“I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, should slaughtering only be done in the throat or upper chest?’ He said: ‘If you stab it in the thigh that will suffice you.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3184)

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَمَا تَكُونُ الذَّكَاةُ إِلَّا فِي الْحَلْقِ أَوِ اللَّبَّةِ؟ قَالَ لَوْ طَعَنْتَ فِي فَخِذِهَا لَأَجْزَأَكَ

[AI] Likewise. He said: I heard him say: "By your father."

مِثْلَهُ، قَالَ: وَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ: «وَأَبِيكَ».
