should turn his heels away, waiting for what Allah and His Messenger bring, except for the disobedience to Allah and His Messenger."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, "There will be no believer on the Day of Judgment who does not bring with him a Jew or a Christian who will say, 'This is my ransom from the Fire.'"
I am Muhammad, Ahmad. Muqaffi (the last in succession), Hashir, the Prophet of repentance, and the Prophet of Mercy. (Using translation from Muslim 2355)
[Machine] Abu Musa, my son, how wonderful it would be if you could see us with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and our scent is the scent of sheep.
[Machine] He informed that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was in a wall in the city, leaning on the edge of the well, stretching his legs. Abu Bakr knocked on the door, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ told him to enter and gave him the glad tidings of Paradise, so he did and stretched his legs. Then Umar knocked on the door, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ told him to enter and gave him the glad tidings of Paradise, so he did. Then Uthman ibn Affan knocked on the door, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ told him to enter and gave him the glad tidings of Paradise, but said he would face a trial, so he did.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah will gather the nations on a single plain on the Day of Judgment. When it becomes apparent to Allah to judge between His creations, a representative from each people will be presented, displaying what they used to worship. They will follow them until they are cast into the Fire. Then, our Lord will come to us while we are in a lofty position and He will ask, 'Who are you?' We will reply, 'We are the Muslims.' He will ask, 'What are you waiting for?' We will say, 'We are waiting for our Lord.' He will then ask, 'Do you recognize Him if you were to see Him?' We will answer, 'Yes.' He will ask, 'How do you recognize Him and you have not seen Him?' We will say, 'Indeed, there is no injustice in Him.' Then, He will manifest Himself to us as a beaming light, saying, 'Rejoice, O Muslims! For there is not one of you except that I have assigned his place in the Fire as a Jew or a Christian.'"
[Machine] Abu Burdah reported to me a hadith from my father from the Prophet ﷺ who said, "Allah will gather the nations on the Day of Judgment." Abu Burdah mentioned the hadith, and Umar said to Abu Burdah, "By Allah, did you hear Abu Musa narrating it from the Prophet ﷺ ?" He replied, "Yes, I heard it from my father who narrated it from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ."
[Machine] "When a man sets free his slave and then marries her with a new dowry, he will have two rewards."
[Machine] The orphan girl is being ordered within herself, so if she remains silent, then she has agreed, and if she refuses, then she should not be married.
[Machine] "He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'Indeed, this Ummah (nation) is a merciful one. Allah has made its punishment among them. So, on the Day of Resurrection, a man from each group of them will be brought forward. It will be said, 'This will be your ransom from the Fire.'"
[Machine] It is said that Humamah, one of the companions of Muhammad ﷺ , went out to Al-Isbahān as a warrior during the caliphate of Umar. He said, "O Allah, it is claimed that Humamah loves to meet You. So, if Humamah is telling the truth, grant him success in meeting You, and if he is lying, deal with him accordingly. If Allah dislikes him, do not allow Humamah to return from this journey." Then, death took hold of him, and his stomach became infected. He died in Al-Isbahān, and A'fān attested to this. Abu Musa stood up and said, "O people, I swear by Allah that we have never heard anything from your Prophet ﷺ nor have we received any knowledge except that Humamah is a martyr."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The example of a good companion is like that of a perfume seller. Even if you don't buy from him, you will still enjoy the fragrance. And the example of a bad companion is like that of a blacksmith; even if you don't get harmed by him, you will still be bothered by the foul smell."
[Machine] And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The heart is named so because of its constant fluctuation. The example of the heart is like a feather suspended in the root of a tree being turned over by the wind, sometimes showing its top and sometimes its bottom."
The Prophet ﷺ said: Before you there will be commotions like pieces of a dark night in which a man will be a believer in the morning and an infidel in the evening. He who sits during them will be better than he who gets up, and he who gets up during them is better than he who walks, and he who walks during them is better than he who runs. They (the people) said: What do you order us to do? He replied: Keep to your houses. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4262)
[Machine] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ : Break your arrows, cut your ropes, meaning, in times of discord, stay within the confines of your homes and be like the best of the sons of Adam.
The Prophet said: "The likeness of the believer who recites the Qur'an is that of a citron, the taste and smell of which are good. The likeness of a believer who does not read the Qur'an is that of a date, the taste of which is good but it has no smell. The likeness of a hypocrite who reads the Qur'an is that of a sweet basil, the smell of which is good but its taste is bitter. And the likeness of a hypocrite who does not read the Qur'an is that of a colocynth (bitter apple), the taste of which is bitter and it has no smell.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 214)

Hittan ibn Abdullah ar-Ruqashi said: AbuMusa al-Ash'ari led us in prayer. When he sat at the end of his prayer, one of the people said: Prayer has been established by virtue and purity. When AbuMusa returned (from his prayer or finished his prayer), he gave his attention to the people, and said: Which of you is the speaker of such and such words? The people remained silent. Which of you is the speaker of such and such words? The people remained silent. He said: You might have said them, Hittan. He replied: I did not say them. I was afraid you might punish me. One of the people said: I said them and I did not intend by them (anything) except good. AbuMusa said: Do you not know how you utter (them) in your prayer? The Messenger of Allah ﷺ addressed us, and taught us and explained to us our way of doing and taught us our prayer. He said: When you pray a (congregational) prayer, straighten your rows, then one of you should lead you in prayer. When he says the takbir (Allah is Most Great), say the takbir, and when he recites verses "Not of those upon whom is Thy anger, nor of those who err" (i.e. the end of Surah i.), say Amin; Allah will favour you. When he says "Allah is most great," and bows, say "Allah is most great" and bow, for the imam will bow before you, and will raise (his head) before you. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: This is for that. When he says "Allah listens to the one who praises Him," say: "O Allah, our Lord, to Thee be praise, Allah be praised," Allah will listen to you, for Allah, the Exalted, said by the tongue of His Prophet ﷺ: "Allah listens to the one who praises Him." When he says "Allah is most great" and prostrates, say: "Allah is most great" and prostrate, for the imam prostrates before you and raises his head before you. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: This is for that. When he sits, each one of you should say "The adorations of the tongue, all good things, and acts of worship are due to Allah. Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and Allah's mercy and His blessings. Peace be upon us and upon Allah's upright servants. I testify that there is no god but Allah, and I testify that Muhammad is His servant and Apostle." This version of Ahmad does not mention the words "and His blessings" nor the phrase "and I testify"; instead, it has the words "that Muhammad." (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 972)

I went to the Prophet ﷺ while two men who were Ash’ arIs were with me. One of them was on my right and the other on my left side. Bothe of them asked him for employment. The prophet ﷺ was silent. He asked : What do you say Abu Musa, or ‘Abd Allah b. Qais (Abu Musa’s name)? I replied: By him who has sent you with truth, they did not inform me of what they had in their hearts, and I did not know that they would ask for an employment. He said : I have the scene before my eyes that he had his toothstick below his lip which receded. He (the prophet) said: We will never or will not put in charge of our work anyone who asks for it. But go, ye, Abu Musa, or ‘Abd Allah b. Qais. He then sent him as a Governor of the Yemen, After him he sent Muadh b. Jabal. When Muadh came to him, he said: come down , and he put a cushion for him. He saw that a man was chained with him. He asked : What is this? He replied: He was a Jew and he accepted Islam. He then converted to his religion, an evil religion. He said: I will not sit until he is killed according to the decision of Allah and his Apostle ﷺ. He said: Yes, be seated. He said: I will not sit until he is killed according to the decision of Allah and his Apostle (peace be upon him). He said it three times. He then commanded for it and he was killed. Both of them then discussed the question of prayer and vigilance at night. One of them, probably Muadh, said : So far as I am concerned, I sleep and I keep vigilance: I keep vigilance and I sleep: I hope for the same reward for my sleep as for my vigilance. I used to give fatwas on that basis during the caliphate of Abu Bakr and ‘Umar. During one season when I was performing Hajj, a man came to me and said: You do not know the latest fatwa of Ameer al-Muʿmineen concerning the Hajj. I said: O people, if we gave a fatwa, Ameer al-Muʿmineen is coming to you, so follow him in performing Hajj. When he came I said: What is this thing that you have introduced to the rituals [of Hajj]? He said: We see in the Book of Allah that Allah, may He be exalted, says: ʿAnd perform properly (i.e. all the ceremonies according to the ways of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, the Hajj and ‘Umrah (i.e. the pilgrimage to Makkah) for Allahʿ [al-Baqarah 2:196], and if we follow the Sunnah of our Prophet ﷺ, he did not exit ihraam until he offered the sacrifice.
