[Machine] I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , I said, "Our land is a hunting ground, so one of us throws his game and it disappears from him for a night or two, then he finds it with his arrow in it?" He said, "If you find your arrow and do not find any other trace in it, and you know that your arrow killed it, then eat it."
[Machine] When this verse was revealed: "And eat and drink until the white thread of dawn becomes distinct to you from the black thread (of night)" (Quran 2:187), I intended to distinguish between two headbands, one black and the other white. So I placed them under my pillow and looked at them, but I couldn't differentiate between the white and the black. When I woke up in the morning, I went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and informed him about what I had done. He said, "That is the whiteness of the day and the darkness of the night."
" I heard 'Adiyy bin Hatim say: 'I asked the Messenger of Allah about the Mirad and he said: "If the sharp point hits 9the game) then eat, bu8t if the broad edge of it hits it, and it is killed, then it has been killed by a blow, so do not eat." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4306)
"I release my trained dog and he catches (game)." He said: "If you release the trained dog and you say the name of Allah over him, and he catches (something), then eat." I said: "Even if he kills it?" He said: shoot with the Mirad." He said: "If it hits (the game) with its sharp point, then eat, but if it hits it with its broad side, then do not eat" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4265)
"The Messenger of Allah said: 'There is no one among you but his Lord will speak to him without any intermediary between them. He will look to his right and will not see anything but that which he sent forth. He will look to his left and will not see anything but that which he sent forth. Then he will look in front of him and will be faced with the Fire. So whoever among you can protect himself from fire, even by means of half a date, let him do so.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 185)
[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, my father used to maintain family ties, host guests, and do such and such." He said, "If your father intended something, he achieved it." I said, "O Messenger of Allah, I throw arrows but I cannot find anything to sharpen them with except 'marwah' and a stick." He said, "Sharpen them with whatever you want, then mention the name of Allah." I said, "I have never left any food except out of bashfulness." He said, "You did not harm it by doing so in a Christian way, so do not leave it."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ taught me how to pray and fast. He said, "Pray like this and fast. When the sun sets, eat and drink until you can distinguish the white thread from the black thread. Fast for thirty days unless you see the new moon before that. So I took two threads, one black and one white, and I looked at them but I couldn't distinguish between them. So I mentioned this to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and he laughed and said, 'O Ibn Hatim, that is the whiteness of the day from the darkness of the night.'"
[Machine] Adi bin Hatim said, "O Messenger of Allah, I shoot game and then search for its traces after a night, and I find my arrow in it. He said: 'If you find your arrow in it and a prey has not eaten from it, then eat it.' I mentioned this to Abu Bishr and he narrated from Sa'id bin Jubair, from Adi, from the Prophet ﷺ who said: 'If you find your arrow in it, know that you have killed it. So eat it.'"
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Beware of the fire, even if it's with half a date."
[Machine] "When Allah ﷻ sent the Prophet ﷺ, I fled from him until I reached the furthest land of the Muslims, beyond the Romans. I hated the place I was in, to the point that I hated him more than anyone else, no matter where I came from. I said, 'I will come to this man, and by Allah, if he is truthful, then I will hear from him, and if he is a liar, then I will not lose anything.' So I went to him, and the people recognized me, saying, 'This is Adi bin Hatim.' He said, 'Three times.' Then he said to me, 'O Adi bin Hatim, embrace Islam, and you will be safe.' I said, 'I am already from the people of a religion.' He said, 'O Adi bin Hatim, embrace Islam, and you will be safe.' I said it three times. He said, 'I know more about your religion than you do.' I said, 'Do you know more about my religion than I do?' He said, 'Yes.' Then he asked, 'Don't you lead your people?' I said, 'Yes.' He said, 'Then mention Al-Rakoosiyyah.' He said it so distinctly that I couldn't forget it. Then he said, 'For sure, the property will not be lawful for you.' I felt humbled by him. He said, 'Do you know the place of confusion?' I said, 'I have heard of it, but I have not visited it.' He said, 'Soon the confusion will come out of it without a neighbor, and it will circumambulate the Kaaba.' Yazid bin Harun said, 'A neighbor.' Yunus said, 'Permissible.' Then he returned to the hadith of Adi bin Hatim until he mentioned the circumambulation of the Kaaba, and it is likely that the treasures of Kisra bin Hurmuz will be opened.' I said, 'Kisra bin Hurmuz?' He said, 'Kisra bin Hurmuz.' I said, 'Kisra bin Hurmuz?' He said it three times. 'And it is likely that someone will seek charity from him and he will not find anyone to accept his wealth.' He said, 'Indeed, I have seen two things, I have seen the confusion coming out of the confusion without a neighbor, until it circumambulated the Kaaba. And I was on the horses that galloped. Yunus said, 'It galloped over the cities, and I swear by Allah, you will be the third, for it is the hadith of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that I narrated to you.'"

The Prophet ﷺ as saying: When the animal at which you shot falls in water, is drowned, and dies, do not eat. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2850)
"Whoever swears an oath, then sees something better than it, let him do that which is better." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3781)
[Machine] The horses of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived, or he said, the messengers of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived, and I was near a scorpion, so they took my aunt and some people. They brought them to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he ordered them to line up for him. She said, "O Messenger of Allah, the newcomer went away and the baby is gone, and I am an old woman with no one to serve me. So who will show me kindness, as God has shown kindness to you?" He asked her, "Who is your neighbor?" She said, "Adi ibn Hatim." He said, "The one who has run away from God and His Messenger?" She said, "So who will show me kindness?" He said, "When he returned, a man came to him, and we could see that it was Ali. He said, 'Put her on a camel and he asked her.' So she went to him and said, 'You have done something that your father used to do.' He said, 'Did you visit him willingly or as a monastic?' She said, 'Such and such person came to him and got something from him, and such and such person came to him and got something from him.' He said, 'So I came to him, and there was a woman and children with him.' They mentioned their relationship to the Prophet ﷺ , so I knew that he did not have the dominion of Khusra or Caesar. He asked him, 'O Adi ibn Hatim, what has prevented you from saying there is no god but Allah? Is there any god but Allah? What has prevented you from saying Allah is the Greatest? Is there anything greater than Allah?' She said, 'So I have submitted and I saw his face light up, and he said, 'Indeed, the Jews are the ones who have earned wrath, and the Christians are the ones who have gone astray.' Then they asked him to praise Allah, and he praised Him and said, 'As for what follows, you people should submit yourself and lower yourselves from pride, as a person submits with a sa' of dates to another person with a handful of dates. Shu'bah said, 'My most knowledgeable opinion is that he said it is one date with a part of a date.' And verily, one of you will meet Allah, and yet he will say, 'What should I say?' Didn't I make you hearing and seeing? Didn't I give you wealth and children? What did you prepare?' So he will look in front of him, behind him, to his right and to his left, and he will not find anything. So the fire will not touch anyone except with his face. So fear the fire, even with a part of a date. And if you do not find that, then with a gentle word. Indeed, I do not fear poverty for you, for Allah will support you and give you victory, or He will open for you until the camels can walk between Al-Hirah and Yathrib. Indeed, what the thieving fears most is the loss of her property.' Muhammad ibn Ja'far said, 'I heard this from Shu'bah, and I recited it to him.'"

[Machine] I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about hunting with a dog. He said, "If you send your trained dog and you call its name, and it catches the prey, then you should mention the name of Allah and feed it from the prey. But if it kills the prey, then eat it, but do not eat from it."

[Machine] I was asking people about the hadith of Adi ibn Hatim, and he mentioned the hadith while he was next to me, but I did not ask him about it. So I went to him and asked him. He said, "Yes, when the Prophet ﷺ was sent [as a messenger], I disliked him with the strongest dislike I ever felt for anything."
[Machine] I said to 'Adi ibn Hatim, "A narration has reached me about you that I would like to hear from you." So he mentioned the narration.
Good deeds of Hatim al-Tai
[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, my father used to maintain family ties and do good deeds. Does he receive any reward for that?" He replied, "Indeed, your father sought something, and he achieved it."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Beware of the Fire!" He turned his face in such a way that we thought he was looking at it. Then he said, "Beware of the Fire!" and turned his face again. He repeated this two or three times, saying, "Beware of the Fire, even if it is with half a date (in charity). And if you cannot find it, then with a kind word."
[Machine] I said, "O Prophet of Allah, we are hunters." He replied, "When one of you throws his arrow, let him mention the name of Allah the Exalted. If he kills the prey, then let him eat it. But if he finds it dead in water, then he should not eat it, for he does not know whether the water caused its death. However, if he finds his arrow in the prey after a day or two and does not find any trace other than his arrow, then if he wishes, let him eat it." He said, "And when his dog is sent after it, let him mention the name of Allah. If he catches it and kills it, then let him eat it. But if the dog eats from it, then he should not eat it, for the dog has only held it for himself and did not catch it for him. And if his dog joins other dogs that he did not mention the name of Allah upon, then he should not eat it, for he does not know which one of them killed it."
[Machine] "That is not permissible for you in your religion," he said. I humbled myself, so he mentioned the narration.
I asked Messenger of Allah ﷺ about hunting the game with the help of Mi'rad, whereupon he said: If it strikes (the game) with its point, then eat it, but if it strikes flat, that is (the game is) beaten (into death), (then do not eat that) 'Adi further said: I asked him about hunting with the help of a dog, whereupon he said: If that (the dog) catches it (the game) for you and does not eat out of that, then you eat (the game) for Dhakat (slaughtering) of that is its being caught by it (by the dog). But if you find another dog besides it, and you fear that that dog (the second one) had caught it (the game) along with that (your dog) and killed it. then don't eat; for you recited the name of Allah on your dog and did not recite that on the other one (which joined your dog incidentally). (Using translation from Muslim 1929f)
If it strikes (the game) with its point, then eat, but if it strikes flatly and it dies, that is Waqidh (beaten into death), do not eat that. I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about (hunting with the help of) dogs, whereupon he said. When you send your dog (for hunting) reciting the name of Allah, then eat (the game), but if some part of it is eaten (by the dogs, then do not eat that, for it (your dog) has caught that (the-game) for itself. I (again) said: If I find along with my dog another dog, and do not know which of (the dogs) has caught (the game). then (what should I do)? Thereupon he ('Messenger of Allah) said: Then don't eat that, for you recited the name of Allah on your dog and not on the other one. (Using translation from Muslim 1929c)
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "When you send your dog and name it to mix with other dogs, and they all chase it, do not eat it because you do not know which one caught it. And when you throw and name it and it hunts, then eat it. If it does not catch anything, do not eat it. Do not eat from the prey unless you have mentioned Allah's name over it. And do not eat from the almond unless you have mentioned Allah's name over it."
[Machine] I asked, "O Messenger of Allah, should I send my trained dog?" He said, "If you send your trained dog and mention the name of Allah, then it will be a means of holding you back, so you may eat from its lawful catch." I asked, "And what if it kills?" He said, "If it kills except for a dog similar to it, then it is permissible (to eat)." I asked, "O Messenger of Allah, should I throw it from its hunting position?" He said, "As long as it does not tear the animal apart, then eat from it. But if it tears it apart, then do not eat it."
[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, then he mentioned its meaning."
